1. TOMMY BOY – Well-bred Intello newcomer trained by Michal Demo who has engaged Clément
Lecoeuvre to ride this colt on debut
2. JUST – André Fabre-trained newcomer, a son of US Triple Crown winner Justify. Was
supplemented for this engagement
3. ESCAPE GAME – Pascal Bary-trained Siyouni colt whose dam was a two-year-old winner at
Leopardstown in Ireland. Likely type with Alexis Pouchin engaged
4. AL AALI – City Light newcomer from the stable of Lucie Pontoir, who has booked Anthony
Crastus to ride this colt. One to watch
5. EVER FAST – Seahenge colt to be ridden on debut by Stéphane Pasquier for trainer Flavie
Bresson. One to keep an eye on
6. NESTHORN – Maxime Guyon rides this Expert Eye colt whose dam closed off her career by
finishing 4th in a Group I at Goodwood. Francis-Henri Graffard trains
7. OPUS ONE – Newcomer with an attractive pedigree, being by Sea The Stars and out of a Listedwinning mare at York. Cristian Demuro rides for Jean-Claude Rouget

Summary: The highly coveted Prix de Montaigu, for unraced two-year-old colts and geldings, gets
proceedings underway and supplemented JUST (2), a son of US Triple Crown winner Justify, is
likely to go well on debut for André Fabre with Mickaël Barzalona in the irons. He could be worth
siding with to make a winning debut at the primary expense of well-bred Sea The Stars newcomer
OPUS ONE (7), trained by Jean-Claude Rouget. Pascal Bary-trained Siyouni colt ESCAPE GAME
(3 and NESTHORN (6), with Maxime Guyon engaged for Francis-Henri Graffard, shouldn’t be
underestimated.

SELECTIONS
JUST (2) – OPUS ONE (7) – ESCAPE GAME (3) – NESTHORN (6)

C2 – PRIX DE LA REBOURSIERE – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Newcomers Race – Flat – EUR € 30,000

hails from the family of Group II Prix Chaudenay winner Shankardeh
2. ROCKFENDER – Galiway debutante from the stable of Jean-Claude Rouget. One for the shortlist
with Cristian Demuro booked to ride
3. RUCHBAH – City Light filly, related to several Black-Type performers, trained by Christopher
Head – renowned for doing well with young horses. Candidate for success
4. CANDARSHANA – Too Darn Hot debutante trained by Mario Baratti, who has engaged Alexis
Pouchin to partner this filly. One to watch
5. INHEBHAA – Julien Carayon-trained Yafta newcomer to be ridden on debut by Jérôme Moutard.
Best watched for now
6. GARAMANTE – Tony Piccone is a notable jockey booking aboard this Omaha Beach debutante
trained by Fabrice Chappet. Beware
7. BLUE LILAS – Nicely bred François Rohaut-trained Blue Point newcomer to be ridden by Ioritz
Mendizabal. Not taken lightly
8. MISTRESS – Attractively bred Lope De Vega debutante trained by Christophe Ferland and to be
ridden by Maxime Guyon. A likely type on paper

Summary: This renewal of the Prix de la Reboursière – the female equivalent of the preceding Prix
de Montaigu – has attracted a field of 8 fillies with MISTRESS (8), a daughter of Lope De Vega and
Group I-placed Group III-winner Gold Luck, likely to start favorite. RUCHBAH (3) is related to
several Black-Type performers and, on pedigree, could also feature prominently on debut.
ROCKFENDER (2), for Jean-Claude Rouget, and well-bred SHANDANA (1), from the family of
Group II Prix Chaudenay winner Shankardeh, are others for whom cases can be made.

SELECTIONS
MISTRESS (8) – RUCHBAH (3) – ROCKFENDER (2) – SHANDANA (1)

C3 – PRIX DE CANAPVILLE – 1300m (a6f1/2) – ALL WEATHER – Class 4 Claiming Handicap – Flat – EUR € 16,000

1. ITAEWON – Course-and-distance winner on 28 December (just his second start) and won his
last start in a 1400m turf claimer at Dieppe on 29 July. Candidate for success
2. THE CHARM – Has achieved his best references (4 of his 5 career wins) on the PSF, including
2 at this level/in the claiming category. Didnt go unnoticed when 6th in a 1600m Compiegne
handicap on 22 July – not taken lightly
3. DROIT DE PAROLE – Well-performed veteran with sound references/form credentials, which
include a last-start 5th in a 1000m handicap on turf at Vichy on 7 August, having finished 3rd in a
1400m turf claimer in his previous outing at Dieppe (29 July)
4. FURIOSO – Unreliable and out of sorts/disappointing recently – only 11th in a 1200m claimer at
this venue on turf on 1 August. Place chance off a 1,5kg lower mark
5. URBAN BEAT – Runner-up in a 1200m turf handicap at Marseille-Borely on 4 September last
year but absent since finishing 8th in a 1000m turf handicap at Vichy on 26 September. Debuts in
this category on his reappearance – one to keep an eye on
6. SIRIUS SLEW – Capable, versatile veteran but inconsistent nowadays. Won a 1400m
ParisLongchamp handicap in May but finished unplaced in both subsequent starts – the latest (9th)
in a 1200m turf handicap at this venue on 7 July
7. PARURE DES SABLES – Ran on well to finish 4th in a 1200m turf claimer at Deauville on 1
August. Has references on PSF and will appreciate the extra 100m
8. AMAZON PRINCE – Soundly beaten in all 5 appearances this year, the latest (12th) in a 1300m
turf handicap at Vittel on 2 August. Could spark improvement in this grade dropped another 1,5kg
in the weights/ratings
9. JUMANO – Unplaced in 3 appearances/handicaps this year – consecutive recent outings after a
6-month layoff. Well-beaten over 1400m on this course (12th) in his most recent start on 30 July
but should fare better at this level
10. BIG BOOTS – Has made no impression (unplaced) in his 3 appearances this year, the latest
(9th) in a 1400m turf claimer at Dieppe on 29 July. Dropped another 2kg in the weights/ratings but
is best watched for now

Summary: PARURE DES SABLES (7) caught the eye when running on to finish 4th in a similar
contest at this venue on the turf earlier this month and she need only confirm that form/improvement
to fight for victory. ITAEWON (1) showed his form and well-being by winning in this grade at Dieppe
late last month and should remain competitive for the leading positions. JUMANO (9), although out
of sorts, has the means to make his presence felt too, especially at this level. RIGHT TO SPEECH
(3), competitive in the claiming category, and THE CHARM (2), who is most effective on this
surface, have legitimate podium prospects.

SELECTIONS
PARURE DES SABLES (7) – ITAEWON (1) – JUMANO (9) – DROIT DE PAROLE (3)

C4 – PRIX DES GRENIERS A SEL – 2000m (a1m1/4) – TURF – Class 2 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 53,000

1. EVERILLO – Has already proven his competitiveness at this level/off his current mark – and
showed his form and well-being by winning a 2000m handicap at Compiegne on 12 July. Ought to
remain competitive under a 1kg penalty
2. MORPHEWAN – Ultra-consistent colt with proven form references/credentials at this level,
including a last-start 2nd at La Teste over 2000m on 21 July. Will be a factor
3. LORCAN – Finished 2nd and 3rd in back-to-back Quinte+ races over 2000m at ParisLongchamp
– was probably unsuited by the shorter trip when only 7th over 1800m in a similar contest at La
Teste on 27 June. Could well make amends
4. GET SET – Rejuvenated veteran and last-start winner of the 21 July Quinté+ at La Teste over
2000m. Penalised 3kg for that success isn’t incapable of getting into the picture
5. NOIR – Lightly raced filly (6-start maiden) who has taken time to come to hand on French soil
but caught the eye when 3rd on her handicap/Quinte+ over 1800m at Chantilly on 14 July. Attractive
outsider
6. ROYAL RIGHT – Game frontrunner and hard-knocking, versatile handicapper with sound
references/form credentials on both surfaces, including a last-start 2000m victory at Vichy on 20
July. More of a place chance under his 1kg penalty
7. KHOCHENKO – Finished 4th in a 2000m Quinte+ at ParisLongchamp on 6 June but failed to
confirm that form/improvement when only 9th in a 1900m PSF claimer at this venue on 6 July. Will
appeal to lovers of outsiders
8. THUNDERSPEED – Confirmed the form/improvement of his previous outing (5th) at this level by
running on well to finish 3rd over 2000m in a Quinte+ at Lyon-Parilly on 24 June. Should have a
role to play
9. NEPALAIS – Didn’t go unnoticed when finishing an unlucky 8th in a Quinte+ at Chantilly over
1800m on 14 July – was unable to find/secure a clear passage until too late. Dark horse
10. SNUGGLES – Capable filly with sound Quinte+ references, including a win and 2 places in 4
appearances at this level. Could only finish 7th of 8 in a 2100m Listed race at Chantilly on 14 July
and is probably most effective on deep ground
11. CENTORINA – Finished 2nd and 5th in back-to-back Quinte+ outings at Parisongchamp earlier
this year but has been soundly beaten (unplaced) in consecutive recent starts in this grade – the
latest (12th) over 220m at Dieppe on 23 July
12. PINGO – Capable mare, seldom far off the mark with references in the Quinte+ category (albeit
without success in her 15 attempts). Absent since finishing 8th in a 2000m Quinte+ race at SaintCloud on 17 June – best watched for now
13. I’M A BELIEVER – Unplaced in all 4 handicap/Quinte+ appearances this year. Finished a
reassuring 2nd last time at Compiegne in a 2400m claimer on 22 July – will find this a lot tougher      14. CHIAREGGIO – Has regained momentum in the handicaps recently, confirming the
form/improvement of his 2000m Chantilly success in June by finishing a creditable 5th in a 1900m
Quinte+ on PSF at this venue on 28 July. Keep safe
15. BOBBYMURPHY – Honest, hard-knocking handicapper with sound references/form credentials
– ran on well to finish a creditable 6th in the Quinte+ of 14 July at Chantilly over 1800m. Runs for
Antonio Orani and is ideally drawn in stall No 5
16. FORCE TRANQUILLE – Winner of 3 handicaps this year, including her latest appearances at
Vichy over 2000m on 15 July. Has gone up 8,5kg in the weights/ratings as a result and faces a
tough task in her first start at this level from stall No 14

Summary: LORCAN (3) finished on the podium in consecutive Quinté+ appearances over this
distance at ParisLongchamp before finishing 7th over 1800m at La Teste last time. He will
appreciate reverting to this trip and will have little trouble finding the lead from gate No 1, so
represents an attractive betting proposition under these conditions. By finishing 2nd last time out,
MORPHEWAN (2) proved his form, well-being and competitiveness at this level of his current mark,
and he will fight for victory with a repeat that performance. Stablemate THUNDERSPEED (8) has
caught the eye in his last 2 starts (both at this level) by running on well to finish on the heels of the
leaders. He ought to make his presence felt, along with last-start winner EVERILLO (1) who should
remain competitive, despite a 1kg penalty. CHIAREGGIO (14) and BOBBYMURPHY (15) are
dangerous under light weights.

SELECTIONS
LORCAN (3) – MORPHEWAN (2) – THUNDERSPEED (8) – EVERILLO (1)

C5 – PRIX DE SAINT-LAURENT-SUR-MER – 1300m (a6f1/2) – ALL WEATHER – Claiming – Flat – EUR € 19,000

1. EMBRACE ADVERSITY – Proven PSF performer whose last 3 career victories have come on
this surface (2 in handicaps and 1 at this level). Well-beaten 12th in a 1400m turf handicap on 16
July but should fare better back in this grade
2. GOODEVENINGMRBOND – Unplaced in consecutive recent outings (both at this level) after a
3-month break, the latest over 1500m on this track on 30 July. Races with headgear fitted for the
first time and that could spark improvement – not taken lightly
3. CHARMILLE – Improving, lightly raced filly with sound/consistent form references on PSF – won
over 1700m at Pornichet last year and finished 4th in a 1500m claimer on this course when last
seen on 16 December. One to keep an eye on
4. ROOFTOP – Lightly raced 3-start maiden with sound references/form credentials, including a
respectable last-start 4th in 1200m Class 1 at Toulouse on 11 March. Looks the one to be with on
his reappearance given this significant drop in class
5. STAR FROM THE EAST – Boasts a win and a 3rd in 2 course-and-distance appearances.
Shouldn’t be hastily condemned for a disappointing (11th) last start in a 1600m turf handicap at
Vichy on 19 July
6. GUERRIER MYSTERE – Yet to find the frame in 5 starts (on turf) – the latest (9th) over 1200m
at Le Lion-d’Angers on 2 July – but has shown to suggest that he could have more to offer/be more
competitive at this level. Unknown quantity on this surface
7. WIKENDA – Unplaced (10th) in a 1400m claimer on turf at Compiegne on 6 July but won her
previous start over the same course and distance on 24 May. Can get into the picture
8. READY KING – Inconsistent but has achieved his best references (both career wins) on this
course – including at this level over track and trip. Unplaced (13th) over 1500m in a claimer on this
course last time out (30 July)
9. CHUNKA WAKAN – Inconsistent and lacks references (only one PSF appearance) on this
surface. Finished 9th in a 1400m Clairefontaine handicap on 27 July – best watched for now
10. BAILEYS BACHELOR – Unplaced in his 2 appearances, both at this level – the latest (7th) over
1400m at Dieppe on 5 August. Hard to make a case for
11. CARELESS – Finished 6th in both starts over 1600m at Dusseldorf (Germany) in May but has
made no impression in either outing on French soil – the latest (12th) over 2000m on turf at
Strasbourg on 13 June. Others preferred
12. TREIZIEME – Finished 9th in a 1400m turf claimer at Compiegne on 12 July but achieved her
best references (both career wins) in handicaps on this surface. Dark horse
13. DAMBULLA – Unplaced (7th) on her return from a 3-month absence over 1100m at Dieppe on
14 June but showed enough in both previous outings on this surface to suggest she could have a
say in a race of this nature – dangerous to discount                                                                        14. MISS WOO WOO – Consistent, proven at this level and in good form/physical condition –
confirmed as much by finishing 4th in a 1500m claimer on this course on 30 July. Should have a
role to play

Summary: ROOFTOP (4) beat only one rival when 4th over 1200m at Toulouse in March but that
was in a considerably stronger race (Class 1) and he ought to take advantage of this drop in class,
so is good value to make a winning reappearance. STAR FROM THE EAST (5) boasts a good
course-and-distance record and shouldn’t be underestimated, despite her recent failure in a turf
handicap. GOODEVENINGMRBOND (2), with headgear fitted for the first time, consistent MISS
WOO WOO (14) and top-weight EMBRACE ADVERSITY (1) are proven performers at this level
with the means to make their presence felt too.

of July 2024. More needed here
9. BEAUTIFUL MEMORY – Finished 5th over 2600m at Marseille Borely in a Class 3 handicap on
the 31st of May 2024. Erratic type
10. ILUMINE PRECIEUSE – Weak performance when finishing 12th over 2400m at Compiegne in
a Class 2 divided handicap on the 9th of July 2024. Unlikely to threaten

12. CLAIR DE LUNE – No show in 16th spot over 2200m at Dieppe in a Class 2 divided handicap
on the 23rd of July 2024. Third up for the year so could improve

Summary: ROSETTA STONE (3) arrives in attractive form and will be looking to add another win
to his tally this year. HOLLYWOOD AFRICANS (2) eases in grade which is an advantage and with
Maxime Guyon engaged to ride, he should play a leading role. JAGUARE PRECIEUSE (4) hasn’t
been firing on all cylinders off recent but has the ability to feature. BLACK HAWK (1) gets the
services of Mikael Barzalona and drops in company which should see him providing a stern
challenge.

Summary: LOU MAN (2) just found one too good last time out and looks to ready to win again. He
rates the one to beat in a competitive looking event. SHAWBAK (15) produced a poor effort last
time out and can be forgiven for that, he will play a leading role on his previous form. GIVE ME
GOLD (3) drops in class and gets the services of a claiming apprentice which could help her bounce
back to best. HAVANA SIX (12) hasn’t been the most reliable sort of late but is capable and could
be a factor at the finish.

class for this assignment which should see her run a huge race. GOLD PLAYER (3) returned to
winning ways with a pleasing performance and can back it up here. ALERIO (6) is seldom far off

on the 25th of July 2024. Place chance
14. PRINCE LOS – Finished 9th over 1600m at Vichy in a Class 4 divided handicap on the 20th of
July 2024. Each way claims on penultimate run
15. VOLCAN – Well held in 8th position over 2000m at Compiegne in a Class 3 limited handicap
on the 31st of May 2024. Unlikely to threaten here
16. LOVELY DOLLY – No show in 14th over 2400m at Lyon Parilly in a Class 4 divided limited

Summary: SPORT COUPE (1) returned to winning ways with a fine display and now with his
confidence restored, he could go back to back. PEARL HARBOUR (4) ran an indifferent race last
time out and has a chance to show her best form in this event. PRINCE LOS (14) gets weight off
the back and looks to be a serious threat if ignoring his latest start. KICK BOXING (5) has showed
signs of coming back to his best at recent outings and could challenge.
