This year’s The Everest winner, THINK ABOUT IT, aims to continue his winning streak in Saturday’s $3 million Giga Kick Stakes over 1300m at Rosehill Racecourse, Australia.

THINK ABOUT IT is the short-priced favourite for the event, which comes as no surprise given he has put together nine consecutive victories, culminating in a last-start victory in the world’s richest turf race, the $20 million The Everest in mid-October. Jockey Sam Clipperton has never lost aboard the five-year-old and gets a perfect opportunity to add to his tally from barrier three.

Stablemate Private Eye is the only serious danger, according to Australian betting agency prices, with the six-year-old seeking to improve upon his third-place finish in The Everest. His jockey, Nash Rawiller, will continue his association with Private Eye, who is drawn in barrier six.

The only other runner to come through The Everest, Mazu, failed to make an impression, while Cascadian brings a different quality to this field as the three-time Group 1 winner and resumes from a 201-day spell.

The Eagle can land for Amelia’s Jewel

The stage is set for Saturday’s Golden Eagle (1500m) at Rosehill Racecourse, Australia, with a capacity field vying for their share in the $10 million prize money up for grabs.

Perth trainer Simon Miller’s star mare, AMELIA’S JEWEL, heads the betting after drawing perfectly in barrier 5, according to connections. It’s the first time this preparation that the nine-time winner out of 12 has drawn a gate, after navigating wide draws in all three runs this spring.

Amelia’s Jewel line up in Saturday’s Golden Eagle.

Connections are confident of a rebound from her disappointing ninth-place finish in the G1 Toorak Handicap last start, where she reportedly had a bug.

Drawn inside of her is the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained HAWAII FIVE OH, who is looking for the extra trip after his midfield The Everest run and has the tactical speed to map perfectly.
