R1 – PRIX DU PAVILLON DES GARDES – 2800m (a2m) – TURF – Class 3 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20,000

1. GOLD PALACE – Unplaced last time, nice 3rd before that over 2400m at Compiegne on March 10th in a Class 3 race. Live chance.
2. MAESTRO CHOP – Fair 5th last time at Lyon La Soie over 2400m in a Class 4 handicap on March 15th. Among the leading chances each way.
3. THAT’S MY POWER – Three unplaced runs this year and has dropped to a decent handicap rating. The latest outing was when 7th over 2000m at Compiegne on April 16th. Place chance.
4. TARCENAY – Unplaced last time, won before that over 2800m at Compiegne on March 29th in a Class 3 handicap. Makes limited appeal.
5. FRENCH DIVA – Has been fairing well without scoring of late, a good 5th two starts ago at Saint-Cloud over 2400m in a Class 3 handicap was encouraging. Player.
6. ARMORIGENE – Fair 2nd at Nantes last time in a Class 4 handicap on April 18th over 2400m. In the mix.
7. WELL DE VINDECY – 2nd last time at Saint-Cloud in a Class 3 race on April 5th over 2400m. Outside place chance.
8. CASHFORPASSOVER – Has six unplaced runs since a win at Chantilly in February 2023 over 2700m in a Class 3 handicap. Not one to recommend.
9. LE HOULME – Four unplaced runs of late, 4th before that at Amiens in a Class 4 handicap on November 13th. Looks vulnerable.
10. GRISGRISES – 5th last time at Tarbes over 2300m in a Class 4 handicap on April 13th. Out of form and best avoided.
11. WHEN I DREAM – Has several unplaced efforts of late, the latter over 3000m at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 handicap. Unlikely to feature.
12. ALMAZORA – Won last time over 3000m at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 handicap on April 13th. Hard to ignore.
13. FLIGHT DE JUILLEY – Has five unplaced runs since a 2nd placed effort in a Class 4 handicap on February 9th over 2100m. Opposable.
14. CHARLES LEGEND – Won last time over 2400m in a Class 3 handicap at Saint-Cloud on April 5th. Hard to dismiss.
15. LEANDER – 2nd last time at Fontainebleau over 3000m in a Class 3 handicap on April 13th. Others seem better equipped.
16. TENDER WINNER – 3rd two starts ago over 2800m in a Class 3 handicap at Compiegne on March 29th. Needs to be more reliable.
17. TREIZE CHOPE – Two unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 2400m at Saint-Cloud in a Class 3 handicap on April 5th. Unreliable.
18. BAILEYS SANS DOUTE – 2nd three runs back over 2700m at Chantilly on February 16th in a Class 3 handicap. Others more likely.

Summary: FRENCH DIVA (5) has been running well of late and did run a pleasing race at SaintCloud two starts ago when a close-up fifth. She is the tentative selection ahead of the top-weight, GOLD PALACE(1) who was a good third at Compiegne two outings ago in a Class 3 event. ALMAZORA (12) is one for the each-way backers to take seriously. THAT’S MY POWER (3) is also one to respect and can make the frame.

R2 – PRIX DE BARBEVILLE – 3000m (a2m) – TURF – Gr3 Race – Flat – EUR€ 80,000

1. DOUBLE MAJOR – Good win of the Prix Ryal Oak (Gr.1) when last seen on October 29th by 7.5L. Sets the standard.
2. SUNFAST – Unplaced last time, won before that over 2500m in a Class 2 handicap on February 21st. Might find this difficult.
3. SKAZINO – 4th last time over 3000m in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud on April 1st. Has work to do.
4. GALEGO STAR – 2nd last time over 3000m at Saint-Cloud in a Listed race on April 1st. Outside place chance.
5. PALUS ARGENTEUS – 3rd last time over 3000m at Saint-Cloud on April 1st in a Listed race. Looks out of his depth.
6. SOBER – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that at Chantilly in a Class 1 race over 2700m on March 8th. Ought to be on the premises.
7. SEVENNA’S KNIGHT – Unplaced last time 4th before that in a Class 1 race at Chantilly on March 8th over 2700m. In the mix.
8. SHEMBALA – 3rd last time, won before that in a Listed race over 2800m at this track on September 7th. Will be fit enough on return to play a lead role.

Summary: DOUBLE MAJOR (1) was an easy winner of his final run of 2023 when taking the Prix Royal Oak (Gr.1) at this track in October. He will be fit for this return run and can score from SEVENNA’S KNIGHT (7) who has the potential to be a smart stayer despite a below-par run last time. SOBER (6) is also one to be considered if back to his best form. SHEMBALA (8) makes her debut of the season and can not be ruled out.

R3 – PRIX DE L’AVRE – 2400m (a1m1/2) – TURF – Listed Race – Flat – EUR €55,000

1. TALISE – Won over 2400m at Saint-Cloud last time in a maiden on March 26th. Steps up in class and others rate higher.
2. SHAHBAZI – Won on the sole start to date on March 31st at Hoppergarten (DEU) over 2200m. Up in class and lacks experience.
3. TRAFALGAR SQUARE – Fair 3rd at this track over 2100m in a Group 3 race last time on April 14th. Can not be overlooked.
4. ANSPRUCH – Won on debut at Koln (DEU) over 2100m on April 1st on the sole run so far. Can improve and warrants respect.
5. MISTER GATZ – Won the last two runs, the latter by 5L over 2400m in a Class 2 race at SaintCloud on April 1st. Player.
6. ROADSHOW – Nice 2nd at Saint-Cloud last time where he raced a little bit fresh over 2400m in a Class 2 race on April 1st. Promising type who can improve for the latest effort.
7. YOOX – Fair 4th last time over 1800m at Chantilly in a Listed race on March 8th. Ought to be thereabouts.
8. BELSIANA – Won a maiden last time over 2000m at Le Lion D’Angers on April 7th. Lightly raced but others preferred.

Summary: ROADSHOW (6) raced a tad keen on his latest outing when he was second at SaintCloud over 2400m at the start of April. With that run under his belt, he can strip fitter today and reverse the form with the horse that beat him that day in MISTER GATZ (5), who is improving and will not make things easy. TRAFALGAR SQUARE (3) is the each-way option after a solid third in a Group 3 race last time. YOOX (7) heads the remainder.

R4 – PRIX DE CHEVILLY – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Class 2 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 53,000

1. AMEDRAS – Won two runs ago over 1500m in a Class 2 handicap on February 26th. High in the weights and needs to drop a few kilo’s.
2. KENDLY – Decent 4th last time over 1400m in a Class 1 handicap at this track on April 7th. Can make an impact.
3. PEDRITO – Two unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 1400m at Deauville on January 19th in a Class 2 handicap. Consider each way.
4. APAX – Two unplaced runs recently, 3rd before that at Chantilly on October 12th in a Class 1 race over 1500m. Capable of making the frame.
5. IZASTEP – 5th last time, won before that in a Class 3 race on February 19th over 1500m. Outside place chance.
6. BAILEYS BLUES – Four unplaced runs of late, won before that over 1300m at Deauville on November 28th in a Class 2 race. Needs to get back to form.
7. TORPEN – Three unplaced runs of late, won before that over 1300m at Deauville on December 26th in a Class 2 handicap. Needs to get back on track.
8. ETATIQUE – Won last time over 1400m in a Class 1 handicap at this track on April 7th. One to pay attention too.
9. ROYAL SHAKE – 6th last time over 1800m at Chantilly on April 4th in a Class 3 race. Cannot be overlooked.
10. WHITE PLATIN – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that in a Class 2 handicap on March 25th over 1200m. Among the leading chances.
11. TUMBLER – Unplaced on the last two runs, 2nd before that over 1800m at Compiegne on March 10th in a Class 3 race. Needs more but has place claims.
12. TIMES BOULEVARD – 7th last time in a Class 2 race over 1400m at Chantilly on March 18th and 3rd in a Group 3 before that in September. Can be on the premises.
13. GALIK – Unplaced last time, won before that over 1700m in a Class 4 race at Pornichet on February 9th. Opposable.
14. FREJA – 5th last time at Chantilly in a Class 3 race on March 1st over 1400m. Others seem more likely.
15. ETEL DU NINIAN – Won two runs ago over 1400m at Deauville on November 4th in a Class 3 handicap. Others better equipped.
16. MURCIANO – Won three runs back on March 2nd at Pornichet over 1700m and has not disgraced in two runs since in handicaps. In the mix.

Summary: KENDLY (2) has been supplemented for this race and was a good fourth in a Class 1 handicap at this track when last seen earlier this month. He is the selection ahead of TIMES BOULEVARD (12) who will improve for a recent outing and tries a handicap for the first time. She could have got in off a decent weight. ROYAL SHAKE (9) and PEDRITO (3) are both capable performers and can have a say in proceedings.

1. ZARIR – Won the last two races, the latter a Class 1 race at Chantilly on March 8th over 2700m. Might need a bit further to be effective.
2. AL RIFFA – Decent 2nd at Deauville last time on August 15th over 2000m in the Prix Guillaume D’Ornano (Gr.2). Player.
3. CRYPTO FORCE – Unplaced last time, won before that in a Group 2 race at the Curragh (IRL) over 1600m on September 24th. Others more likely.
4. ZARAKEM – Nice win at this track last time over 2000m in the Prix D’Harcourt (Gr.2) on April 7th. Leading chance.
5. FEED THE FLAME – 5th last time at this track over 2000m in the race won by ZARAKEM (4) on April 7th. Has work to do.
6. HAYA ZARK – Won last time at Saint-Cloud in a Group 3 race on March 16th over 2000m. Outside place chance.
7. BIRR CASTLE – 3rd last time behind ZARAKEM (4) at this track in a Group 2 over 2000m on April 7th. Needs to improve to turn that form around.
8. HORIZON DORE – Nice 2nd last time behind ZARAKEM (4) in a Group 2 race over 2000m at this track earlier this month. Can improve and ought to feature.
9. FANTASTIC MOON – Good 2nd last time over 2000m at Hoppergarten (DEU) in a Listed race on March 31st. Can strip fitter for that run and is a key player.

Summary: FANTASTIC MOON (9) ran well when second in a Listed race at Hoppergarten last time in late March and has good course form at this track having won the Prix Niel (Gr.2) last September. He will be fitter for a recent outing and gets the vote ahead of AL RIFFA (2) who is returning after a solid effort last August when second in the Prix Guillaume D’Ornano (Gr.2) at Deauville. ZARAKEM (4) scored nicely in the Prix D’ Harcourt (Group 2) at this track last time on April 7th and can not be ruled out. HORIZON DORE (8) was second in that race and is one to keep safe.

2. KNOW THYSELF – 3rd last time in a Class 2 race at Chantilly on March 30th over 2400m. Among the leading place chances.
3. AMERICAN SONJA – Nice 2nd last time over 1800m in a Group 3 race at Fairyhouse(IRL) on September 18th. Place chance.
4. QUISISANA – Fair 3rd last time over 2100m in a Listed race at this track on April 7th. More required to be involved.
5. SEA THE LADY – Unplaced on the last two runs, 3rd before that in a Group 1 race at Dusseldorf (DEU) over 2200m on August 6th. Has work to do to feature.
6. OTTERY – Nice win in a Listed race at this track on April 7th over 2100m last time. Cannot be overlooked.
7. EXCELLENT TRUTH – Unplaced last time, won before that in a Group 3 race at Deauville on July 30th over 2000m. Can be ready for this return outing.
8. QUANTANAMERA – 4th last time in a Group 1 race in Baden-Baden (DEU) over 2400m on September 3rd. Opposable.
9. LEFT SEA – Credible 4th last time in a Group 3 race at Chantilly over 1800m on September 16th. Player.
10. PENSEE DU JOUR – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 2000m in the Prix De La Nonnette(Gr.2) over 2000m at Deauville on August 20th. Useful performer who can have a say.

Summary: EXCELLENT TRUTH (7) could be the answer to this competitive race for fillies. She won a Group 3 race two starts ago last summer at Deauville and was highly tried in the Prix De L’Opera (Gr.1) when a close-up sixth when last seen in October. PENSEE DU JOUR (10) runs well fresh and looked a potential star on her first two runs last year. She can bounce back to form and be involved at the business end. LEFT SEA (9) and OTTERY (6) are useful fillies and cannot be overlooked.
