One of the greatest jockeys of all time, Lester Piggott has passed away aged 86 in Switzerland, where he lived the latter part of his life
The legendary British rider rode for almost 50 years, amassing 4,493 winners and was crowned champion jockey 11 times. He rode a record nine Derby winners and more than 300 Group 1 winners.
PIGGOTT, who rode all around the world, had several successful stints on the MRA Circuit where he rode at the old Bukit Timah racecourse for some of the industry’s biggest owners and greatest ever horse trainers.
