Summary: A promising second on debut last year and a very good finisher on her return to action
at Lonchamp mid-April, WINDBURN (12) has the right credentials to win a race of this nature.
ZAUBA (16) is a well-related filly as is MINNATA (14) and both these fillies are worth some
serious consideration. ZORA (7) was narrowly headed in a newcomer’s race at Saint-Cloud last
month and with the natural improvement should make her presence felt.

SELECTIONS
WINDBURN (12) – ZAUBA (16) – MINNATA (14) – ZORA (7)

R5 – PRIX DE SAINT-SAUVEUR – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Class 4 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 16,000

appearances, the latest (3rd) over 1800m in a handicap at Fontainebleau

this year – the latest (10th) in a 1950m handicap at Le Mans on 15 May. Best watched for now
4. GARDOL MOON – Has been off the boil for some time now but has dropped considerably in
the weights/ratings as a result. Could resurface off a career-low mark after finishing 12th in a
1600m handicap at Chantilly on 4 April
5. GRISBI – Unreliable veteran who isn’t entirely incapable of getting into the picture if building on
an improved last start (6th) in a Chantilly handicap over 1600m on 29 April. More needed
6. TICKLISH – Versatile veteran mare with sound references/form credentials in recent PSF

1600m in her last turf appearance on 15 April
7. ALPENGEIST – Returned to form with an eye-catching 2nd in a 1600m PSF handicap at

reappearance last month and confirmed her form and well-being with an improved 2nd in a
1600m handicap at Vichy on 15 May. Winning chance

6th in a 1600m handicap on 27 April at Lyon-Parilly. Eased another 0,5kg
10. KAVAKNEY – Boasts a good record at this venue, including an encouraging 3rd over 1400m
on his reappearance in March. Capable of doing better back at this track after a disappointing
16th in a 1600m Chantilly handicap on 4 April

recently, including a last-start 5th over 1600m in a handicap at Chantilly on 29 April. Keep safe

comeback outings this year – the latest (11th) in a 1600m handicap at Chantilly on 15 April.
Others preferred

previous outing (3rd) when only 9th in a 1600m PSF handicap at Chantilly on 29 April. Will
appreciate the return to turf
14. EXCLUSIVE BEAUTY – Out-of-sorts veteran mare. Wasn’t beaten a long way in either
handicap appearance last month, though needs to find improvement to make her presence felt
here after finishing 7th over 1800m at Evreux on 24 April

Summary: MEARAS STYLE (8) made an encouraging return from a lengthy absence last month
and confirmed her form and well-being with a good 2nd at Vichy recently, so is worth siding with
off her current mark. TICKLISH (6), however, is hungry for success and wouldn’t be winning out
of turn either, having finished in the first four in each of her last three starts. Supplemented
GRACE OF CLIFFS (1), following an encouraging display at Fontainebleau, and three-time
course winner KAVAKNEY (10) appeal most of the remainder.

SELECTIONS
MEARAS STYLE (8) – TICKLISH (6) – GRACE OF CLIFFS (1) – KAVAKNEY (10)

Will play a leading role here on that form/evidence

a 3kg penalty but should have a role to play
3. RAMREE – Wasn’t beaten a long way on her reappearance over 1400m at Saint-Cloud on 5
April. Could improve pitched into a handicap
4. CELTIC ARYAAN – Remains a maiden but has solid/consistent form references at this level.
Wouldn’t be winning out of turn after a finishing close-up 3rd in a 1600m handicap at Saint-Cloud
on 1 May
5. CITY OF HOPE – Consistent performer with sound references/form credentials, including a
last-start 2nd in a 1400m handicap at Saint-Cloud on 12 May

outings earlier this year but failed on her handicap debut (13th) over 1950m at Châteaubriant on
27 April – watch for now
13. NO TIME – Has regained momentum recently and confirmed as much by finishing 5th in a
2000m handicap at Strasbourg on 8 May. Outside chance
14. MALLORCA SUN – Showed signs of improvement dropped in the weights/ratings earlier this
year but has looked out of sorts in 2 recent appearances – the latest 10th in a 1400m handicap at
ParisLongchamp on 12 May (eased another 0,5kg)
15. WEEKEND WARRIOR – Unreliable colt capable of getting into the picture judged on his best
references. Finished 6th over 1600m in a handicap at Saint-Cloud on 1 May

Summary: Consistent CELTIC ARYAAN (4) continues to improve and seems close to success –
against this opposition, could belatedly open his here. CARRY BAY (1) is, however, closely
matched with the selection so ought to fight for victory. CITY OF HOPE (5), runner-up in 3 of his
last 4 starts, is likely to pose a threat too. Last-start winner SANKA CHOP (2) carries a penalty
but should remain competitive. JIEPIES MELODY (10) and CAREGIVER (6) are candidates for
the minor places.

SELECTIONS
CELTIC ARYAAN (4) – CARRY BAY (1) – CITY OF HOPE (5) – SANKA CHOP (2)

in all 3 subsequent appearances, the latest (14th) over 1900m at Chantilly on 11 May
2. HURRICANE LIGHT – Disappointed (10th) recently at Vichy over 1600m on 15 May but could
redeem himself with Maxime Guyon in the irons
3. THE FIRST LADY – Most effective on PSF but isn’t incapable of getting into the picture in a
race of this nature. Didn’t go unnoticed when 6th over 1900m on PSF at Chantilly on 11 May
4. LE KAKOU – Won over 1400m at this venue two starts back and confirmed his competitive
under a penalty by finishing 6th in a 1600m handicap at Chantilly on 15 April

Fontainebleau on 3 May. Not taken lightly

Waregem on 1 May. More to do

to the turf after finishing 14th in a PSF handicap over 1900m at Chantilly on 26 April
14. MOASA – Unplaced in all 3 starts this year and unlikely to trouble the judge after finishing 7th
in a 1600m handicap at ParisLongchamp on 9 May

Summary: JOYCE GALESTE (9) confirmed the improvement of her previous outing with another
competitive showing last time and could be worth siding with on her return to this venue, having
won on her last visit to this racecourse. HYPNOTIZED (11) was only narrowly beaten at Le Lion
d’Angers last time, her second 2nd in four starts, so is another candidate for success. CASLANA
(5), HURRICANE LIGHT (2) and LE KAKOU (4) are also capable of making their presence felt.
