Greeff should have another good day

Trainer Alan Greeff 练马师格林福

It is back on the Polytrack again this Friday at Fairview, and trainer Alan Greeff should have another good day.

Having said that, chief rival Dean Smith should win Race 2, a MR 86 Handicap over 1000m, with his decent three-year-old Master Mtoto.

This Real Gone Kid gelding won his first two starts and has been runner-up in his next three outings.

Master Mtoto proved to be just in need of his latest start when caught very late by Slash ‘N Burn over this course and distance in August.

Having had only five starts against Slash ‘N Burn’s 10, it is very likely Master Mtoto will improve past that rival. It will be the first time JP van der Merwe rides the gelding, while Callan Murray will rider Slash ‘N Burn on this occasion.

Rush Green and Chatterbox look the best of the Alan Greeff-trained and Fourie-ridden runners at this meeting, but they do have many other chances of scoring.

The Gimmethegreenlight colt Rush Green has had just three starts, winning second time out.

He was caught too far out of his ground when returning from a break last time out.

He takes on seven rivals in Race 4, a MR 80 Handicap over 1400m.

He is not well drawn in stall No. 6, but he will strip fitter and has shown he can quicken up very nicely.

Canford Cliffs filly Chatterbox has shown she is improving with every start and looks the one to beat in Race, a MR 70 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1200m.

This three-year-old filly showed sprinting was her game when making all the running in a handicap over the course and distance last month, and a four-point penalty is probably not going to stand in the way of another victory for her.
