Race 1 – 12 VICTORY CHAMPION

It pays to overlook his unplaced effort at his latest outing, as he was subsequently found to have bled. Instead, attention should be given to his previous form, which includes performances around talented types AURIO and HOT DELIGHT, both of whom have since been competitive in Class 3 company.

He has trialled well in preparation for his first-up assignment and looks one to watch against this moderate opposition.

Race 5 – 4 PACKING FIGHTER

Well supported in the market last start, he was forced to work early from a wide draw to settle on the speed before those exertions took their toll in the straight, finishing fifth and beaten 4.25 lengths over 1800m on a rain-affected track. He was also disadvantaged by a wide gate at his previous outing, where he finished sixth.

Now eased in the ratings, he looks capable of producing an improved performance with a more economical run in transit.

Sectional Stars

Race 2 – 11 DRACO

He was last seen finishing strongly into eighth in a slowly run race over this track and distance in March, recording the second-fastest final sectional in 22.85 seconds. Resuming from a break, he appears to have dropped to a winnable mark and looks one to watch closely first-up.

Race 8 – 9 NUCLEOZOR

He has shown steady improvement since returning from a 10-month break in April, finishing seventh over 1400m first-up before closing strongly to finish fifth over a mile at his latest outing. The slow tempos on both occasions further enhance the merit of those performances, and he could represent good value stepping up to 2000m.
