Race 3 – 4 MADE FOR LIFE

He showed improvement after dropping to Class 5 for the first time last start, charging home strongly to finish fourth over 1200m. With a clearer run in the straight, he may well have finished in the top three.

Following a further rating drop during the off-season, he looks well placed to make an immediate impact first-up.

Race 7 – 4 CALIFORNIA WAVES

A tardy start compromised his chances on his Class 4 debut last time out, forcing him to settle further back than intended. The slow tempo then made matters worse, leaving those racing off the speed at a clear disadvantage, so that effort is best overlooked.

He had previously produced several honest runs in Class 3 and deserves another chance at his second start in this grade.

Race 5 – 2 KEMPES

From a wide draw last start, he settled patiently off the speed before reeling off a fast final sectional to finish seventh over 1400m in Class 3. Having trialled well for his return, he should relish the drop to Class 4 and can make his presence felt under the right race shape.

Race 9 – 8 THUNDER KIT

After a luckless third two starts ago, when held up from the 400m to the 150m, he produced another eye-catching effort last time out, attacking the line strongly to finish third once again. He has shown that he is competitive in this grade and looks one to follow closely in the new season.
