Watch out for ICE CAP who makes her local debut. She has run well on the Highveld and could make a winning local debut.

He is knocking hard at the door and could get the timing right. CORAL CREEK made a promising debut and if this race doesn’t come too soon he could have a say. HOME REEF raced in strong company on debut in the Western Cape and could show more. BRYDEN BAY and GOLDEN GALLANT have also raced there and need to be watched.

Race Summary: TORIX NIGHT ran a fair race on the poly in his last start in KwaZulu-Natal. He also posted a decent run on the turf on local debut and can open his account. MAYOR OF MERRIVALE keeps on running fair races without winning. He tries further but could prevail if the race is run to suit. TAKE A MULLIGAN was a bit disappointing in his penultimate but would have sharpened up in his last start and looks a threat. AGAMEMNON and FEARLESS BADGER have shown enough to warrant consideration.

BEAU KALA was returning from a break when beaten a neck by the former and could turn it around stripping fitter. She is also 1,5kg better off at the weights. RAISING QUINN could make it tough for both. She found form last time and is dropping in class. But she has a wide draw to overcome. QUERANDI gave cheek in her last start and could improve from that. HANGING ROCK is another with improvement to come. More can earn.

GODFATHER has promised another win in recent starts but coughed last time out. If back to his best he could take advantage from draw No 2. CAPTAINS WALK won a nice race last time and with his confidence upped could repeat. GREAT TIMES wasn’t far off CAPTAINS WALK and rates a chance but MEETTATHEWINDSOR is weighted to get closer. HEKNOWS is much better than his last run. ADIOS AMIGOS needs to find his very best form.

NOTORIX was backed and did what was required to win his last start over the course and distance. He looks a runner again. AADEHYA has pmore to come. He fought on nicely in his last start and if in the same mood after a rest could be in the fray. TUSCAN GOLD didn’t behave in his last race and wasn’t too far back against much stronger. He could show up strongly. VEGAS GOLD and ANUSCHKA’S WORLD are better than their recent efforts. ARTICUNO brings fair Highveld form.

EUROPEAN SUMMER could give her a tough time at the weights but will need to get going sooner back over 1000m. CABARET could be the one to watch over this distance. She is bred for it and did win easily the only time she raced on this surface. HILDELITA looks to have more wins to come off her current rating. She can follow up on a convincing last win. KABON KAPI could pop up over this distance. More can earn.

CHARLIE MALONE got his confidence boosted last week and could follow up. CRUZADOR has much in his favour and could finally get back to winning ways. COASTAL PATH is capable of better but has had some tough luck of late.
