9. WARELIA – Placed 2nd over 2200m in a claiming race last time at Fontainebleau and could go
one more. Strong chance
Summary: GOLDINO BELLO (3) has won his last two in impressive fashion and is confidently
selected to reel off the hat trick. His last victory came at Divonne over 1700m. LET THERE BE
ROCK (2) was last seen in a competitive Handicap when 7th. He does have solid overall form
and will be very competitive. Strong each way claims. SEE THE LIGHT (6) is getting closer with
each and every run. He has strong claims and is a must for all bets. AMRITA (7) can do better
and is worth including the quartet.

4. LAVENDIN – Attractive 3rd over 2400m at Salon Provence on the 3rd of April and can threaten

5. A BEAUREGARD – Ignore last run when 7th, finished 2nd on debut at Lyon La Soie and can
be competitive based on that. Quartet inclusion
6. BUBBLE MANSUR – Will need to build a plenty on debut 8th over 2300m at Le Mans. Happy

7. LAZULITE – Only managed 6th over 1700m at Divonne last time out and needs to improve a
lot to threaten. Unlikely
8. TECHNO BEAT – A huge debut when 2nd over 2200m at this venue on the 17th of April and
should take a power of beating. Banker win
Summary: TECHNO BEAT (8) finished an eye catching second on debut at this very course and
with natural improvement, should be very hard to oppose. SHOLTO (1) improved drastically at
the second time of asking and should not be a maiden for too much longer. Strong each way
chance. LAVENDIN (4) improved when third last time and again has a strong place chance. A
BEAUREGARD (5) can be forgiven for his last run and included in the quartet.

that and can be very competitive. Good each way chance
2. MATGIWELL – Hard to assess, won penultimate and then finished downfield thereafter. Happy
to ignore from all bets
3. SAINT LANGIS – Is in hot form, finished 2nd over 3000m in a Handicap at Fontainebleau on
the 13th of April and could be hard to beat. Win
4. POET’S BLACK – Hard to fancy on current form especially most recent 12th at Lyon Parilly
over 2400m. Unlikely
5. PASIPHAE – Holding form, won penultimate, placed 2nd at Lyon La Soie thereafter and must
be taken seriously. Big runner
6. FEEDESREVES – Good effort last time when 4th over 3200m at Lyon La Soie on the 6th of last
month. A must for the quartet
7. MOODY CHOP – Finished 3rd over 2600m in a weak race on the 1st of May at Chatillon and
can be given a very small, outside place chance
Summary: SAINT LANGIS (3) brings consistent form into the race and did finish a neat 2nd at
Fontainebleau over 3000m last time. He was a winner at his penultimate start and is confidently
selected to win. ZLARA (1) is a tad erratic but on best form can place. PASIPHAE (5) is running
well and in competitive handicaps. She is one for the shortlist and can finish in the first three.
FEEDESREVES (6) can be included in most bets, especially the quartet.

1. EDOARDO – Revealed sufficient means in his three outings before a disappointing 7th over
2000m on heavy ground at Salon-de-Provence on 3 April to not be hastily condemned for that
performance. Keep safe
2. AL DAAYEN – Won once and finished 3rd twice in three outings on the PSF, though could only
7th in his first start on the turf over 1800m at Chantilly on 15 April. Open to improvement
3. COL DU PRE’ – Improving sort with the form and experience to play a leading role, having won
once and finished 2nd in another three of his four starts this year – including his latest over 2600m
at Fontainebleau on 13 April
4. BONNY WAY – Won on heavy ground over 2150m at Cagnes in February and didn’t go
unnoticed when finishing 5th over 2100m at Saint-Cloud on 12 April. Attractive outsider
5. GATTOPARDO – Runner-up in consecutive starts on the PSF and probably didn’t enjoy the
heavy ground in his first outing on turf at that venue, finishing 5th over 2000m on 30 March.

6. KASPIA TRIP – Winner on the PSF at Pau in February but unplaced in both outings on the turf
and was soundly beaten in a 1900m PSF Quinte+ at Deauville on 28 March. Best watched for
now
7. PRIVATE DINNING – Finished 4th twice and 3rd once in three PSF outings before a
disappointing 8th on heavy ground in her first turf appearance over 2000m at Saint-Cloud on 12
April. Look for improvement
8. MISSION ALPHA – Consistent filly with sound references/form credentials, including a laststart 2nd on her reappearance at Toulouse over 2100m on 8 April. Will be a factor
Summary: GATTOPARDO (5) finished 2nd in consecutive outings on the PSF at Chantilly but
probably wasn’t suited to the heavy ground at that course when only 5th over this distance last
time. On the evidence of his previous performances, and with Christophe Soumillon engaged, he
ought to make amends by opening his account. He will, however, have to thwart MISSION
ALPHA (8), after an eye-catching 2nd on her reappearance at Toulouse, and COL DU PRE’ (3),
who has the form and experience to pose a threat.

3. SOFT WINDS – Won last time over 1950m in a maiden race on April 27th. Has to improve to
win but can place
4. SWEET SUNDOWNER – Fair 2nd last time over 1950m at Chateaubriant on April 27th in a
Class 2 race. In the mix
5. MAY IT BE – Nice 2nd in a Class 2 race last time over 2000m at this track on April 7th. Can
keep progressing and play a lead role
6. CREEKATTEMPS – Three unplaced runs so far, the latter over 2400m at Nantes on April 18th.
Looks hard to recommend
Summary: LUIZA BERE (1) ran well when third in a Class 1 race in mid-April having been off the
track since November when third in a Listed race. She can be sharper for her recent run and
looks like the best option in this race. MAY IT BE (5) is lightly raced and has a good deal more to
come. She looks like the main threat. SWEET SUNDOWNER (4) is also one to keep safe after a
credible run in a Class 2 race last time when second.

handicap at Châteaubriant over 1950m. Capable of making the frame
2. JOLI COUP – Has struggled this year and was tenth last time out in a handicap at Strasbourg
over 2000m on 22 April. Others are much preferred
3. GOLD AND CASH – Did not show his best when 12th in a handicap at Deauville over 1900m
on 9 April. Likely to do a lot better back on the grass this time
4. HOLLY COLOUR – Has been kept to the PSF for some time now and was 5th last time out in a
handicap at Chantilly over 1900m on 26 April. Place chance on best form
5. LADY LOU – Disappointing form this year and was 6th last time out in a handicap at Deauville
over 2500m on 26 January. Could surprise back on the turf
6. KARIOITAHI – Disappointing of late and was 7th last time out in a handicap at Chantilly over
1900m on 26 April. More is needed to win
7. REMIX – In good form of late and was third last time out in a handicap at Toulouse over 2400m
on 20 March. Not out of it
8. AGAMEMNON – Unreliable but was victorious in a handicap last time out at Toulouse over
2000m on 8 April. Carries a penalty but has a place chance
9. BLACK MORNING – Very unreliable and was well beaten last time out in a handicap at

13. NOTRE HISTOIRE – Returned from a break in good form and was third last time out in a
handicap at Toulouse over 2000m on 8 April. Go close
14. COMTESSE VERA – Unreliable and was 9th last time out in a handicap at Bordeaux-Le
Bousca over 1900m on 22 April. Capable of an upset on best form
15. SIXTINE BAAL – Showed good improvement when trying the grass and runner-up in a
Conditions race at Moulins over 2400m on 14 April. Can go one better back in a handicap
16. CULTURE – Much improved of late and was a winner of a handicap last time out at Toulouse
over 2000m on 8 April. Tougher task this time but has a place chance
Summary: SIXTINE BAAL (15) looked the winner for much of the way at Moulins last time but
was dominated in the finish by Pleasman. He only needs to repeat that performance to win a race
of this nature. NOTRE HISTOIRE (13) made an encouraging reappearance last time and is also a
candidate for success judged on that display. GOLD AND CASH (3) ought to acquit himself
competitively in this company, along with REMIX (7) who is in good form and physical condition.

1. TOKYO DREAMER – Consistent performer on both the turf and PSF in England last year and
hasn’t gone unnoticed in her two starts (both at Chantilly) on French soil, finishing 5th on PSF
and 3rd on turf over 1600m on 29 April
2. LA MANDALA – Impressive wide-margin winner on debut over this trip at Saint-Cloud in March
before finishing 7th in an 1800m Group III on very heavy ground at this venue on 7 April. Keep
safe
3. ABSTRACT – Debut winner over 1500m on PSF at Deauville and wasn’t disgraced when
finishing 6th in a Group III over 1400m on heavy ground at that venue on her reappearance (9
April). Should have more to offer
4. WHILAND – Won consecutive outings last month, a 1400m Class 3 conditions race at Moulins
and a 1600m claimer at Fontainebleau last time out (30 April). More needed to be competitive in
this race/company
5. OBSESS – Has made encouraging improvement in two starts (both over 1300m on PSF) this
year. Finished 2nd at Deauville in January and confirmed that progress by winning at Chantilly on
14 March – not taken lightly
6. SOLINAH – Wertheimer-owned Siyouni filly scored on debut over 1600m at Saint-Cloud on 19
April. Would’ve gained plenty from that experience, so shouldn’t be underestimated
7. THE FIRST DANCE – Debut winner on this course over 1800m last year (15 October) and
confirmed that promise with a 2nd on PSF at Chantilly in November. Well-beaten 10th in an
1800m Group III here on her reappearance (7 April)
Summary: ABSTRACT (3) beat a field that included recent Group III runner-up Almara when
winning on debut last year, so shouldn’t be judged solely on her reappearance (6th on very heavy
ground in a 1400m Group III at Deauville last month). This step up to a mile should unlock
improvement and it could pay to follow her progress. LA MANDALA (2) fits a similar profile after
finishing unplaced (7th) at Group III level after an impressive winning debut over this trip and, as
such, could pose a threat. Last-start winner OBSESS (5) and exciting first-start scorer SOLINAH
(6), one of 4 debut winners in the race, aren’t underestimated.

Summary: WILD PANSY (5) was a good second in a Group 3 race in Italy last time and can take
this prize for her owners Godolphin. AMNERIS (6) was a pleasing second in a Listed race at
Deauville in December and could well be the main threat to the selection. PIENSA EN MI (9) is
one to keep safe and is improving with experience, she deserves to try and win a Pattern race.

6. ASPHODELE MIA – Veteran handicapper who won an 1800m handicap at Compiègne in
October off a 1,5kg higher mark. Lost her way since, unplaced in 4 starts – the latest (16th) in a
1900m PSF handicap at Chantilly on 26 April
7. CHARLES LEGEND – Ultra-consistent veteran handicapper whose form and competitiveness
at this level is beyond doubt. Runner-up in a 2800m handicap on this course recently (18 April)
8. LORD SPIRIT – Veteran handicapper whose 2200m handicap victory at Amiens in June last
year was off of a mark 2,5kg higher than his current rating. Best watched after his 7th in a 2000m
handicap at Compiegne on 16 April
9. LISAYANE – Has regained momentum with three comeback outings this year. Finished 3rd in
her latest start in a 1900m handicap at La Teste on 25 April
10. SIBUYU – Inconsistent handicapper whose better recent displays have been achieved in
conditions races at a lower level, the latest over 1600m at Cavaillon on 4 May. Outsider
11. TENDER WINNER – Returned to form with an improved/encouraging last-start 2nd in a
2600m handicap at Marseille-Borely on 3 May. Marie Waldhauser’s 1,5kg allowance will aid his

12. MA BEREZINA – Confirmed the improvement of her previous outing (5th) off this mark with a
reassuring 3rd in an 1800m handicap at Evreux on 24 April. Dark horse
13. LADY VALOU – Hard-knocking handicapper who rarely wins (just 1 victory from 46 outings)
but has sound references and form credentials in this category, including an unlucky 5th over

Summary: Veteran CHARLES LEGEND (7) is enjoying a good spell and will again be ridden by
Maxime Guyon, so constitutes a solid base. Older rival SAVILE ROW (1) caught the eye with a
reassuring 5th last time and, along with consistent LADY VALOU (13), ought to give cheek to the
selection. LISAYANE (9), with the aid of Anaëlle Mekouche’s allowance, hard-knocker ASLAN

both subsequent starts with blinkers fitted – the latest over 1200m at Nimes on 24 March.

10. EN PLEIN AIR – Ultra-consistent colt with the form and experience to play a leading role,

12. MARQUISE VERA – Has yet to find the frame in eight outings, including both handicap

Summary: THOMAS SHELBY (2) has been out of sorts lately but is better than his current form
suggests and represents a stable in good form, so is worth siding with in a race of this nature off
his current mark. ANTICO (1) is unexposed and ought to pose a threat if improving in his first
outing on turf. DURYTHME (5), having finished 2nd in each of three starts, and IGNOL (8), who
finished 5th over track and trip last time, have the means to make their presence felt too. TANIS
(9) and EN PLEIN AIR (10) complete the shortlist.

8. VERDANSK – Consistent performer on both turf and PSF for two years/seasons in England
and made a winning start on French soil when scoring on his reappearance over 1400m at SaintCloud on 5 April. Dark horse
9. GAMESTOP – One of 2 Wertheimer-owned runners in the race. This consistent Lope De Vega
colt returns to French soil after finishing 4th in a 1600m Group III at Düsseldorf on 14 April
10. ZOOM – Talented individual who revealed considerable means as a two-year-old before
confirming that promise throughout his three-year-old season. Off since his 3rd over 1300m on
PSF at Deauville on 28 December
11. SUVIANA – Consistent filly with sound references/form credentials, including a last-start 6th of
15 runners in a 1400m handicap on her reappearance at Newmarket on 18 April. One to note

Saint-Cloud in November). Makes his handicap debut off a high mark having finished 3rd over
1400m at Deauville on 10 April – lurker
3. TIFFANYLI – Smart, consistent filly deemed worthy of participating in the Group II Prix du
Calvados as a two-year-old. Has finished 5th in both comeback outings this year, the latest over
1800m at Marseille-Borely on 24 April
4. EGIATEGIA – Consistent, lightly raced filly with sound references although could only finish
10th in the references race over track and trip on 18 April despite a favorable trip. Best watched
for now
5. SERQUIGNY – Consistent Shalaa colt, winner over 1600m at Saint-Cloud two starts back.
Subsequently finished 4th in a competitive Class 2 conditions race over 1600m at Lyon-Parilly on
17 April – for another day
6. KOSLOVKA – Last-start winner of the reference race over track and trip on 18 April. Should
remain competitive under her 3,5kg penalty but a wide No 15 stall does her chances no favours
7. ALI – Stablemate of last-start winner KOSLOVKA (6). Ran on well to finish 5th in the
benchmark race over course and distance on 18 April, so has legitimate claims
8. GREY FIGHTER – This colt trained in Germany made an encouraging reappearance at Le
Mans, finishing 3rd over 1600m in a good field on 23 April. Has a place chance on handicap
debut
9. SPEZIAL – Last-start winner of the Prix de Sainte-Gemme over course and distance on 18
April. Carries a 3kg penalty but has scope for further improvement
10. LES REYS – Showed promise as a two-year-old but has flattered to deceive this season –
unplaced in both outings, the latest over 1400m at Bordeaux in a conditions race on 22 April.
Dark horse
11. CONCERTATION – Promising as a two-year-old, albeit without success, but has disappointed
this season. Finished 6th over 1000m at Moulins on 14 April – best watched for now on her
handicap debut
12. MANGAKEN – Finished last of 5 in a 1200m Class 1 at Toulouse on 11 March but proved
himself tenacious when finishing a creditable 4th on handicap debut over 1100m at Salon-deProvence on 3 April. For another day
13. ZEPLACETOBE – Held up for a long time before producing a good late effort, despite
finishing unplaced (9th) over track and trip on 18 April. Competitive off this mark and well
positioned in the stalls, she should play a leading role
14. ROSE ACADEMY – Consistent and game frontrunner who acquitted herself well in a 1400m
Deauville Class 2 conditions race on 10 April. Attractive outsider on her handicap debut 15. THE CAT’S – Non Partant
16. KINGSWOOD FLYER – Made an encouraging start to his career in England under William
Haggas but has finished 7th in all three outings on French soil, the latest over 1600m on yielding
ground at Chantilly on 29 April. Watch for now
Summary: MCTENETT (1) performed well enough on his handicap debut in this category over
the same course and distance, finishing an encouraging 7th despite an unfavourable trip. So, it
could pay to take a chance on him opening his account on French soil in this Quinte+ event.
ZEPLACETOBE (13) and ALI (7) also acquitted themselves well in the same race so, logically,
should attract support too. KOSLOVKA (6), who beat the three aforementioned rivals last time,
ought to remain competitive under a penalty. SPEZIAL (9), GRAY FIGHTER (8) and ROSE
ACADEMY (14) appeal most of the remainder.
