Olentia Eyeing a Strong Return in The Nivison

Olentia

Quality mare OLENTIA is poised for a strong first-up performance in the $250,000 Group 3 feature, The Nivison, over 1200m at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday.

Trained by Chris Waller, OLENTIA boasts an impressive record of six wins from 14 starts. Two starts ago, the Zoustar mare claimed the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes (1500m) in dominant fashion. Although she hasn’t raced since her seventh-place finish in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf (1600m) at Randwick in April, her recent eye-catching trial indicates she’s primed for a bold return.

OLENTIA excels first-up, having won three of her four fresh starts, and stands out as the market favorite with top jockey Tommy Berry aboard. Her main rivals include ROOTS, who resumed with a fast-finishing second in the Group 3 Tibbie Stakes and is expected to improve, and Victorian raider A LITTLE DEEP, who has been in career-best form with two wins and a second from her last three outings.

Others to watch include BLANC DE BLANC, COCO JAMBOO, and BALLROOM BELLA, who all have the potential to surprise.
