At one stage it appeared as if Keep On Dancing would continue winning and go on to compete in the best races around as she had won six out of a string of seven races last season. But the run came to an end perhaps, as a result of her running at Greyville.

Trainer Wendy Whitehead will be delighted racing is back at Scottsville on Sunday and her Silvano mare could be ready to pick up from where she left off.

She runs in the best race on the day, Race 7 a MR 102 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1500m, and it is a good field with many a proper top division runner in the race.

Mount Laurel was unlucky to lose her last race, the Grade 3 Flamboyant Stakes, as she continued to hang after moving up the likely winner allowing another classy individual, Zimbaba, to get by.

She finished ahead of Keep On Dancing (at Greyville) prior and rates the obvious danger. Value wise Keep On Dancing should jump at decent odds so an each way bet sounds about right on her chances swingers and exactas with Mount Laurel should also prove profitable. Add in in-form Time To Roll and dark horse Glory Days for Trifectas and Quartets.

Whitehead’s yard may also go out on a bang with Sky Café in Race 8, a Maiden Plate for fillies over 1200m. Sky Café runs in a race low on form and more importantly has drawn ideally. She ran her worst race here two runs back but didn’t enjoy the soft underfoot conditions on the day finishing short and that run is best struck off her form.

Interestingly all three runners are drawn better in stalls No 1, No 2 and No 3 are first-timers so she could take full advantage.

Other in-form runners to follow on the day include Thunder Masala (Race 5) and Pacific Warrior (Race 6) who both race for stables in hot form. Both were eye catching in their recent displays and could follow up with more improvement.
