Schipole could provide a safe landing

Punters may find their banker in the lightly raced Schipole, who lines up in Race 5 at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday. Trained by Mike and Mathew de Kock, the filly impressed on local debut when beaten under a length in a Class 5 Handicap at Scottsville. She now steps up in class but carries less weight over 1400m – the trip of her maiden win. Despite a wide draw, she faces older, exposed rivals and any further improvement could see her go close.

Among the dangers, Skytrix drops in class with a useful claimer aboard, while Jazz Café improved with blinkers when winning last time and only carries a small penalty.

The feature, a 1000m B Stakes, looks competitive. Princess Hannah thrives over course and distance and should give another bold showing against male rivals. Lady Of Vix has a light weight, Intrepid steps up in class but is well in, while Mojo Man has shown improvement and benefits from a stronger rider.

Earlier, Xiphos could make a winning poly debut in Race 1 after attracting support last run, though Sovereign Command looks the safer choice following steady improvement. Little Cracker, better at the weights, is another to note. Race 2 is wide open, with Greenlight Queen, On Board, and Jane’s Vision among the key players.

In the maidens, Saudi Sweep (Race 3) makes her first start for a new yard and could be the right one, while Sally Port (Race 4) is improving with distance and looks well placed.

Later, Trippi T (Race 7) has ability but returns from a break, while consistent Isikwishikwishi and poly-specialist Preemptive Strike are dangers. The finale is another tricky affair, with Mc Dazzler, Viva Spirit, Bank Street, and Unicorn Alert all in with chances.
