Seoul Race 1: Class 4 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

(5) MIGHTY HUNKY is a Seo Hong-soo trained debutante by Happy Saver that trialled twice in April for a second and a victory. The score was by four-lengths and considering the second placed horse in that trial Major Fury has subsequently had two races for two wins this colt should be extremely hard to beat indeed. (8) MAHO was an odds-on chance on his debut and was a seven-length second behind a smart looking type. He may very well be able to go one better. (3) SAUDI SOCKS has six-and-three-quarter lengths to find with Maho from that race but rates next over Jung Ho-ik prepared Caracaro newcomer (4) GARAKAI with (7) MIGHTY HUSH and (2) SUPREME DIA best of the rest.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(8) BREEDO GALAXY comes off a last start second where he was only beaten a half-length and had been just behind the placegetters at his previous two runs so he will go close again. (10) ROAD TO PERFECT has only missed the top five on one occasion from seven starts so with that sort of record rates as a chance. (1) ILGEUP BISUL has almost seven-lengths to find with Breedo Galaxy from their last runs a month ago but rates next whilst (11) DONGBAEK has been consistent enough to be given a hope. (3) LOVELY JACKPOT is best of the rest over (7) SEOBU KING.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) LAVITA has been close-up in three of her five runs whilst being well out the back in the other two. If putting her best foot forward she can prove hard to beat. (5) QUEENS TIGER has been beaten five-lengths into third and fifth in two runs so that form is more than good enough and Seo Seung-un is on board. (3) DREAM DIA has been a beaten favourite in each of her last three starts but will be around the mark if on song whilst (7) SONGDANG JILJU rates next over (9) ANGEL TIME and (10) P N S ME.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(8) FLYING SMART was a bit of an enigma in her first three starts getting out of her ground as favourite on each occasion and subsequently was not sent off favourite last time and duly got the cash. She showed early pace to lead last start, unlike any of her previous runs, and that win should have done her confidence the world of good. She has ability and can go on with the job. (11) GANGHAN GAMMA was behind a couple of nice winners at maiden level but after three minor placings at that grade to be promoted to one win company she only beat three home when running at this class for the first time. She can be given another chance, however. (3) MIGHTY SHINE comes off a last start second and rates as one of the each-way chances as does (4) X-TEN with (7) CUPID K and (10) GRAY GO next best.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(6) ROAD TO CHAMPION was beaten narrowly by a subsequent winner in Major Fury in the first juvenile race of the year at this venue before winning at the end of last month. He looks to have ability and could easily win again. He will have some decent opposition however as it is a good race for the grade and chief among those is (1) PURPLE KOREA who has recorded two wins from five starts and has never missed the top four all in strong enough maidens or races at this grade. (2) BEAT CODE was second to Major Fury in that subsequent win of his at the beginning of this month and had won his maiden the start prior. (3) SAVERS is unbeaten from one start so he naturally cannot be denied a chance with (5) MG FIRST best of the rest over (11) SEMYEONG PEAK.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) BEST SECRET chased home a smart winner on debut before leading throughout to win her maiden by eight-lengths in the middle of May. She only got done in the last stride when making her first run at this grade last month and can go one better. (10) SUNGLASS won on debut at the beginning of the year but has not been able to quite go on with it subsequently. Her best effort from five runs at this level has only been a third but she can be given an each-way chance again. (5) RAON THE CLARA was behind Sunglass in that race the latter won, and the former has also found life harder since coming up to Class 5. She still rates as a hope though with (11) ECLIPSE ELLY who can be given another chance despite bombing out on her first run for three-and-a-half months last start when she had her first run at this level and found things tough. (6) PARKA SHINE and (3) JEONGSEONG VICE rate next.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(11) EVERY TIME has done little wrong in four starts with three second places as a juvenile last year before breaking his duck in his first three-year-old run by seven-lengths last month. He looks worth following and is the one to beat. (8) CHUPUNGNYEONG has been much improved over the last couple of runs with a course, distance, and grade win two back before coming from last to run fourth most recently. (4) GLOBAL SERVE continues to finish around the mark and should do so again despite carrying equal topweight. (7) STORM CROWN, (6) BYEOKSONG and the resuming (3) BEST DREAM are next best.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) FLYING HONOR comes into this following an impressive five-length course and distance victory one grade below this. He has been a model of consistency in five runs to date and despite coming up the nine pounds to Class 4 grade he was good enough last time to suggest that he can take the step up in grade in his stride. (2) STUNNING FLATTER is another consistent type although in his case he has not won for a while. He does however rate as a strong each-way chance as does (8) TAEGISAN KING who won over the course, distance, and grade last time by four-lengths. He comes up nine pounds and three kilograms but Seo Seung-un rides for the first time which is naturally no disadvantage. (7) BLOOD MOUNTAIN rates next over (4) TAPDINE and last start winner (5) HYEUKMUSANG.

Seoul Race 9: Class 2 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(1) HWANG GEUM EO JANG was outstanding in leading throughout to win the Derby over the course and distance at the beginning of May after putting the writing on the wall with a tough second in the KRA Cup Mile (Korean 2000 Guineas) at the end of March. He missed the Minister’s Cup after being a little below 100% in the build-up to that race and connections opted not to risk him. He makes his first run since his Derby glory, and it will be a shock if he does not follow up his Classic success on the road to perhaps bigger fish to fry, pardon the pun considering Hwang Geum Eo Jang translates to Golden Fish in English, later in the year. (8) GENERAL WIND has been an outstanding front-running winner in two of his past four starts at Class 4 and 3 level by three and eight-lengths, respectively. The other two runs have seen him finish ninth and twelfth in the KRA Cup Mile and Minister’s Cup so as well as he is going it would be a shock if he won but it would also be a shock if he were not to finish second. (3) STUNNING MONEY was disappointing last start but had been going well prior and rates as one of the many place chances along with (7) MUSTANG POWER, the resuming (4) JISAN FORCE and (5) MIGHTY EVER amongst others.

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(10) MAEUM HANA was beaten on debut but has since won four consecutive races in impressive fashion. His most recent win was at this grade over a mile three months ago and he resumes after being back in work since the eighth of this month and if anywhere near his top form despite the six pound and three kilogram rise from his last race he should continue his winning streak. (2) JAZZ PURPLE won a hat-trick of races before running second last start when carrying a big weight. He comes up one grade so therefore carries five-and-a-half kilograms less in this and is the danger to Maeum Hana if any. (4) GIANT BOSS continues to race well and can go well again with (6) BEST PITCH next best over (9) POWER BAND and (8) SONGDANG HWANGTAEJA.
