Race 6 – 4 MALPENSA

Slow to begin last start, he settled towards the rear of the field. Positioned 11th of 14 at the 400m mark, he produced a sustained burst in the straight to finish fourth over this track and distance. With a clean jump, a top-three finish was well within reach.

With two career runs under his belt, he remains open to further improvement and can prove a knockout chance third-up.

Race 10 – 6 SUPERB KID

His last start carried hidden merit after an awkward jump put him on the back foot early, forcing him to settle well off the speed. Once into the straight, he ran on sharply up the inside to finish ninth over this distance, beaten just three lengths.

Below his last winning mark, he could sneak into the placings at long odds with a clean jump this week.

Sectional Stars

Race 2 – 1 HERBAL STAR

Despite enduring a wide trip throughout last start, he still attacked the line strongly late to finish second over this track and distance, marking his first run dropping to Class 4. In what appears an open affair this week, he could land his first local win with better luck in running.

Race 4 – 9 MONTA FRUTTA

It pays to overlook his last start, when he travelled wide off the speed from an awkward draw and failed to make an impact. Prior to that, he posted the fastest final 400m to finish runner-up over this track and distance. With a kinder run, he could make amends.
