Race 7 – 8 M M CONCORD

His last start on the AWT is best overlooked, as he was caught wide and travelled uncomfortably throughout. Prior to that, he made the running and finished a creditable sixth over this track and distance after attracting strong market support.

The switch back to turf should work in his favour, and he looks capable of producing an improved effort with a further drop in the ratings.

Race 9 – 3 HAPPY INDEX

He had little luck last start, racing wide throughout from an awkward draw while settling off the speed. After covering extra ground in a slowly run race, he could only manage a modest sixth over this track and distance.

A closer look at his previous form suggests he is better suited when ridden more positively, and it would be no surprise to see him improve first-up.

Sectional Stars

Race 8 – 11 GORGEOUS VICTORY

He resumed with an encouraging effort over this track and distance four weeks ago, posting the fastest final sectional to finish fourth in a race dominated by the leader. Stripping fitter second-up, he is edging closer to a win and looks well worth following.

Race 10 – 2 TITAN PEGASUS

Despite the wide draw, he showed significant improvement last time out, flashing home late to finish third over this track and distance. Resuming off an eye-catching trial, he looks primed to produce a bold showing first-up and was also singled out by trainer David Eustace before the season as one worth keeping an eye on.
