Group 3 Concorde Stakes attracts Group 1 line up

Nature Strip has been retired after Saturday's G3 Concorde Stakes.

Veteran sprinter NATURE STRIP will be headlining an all-star cast in Saturday’s $1 million Group 3 Concorde Stakes (1000m) at Randwick Racecourse in Australia.

With spring well and truly in the air, NATURE STRIP is one of five G1 winners set to line up in the feature event. The other G1 winners include EDUARDO, IN SECRET, BELLA NIPOTINA, and SHELBY SIXTYSIX. The majority of these horses are first-up and have bigger goals in mind, making this event ultra-competitive.

NATURE STRIP began his preparation en route to winning The Everest by claiming the 2021 Concorde, while EDUARDO was last year’s winner. However, they did not contest each other’s editions.

Starry Heights reveling in the moment

Thriving four-year-old STARRY HEIGHTS chases four wins on end in the $80,000 Ratings 66+ Handicap over 1600m at Belmont Racecourse in Australia on Saturday.

Since blinkers were applied three starts ago, STARRY HEIGHTS has been on a rampage posting a hat-trick of wins, with the Star Turn gelding now boasting four wins from eight starts.

Starry Heights has been a big improver in blinkers.

Trainers Grant & Alana Williams are striking while the iron is hot, returning STARRY HEIGHTS to the scene of the crime where he won a race of the same nature two weeks ago. Well placed, the in-form gelding looks on track to extend his winning streak.
