Trainer Zietsman Oosthuizen has had a good run with Three Cheers this year, notching up three wins since June.

All three victories came on the Fairview Polytrack, two over 2000m and the third over 2200m. She will get a shot at another 2000m race at the track when she lines up in Race 3, a MR 76 Handicap for fillies and mares, on Monday 22 December.

The Soqrat filly was a disappointment last time out, finishing only sixth, 2.80 lengths behind Ginger Delight. The four-year-old filly is often slowly away, and on that particular occasion the early pace was not as fast as normal. Jockey Louie Mxothwa replaces the apprentice who rode her that day. He has only ridden her once and that saw him record a victory.

Trainer Alan Greeff continues to churn out a stream of winners and Fairy Knight should go close to winning Race 5, a Pinnacle Stakes over 1200m. The Global View gelding returned to his best with a very easy win over 1400m on this surface last time out and is just as effective over this distance.

There are some decent runners to oppose, but from draw No. 4 and with Richard Fourie retaining the ride, he does look the one to beat.

If neither of those selections manages to win, it might be worth going with Porfirio in the last race. This seven-year-old gelding was a very easy winner in his latest start.

He has clearly improved after a change of trainer, and jockey Muzi Yeni has stuck with him. It is a competitive race, but it would not be a surprise if he followed up.
