One of the most prestigious events in international horse racing returns to ParisLongchamp this October, as the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe 2026 brings together outstanding thoroughbreds, jockeys and trainers from around the world.
First staged in 1920, the Arc has grown into one of the defining races of the European season. Contested over 2,400 metres, the Group 1 race provides a unique test of speed, stamina and class, bringing leading three-year-olds together with accomplished older horses on one of racing’s biggest stages.
The 2026 edition will take place on Sunday, 4 October, forming the centrepiece of a two-day racing festival at ParisLongchamp on 3–4 October. This year’s international entry once again reflects the global appeal of the race, with horses entered from France, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany and Japan.
With more than a century of history behind it, the Arc continues to produce unforgettable sporting moments and champions whose names become part of racing history.
