J’aurais Du (FR) A respectable 6th in a Handicap over 1900m at Deauville on 7 April. He has been performing well on the sand of late but has decent form on turf as well. Orange Vif (FR) Finished 8th in a Handicap over 2000m at Compiegne on 27 March. His recent form is not great but his rating has dropped and he could be competitive again. Akagera (FR) Did not show when 13th in a Handicap over 1800m at Fontainebleau on 13 March. Beaten into 2nd place last year, she comes in well under the condtions of this race this time. Neyshapur (FR) A reasonable 4th in a Claimer over 1800m at Croise-Laroche on 4 April. That was her first attempt at 1800m and she was competitive throughout.
RACE 2: H. VAN DE POELE HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 1200M – TIME: 22:35 PRIZE MONEY: EUR16300
Sugar Daddy (FR) Finished 7th in a Handicap over 1200m at Chantilly on 2 April. That was his first run back on turf in over 6 months and his rating has dropped. A definite contender. Yohio (FR) Beaten 6 lengths in a Maiden over 1400m at Limoges on 15 March. Not beaten far when 2nd in his only other run in a Handicap but it was over 1700m. Beware Of The Bear (IRE) A promising 5th in a Handicap over 1500m at Marseille Vivaux on 22 March. That was in quite a strong field and he should be right there at the finish. St Lunaire (FR) Showed up well when 4th in a Claimer over 1400m at Chantilly on 30 March. That was his best performance since he was gelded and back to 1200m he will pose a serious threat.
RACE 3: EQUURES HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 1200M – TIME: 23:10 PRIZE MONEY: EUR14000
Rue Eble (FR) Finished 7th in a Handicap over 1600m at Saint-Cloud on 24 March. That was a promsing effort against stronger and the drop in both trip and class will work in her favour. Amico Pietro (FR) A close-up 3rd in a Handicap over 1100m at Croise-Laroche on 20 March. At the weights he can turn the tables on NI-OUININON (1) who won that race. Adora (FR) Beaten just 2.5 lengths into 4th in a Handicap over 1400m at Chantilly on 19 February. That was a promising first run at Handicap level there could be more to come. Niouininon (FR) A narrow winner of a Handicap over 1100m at Croise-Laroche on 20 March. That was a gutsy performance but is now faced with a 2.5kg penalty although could be up to the task.
RACE 4: J.Y. ARTU HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2500M – TIME: 23:45 PRIZE MONEY: EUR11500
Happy Chrisnat (FR) A narrow 2nd in a Handicap over 2500m at Croise-Laroche on 20 March. Has finished 2nd and 3rd in five of his last six races off his current rating and can get it right this time. Vesinaba (FR) A close-up 4th in a Handicap over 2500m at Croise-Laroche on 20 March. He was not far behind both the 2nd and 3rd in that race and must come into the reckoning. Alicanto (FR) Winner of the Handicap over 2500m at Croise-Laroche on 4 April. He ran on powerfully to get up, and although carrying a penalty does deserves respect. Queenfleur (FR) Won a Condtions race over 2400m at Compiegne on 27 March. She looks well handicapped with her jockey’s allow-ance.
RACE 5: FRANCE GALOP HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2500M – TIME: 00:20 PRIZE MONEY: EUR16300
Figma (IRE) Showed what she is capable of with a victory in a Conditions race at Nort-sur-Erdre over this distance on 5 April. Tougher task this time but can follow up. Siska (FR) Very consistent and finished third in a Conditions race at Le Lion-d’Angers over 2000m on 5 April. Should fight out the finish once again. Dschingis Neckara (FR) Did not show her best when 6th in a handicap at Saint-Cloud over 2400m on 3 April. A good winner before that and can be a threat. Glenmore (FR) Showed improvement first time on the grass when successful in a Conditions race at Limoges over 2100m on 15 March. Can challenge for top honours on handicap debut.
RACE 6: BENEVOLES CLAIMING STAKES (TURF TRACK) – 2500M – TIME: 00:55 PRIZE MONEY: EUR15400
Tiamoway (FR) Ureliable and finished 12th in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 31 March. Not reliable but has claims at this level. Acotango (FR) Victorious in his last three starts, the latest in a handicap at Moulins over 2400m on 9 April. Can add another win to the tally. Nepalais (FR) Did not show his best when 11th in a claimer at Le Mans over 1950m on 20 March. In good form before that and can contest the finish. Incremental (IRE) Did not show his best when 11th in a handicap at Saint-Cloud over 2400m on 15 March. Might be better on the.
RACE 7: PMU CLAIMING STAKES (TURF TRACK) – 2500M – TIME: 01:27 PRIZE MONEY: EUR13400
Merveille (FR) Victorious in a Conditions race at Lyon-La Soie over 1800m on 21 March. Showed improvement and could follow up. Johnny Drive (FR) Victorious in his last two starts, the latest a claimer at Moulins over 2400m on 9 April. Can complete his hat-trick. Lady Gatsby (FR) Holding form and finished 4th in a claimer at Pau over 2000m on 3 February. Capable of being competitive once again. Capitol Hill (FR) Not reliable and finished 10th in a claimer at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 5 March. Can make the frame when in the right mood.
RACE 8: EVREUX HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 2500M – TIME: 02:00 PRIZE MONEY: EUR10500
Sudden Death (FR) Consistent and was runner up in a Conditions race at Loudeac over 2850m on 15 March. Can go one place better. Dschingis Arrow (FR) Unreliable but was runner up in a Conditions race at Fougeres over 3200m on 5 April. Has claims in this line-up. Landaryna (FR) Showed some improvement when a runner-up in a handicap at Le Croisé-Laroche over 2500m on 4 April. Should be right the at the finish. Pontd’yeu (FR) Victorious in a Conditions race at Morlaix over 2600m on 29 March. Showed vast improvement that day and could have more to offer.
