Bosnia can make all the running

It is back to the Polytrack at Fairview on Friday, and it might pay to include the mare Bosnay in all your permutations.

She runs in Race 7, a Middle Stakes over 1600m, and is well weighted for this race.

A record of just four wins in 34 starts does not suggest she is anything special, but it is worth noting that three of those wins were on this surface.

It is also worth noting that the five-year-old mare has won over this course and distance, as well as twice over this distance.

With no obvious front-runners in the race besides her, she can make use of her pole position draw and possibly make all the running.

Jockey Muzi Yeni takes the ride for trainer Zietsman Oosthuizen.

This is a tough card, but the best bet does appear to be her stable companion – also ridden by Yeni – Desert Cloud in Race 3, a Maiden Plate over 1200m.

The Gimmethegreenlight filly makes her local debut and will be trying the Polytrack for the first time.

Desert Cloud was runner-up twice and placed third a couple of times in her six starts in Gauteng, and she does appear better than her rivals.

The same could generally be said about Brigham in Race 1, a Maiden Plate over 1900m.

This Buffalo Bill Cody gelding also makes his local debut and tries the Polytrack for the first time. He has been runner-up twice and on the pick of his form, should beat these rivals.
