Summary: HOLGUIN (5) was a good winner last time out and gets a confident vote to take out
this Listed race. APAX (1) is in good shape and is always a threat so it deserves the utmost
respect over a distance that suits. FAST RAAJ (3) is better than the last run would suggest and
could pop up at the finish. KENDLY (2) did better last year but cannot be dismissed away from
winning a race like this.

RACE 2: VOLNEY HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM CRAON RACE 7) – 1300M – TIME: 20:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR17000
Summary: Another competitive-looking handicap. TANIS (1) did not show her best on the PSF
last time out and will like it back on the grass. MISS WOO WOO (5) has been good in claimers of
late and will not go down without a fight. CHIRICCO (7) does better on the turf and can be
competitive. BAILEYS TOPAZE (2) has improved of late and looks likely to be in the mix of things
once again.

RACE 3: GROTTE CRISTAUX HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 1) – 1000M – TIME: 22:07 PRIZE MONEY: EUR18000
Summary: Track-specialist GLICOURT (8) knows this straight course like the back of his hand.
He finished behind INVIOLABLE SPIRIT (7) in a handicap over 1100m at Chantilly earlier this
month but is good value to turn the tables on that rival, who hasn’t won for almost two years.
RISKI CHOPE (5) is enjoying a good spell and should remain competitive for the leading places.
COOLMEEN ROYAL (9) has also performed well on this track and isn’t underestimated either,
judged on the strength and consistency of his recent form.

RACE 4: DES CHEVREUILS HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM FONTAINEBLEAU RACE 2) – 2200M – TIME: 22:42 PRIZE MONEY: EUR21000
Summary: NICE RULER (8) has improved with each handicap appearance and, on the evidence
of his fast-finishing 3rd over 1900m on PSF last time, this extended trip could unlock sufficient
progress for him to open his account. However, HOLLY PHELIE (2) is closely matched on that
form (finished a neck behind the selection) so she will pose a threat. TOTE BAG (12) will fare
better over this distance after a disappointing last start over an inadequate trip, so he isn’t
underestimated. SHALAA DANCER (11) is the only last-start winner in the race and he ought to
remain competitive despite a resultant penalty.
