1. FIRST ONE – Well beaten in both starts, with the latest being in a Conditions race at Saint-Malo
over 1800m on 22 August. Others are preferred
2. SERENITE DES ROSES – Has lost his way and was 11th last time out in a Conditions race at
Le Mans over 1400m on 15 May. Capable of improvement returning from a break
3. SAGANNE – Has run well in two of her three starts and was third in a Conditions race at Moulins
over 1400m on 26 August. Big chance in a weak race
4. EXQUISEMENT – Only moderate in two starts and was 5th last time out in a Conditions race at
Vichy over 1600m on 15 August. Capable of making the frame
5. WELPOME – Did not show much on her debut when 12th in a Conditions race at Saint-Malo over
1800m on 22 August. Capable of improvement but others are preferred
6. BAILEYS TOPAZE – Threatening to win a race and was runner-up last time out in a handicap at
Le Lion-d’Angers over 1400m on 18 August. Should fight out the finish
7. MON IDOLE – Disappointing last two runs and was 8th last time out in a Conditions race at
Clairefontaine-Deauville over 2200m on 24 April. Capable of better and has a place chance
8. FIRTH OF FIFTH – Unreliable so far and was well beaten last time out in a Conditions race at
Clairefontaine-Deauville over 1400m on 9 August. Capable of better and has a winning chance
9. TARPLEY – A three-year-old gelding by Mastery out of Extent who is making is debut. Watch
the betting
Summary: SAGANNE (3) flopped in her penultimate start but returned to form with a good run last
time out and could go close to winning this time around. FIRTH OF FIFTH (8) struggled last time
out but is clearly capable of better and has a winning chance. BAILEYS TOPAZE (6) is improving
and should be very competitive in this line-up. EXQUISEMENT (4) is capable of improvement and
is not out of it.

2. JUST A PERFECT DAY – Prefers the PSF and was 9th last time out in a handicap at Deauville
over 1900m on 3 August. Others are preferred
3. ZEYZOUN – A winner of two handicaps earlier this year and was third last time out in a Claimer
at La Teste-de-Buch over 1200m, Might play a minor role
4. KINGSFOLD – Very unreliable and was well beaten on the PSF last time out in a handicap at
Deauville over 1300m on 20 August. Others are much preferred
5. ANOBE – Holding his form well and was third last time out in a Conditions race at Saint-Malo
over 1800m on 22 August. Can contest the finish again
6. JIEPIES MELODY – Unreliable and was 8th last time out in a handicap at Saint-Malo over 1800m
on 8 August. Won her penultimate start and is capable of an upset
7. MR GOODNIGHT – Very consistent of late and was third last time out in a handicap at Deauville
over 1500m on 22 August. Should be very competitive again
8. MILAD – Unreliable and was well beaten last time out in a handicap at Deauville over 1400m on
22 August. Won a conditions race before that and can bounce back to score
9. FLEUR DE SEL – In good form and was third last time out in a handicap at Saint-Malo over
1800m on 22 August. Could earn some minor money
10. HARMATTAN – Disappointing form of late and was 6th last time out in a Conditions at Erbray
over 2200m on 17 August. Needs to find a few lengths to win
11. BABY GEORGE – Only fair of late and was 5th last time out in a handicap at Le Mans over
1950m on 28 September 2023. Likely to need this run returning from a break
12. DZARINA – Knocking hard at the door and was runner-up last time out in a Conditions race at
Saint-Malo over 1800m on 22 August. Can go one better this time
Summary: MILAD (8) is not easy to trust but she did win a Conditions race in her penultimate start
and is best judged on that performance. She gets a narrow vote to score in a very open-looking
race. ANOBE (5) is holding form well and should be a serious rival. MR GOODNIGHT (7) remains
in good shape and is clearly not out of it. KER WELEN (1) is consistent and also deserves respect.

2. PRETTY STORM – Very consistent and was a winner last time out in a Conditions race at Dax
over 2300m on 20 August. Can double up
3. VERA – Did not show her best when 11th last time out in a handicap at ParisLongchamp over
2200m on 20 June. Capable of better and has a winning chance
4. ARTUS THE BRAVE – Won on debut but has only been modest since then and was 8th last
time out in a handicap at Vichy over 2400m on 19 August. Needs to find a few lengths to win
5. LADYSHOW – Yet to win a race but was fourth last time out in a handicap at ParisLongchamp
over 2500m on 1 September. Has a place chance
6. ESTONIA MOON – Struggled on the PSF when 14th in a handicap at Deauville over 1500m on
13 August. Could do a lot better back on the turf
7. MADGIC’M – Did not show her best when well beaten last time out in a handicap at
ParisLongchamp over 2500m on 1 September. In good form before that and is not out of it
8. RAISON GARDEE – Finished 9th last time out in a Conditions race at Clairefontaine-Deauville
over 2200m on 24 August. Others are preferred
9. GRAPPA – Finished 9th last time out in a handicap at Argentan over 2900m on 26 August. Did
better in claimers before that and others are preferred
10. MISS INCOGNITO – Probably better on the turf and was 11th last time out in a handicap at
Deauville over 1900m on 22 August. Can bounce back and be a threat to these rivals
11. LHASA – Only modest last time out when 6th in a handicap at La Teste-de-Buch over 1900m
on 31 August. More is needed to beat these rivals
12. INTELLITA – Yet to win a race but is in good form and was runner-up last time out in a handicap
at Châteaubriant over 1950m on 16 August. Capable of making the frame
13. ESPERANCE CHAUFOUR – Did not show her best when 7th last time out in a Conditions race
at La Teste-de-Buch over 2400m on 28 July. Could earn some minor money
Summary: PRETTY STORM (2) was a very easy winner last time out and that did suggest more
wins were in the tank. She gets the confident vote to follow up. VERA (3) struggled last time out
but is capable of better and is a threat. MADGIC’M (7) was in good form before a disappointing last
run and deserves some respect. MISS INCOGNITO (10) should improve back on the grass.

August. Can follow up if in the same mood
2. LA PELEMOISE – Much improved of late and won last time out in a handicap at Saint-Malo over
1800m on 22 August. Carries a 3,50kg penalty but deserves respect
3. MADIGAN – Likes in back on the turf when fourth in Conditions race at Nort-sur-Erdre over
1800m on 11 August. Can contest the finish again
4. MAT LA FRISTOUILLE – Unreliable of late and was 8th last time out in a Conditions race at
Saint-Cloud over 2400m on 21 June. Could surprise back in a handicap
5. GWENN HA DU – Has struck form of late with two Conditions races wins, with the latest being
at Plouescat over 2600m on 16 August. Not out of it
6. TWIN SCAT – Showed what he is capable of with a handicap win last time out at Vichy over
2400m on 2 August 2023. Returns from a lengthy break and could need this run
7. LUNATICOS – On a very long losing run but is in good shape and was fourth last time out in a
handicap at La Teste-de-Buch over 2400m on 31 August. Has a place chance
8. KUMRAN – Returns from a lengthy beak but was a winner last time out in a handicap at
Pornichet-La Baule over 2100m on 30 January. Could need this run
9. SAREFFA – Disappointing of late and was well beaten last time out on the PSF in a Conditions
race at Deauville over 1500m on 8 August. Could improve back on the turf but others are preferred
10. NOVA SCOTIA – Has improved of late and was victorious last time out in a handicap at Le
Lion-d’Angers over 2000m on 18 August. Carries a 2kg penalty but is not out of it
11. DSCHINGIS GALI – Battling to regain best form and was 6th last time out in a handicap at
Saint-Malo over 1800m on 22 August. Others are preferred
12. SCAT LADY – Unreliable but did finish fourth last time out in a handicap at Moulins over 2200m
on 26 August. Could play a minor role
13. LA MOMY – Has struggled of late and was tenth last time out in a Conditions race at Saint-Malo
over 1800m on 22 August. Others are much preferred
Summary: LILI BLUE (1) returned to form with a solid win last time out and can follow up if in the
same mood but has been struggling in handicaps this year. LA PELEMOISE (2) has improved of
late and won a handicap last time out. She carries a significant penalty but would not be a surprise
winner. MADIGAN (3) showed improvement back on the grass for a new trainer and can contest
the finish. GWENN HA DU (5) is hat-trick-seeking and deserve consideration.
