3. HAYEJOHN – Holding his form well and was fourth last time out in a handicap at MarseilleVovaix over 1500m on 12 April. Just as good this distance and could earn some money
4. VICTORY SALUTE – Disappointing first run in a handicap when well beaten at ParisLongchamp
over 1400m on 7 April. Capable of better and can upset
5. DENVER CHOP – Distance suited and was fourth last time out in a handicap over this course
and strip on 15 April. Has a place chance

7. FORCHESTER – Unreliable and was disappointing last time out when 7th in a handicap over
this track and trip on 15 April. can bounce back to score if at best
8. DROGO – Has won a couple of times over this course and distance but has struggled in his last
two starts finishing 8th last time out in a handicap on 15 April. Capable of better but others are
preferred
9. INSTRUIT – Clearly likes La Teste-de-Buch and was third last time out in a handicap there over

13. PRADARO – Returned to form with a nice runner-up performance in a handicap at La Testede-Buch over 1100m on 25 April. Can contest the finish

15. AVRILOMANOIR – Very unreliable but was victorious last time out in a handicap over this track
and trip on 15 April. Carries a 2,50kg penalty for that win but is not out of it 16. EUREKA – Well beaten in her only start of the year in a handicap at Pau over 1600m on 14
February. Needs major improvement to win
Summary: A very competitive start to the card. FORCHESTER (7) is better than the last run would
suggest and can bounce back to score with Blinkers on. WHISTLE AND FLUTE (10) was not
beaten by far over this track and trip last time out and can go one better this time. PUREST TIME
(2) could be returning to best form and was not disgraced last time out. WILD WEST (1) was a
good winner last time out but carries a 4kg penalty this time.

at this course over 1800m on 15 April. First time in a handicap and this surface but is capable of
winning
2. PRINCE A RIO – Very consistent and was victorious last time out in a handicap over this course
and distance on 28 March, Carries 3kgs for that win and deserves the utmost respect
3. INDIE BRIGHT – Probably in need of her only run of the year when 5th in a Conditions race at
Lyon-Parilly over 1600m on 17 April. Tougher task on handicap debut
4. BLUSH – A bit of a disappointment when 6th in a GR. 3. at ParisLongchamp over 1800m on 7
April. Has won over this course and distance so should fight out the finish
5. PURPLE MOOD – Unbeaten in two handicaps and was not disgraced when 5th last time out in
a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2400m on 1 April. Can bounce back and be a threat
6. THOR LIGHTNING – Improving and is coming off two handicap wins, with the latest being at
Lyon-Parilly over 1600m on 20 April. Carries a 3,5kg penalty but is capable of making the frame
7. TASHANKA – Not disgraced when third last time out at Salon-de-Provence over 2000m on 3
April. More is needed to beat these rivals
8. GOWAY – Disappointing last run when well beaten in a handicap at this course over 2000m on
20 April. Likes this surface and has a place chance
9. TREFLE VOLANT – Disappointing last run when 6th in a Conditions race at La Teste-de-Buch
over 1800m on 16 April. Others are preferred on handicap debut
Summary: An interesting race. ROSE JAIPUR (1) tries this surface and handicap company for the
first time but did look good last time out. BLUSH (4) flopped in Group company last time out but
has won over this course and distance and should be a real threat. PRINCE A RIO (2) and PURPLE
MOOD (5) are both in very good form and it would not be a surprise if either of them were to win
again.

could also be a lively danger, and CIARAN (3) will have Maxime Guyon in the irons.
