Summary: RIYAH (11) and AL MUTHQAFAH (3) are both making their debut but are well-bred
fillies and it would not be a surprise were either of them to prove good enough against these rivals.
RIYAH (11) is the narrow choice to score. JAAZMINA DU SOLEIL (1) ran well on her debut when
third and that experience should get her to fight out the finish once again. ZALLAL AL SHAHANIA
(4) is another newcomer to consider.

SELECTIONS
RIYAH (11) – AL MUTHQAFAH (3) – JAAZMINA DU SOLEIL (1) – ZALLAL AL SHAHANIA
(4)

1. TOP OF MIND – Has been in top form with three wins in a row, the latter over 2400m at this track
on March 17th in a Class 2 race. Can win again
2. DEVIL IN THE SKY – Has two unplaced runs of late in Listed and a Group 3 race, 4th before
that in a Group 3 race at Chantilly over 2400m in mid-June. Player
3. LAUGHINGOF FEAR – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 3000m at Goteborg(SWE) on
September 30th. Makes no appeal
4. MR DE POURCEAUGNAC – Fair 4th in a Class 2 race at this track over 2400m on March 17th
last time. Warrants respect and can not be ruled out
5. CHECKPOINT – 5th last time at Zurich (CHE) over 2475m on September 24th. Looks hard to
recommend
6. KANESHYA – Won last time at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 race on April 2nd over 2200m. Will
find this difficult
7. MONT DE SOLEIL – Won his sole run to date over 2400m at Chantilly on April 5th, 2023. Can
improve and play a lead role after an absence
8. KARRIEWHITCHIT – 3rd over 2400m at this track in a Class 2 race on March 17th when last
seen. Might find a few of these too smart
9. ATLANTICA – Three unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that in a Listed race at Dusseldorf (DEU)
over 2100m on June 16th. Capable of making the frame

Summary: After racking up a hat-trick of wins it is hard to see past TOP OF MIND (1). She won
nicely at this track in mid-March when she last appeared. DEVIL IN THE SKY (2) is a threat having
been highly tried of late. He was fourth in a Group 3 race at Chantilly last summer and can have a
say in proceedings. MONT DE SOLEIL (7) lacks experience and a recent run but did plenty right
when scoring on debut and can not be discounted. ATLANTICA (9) is also worth a mention.

SELECTIONS
TOP OF MIND (1) – DEVIL IN THE SKY (2) – MONT DE SOLEIL (7) – ATLANTICA (9)

R3 – PRIX DE BELLERIVE – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Class 3 Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20,000

Class 1 race on November 12th. In the mix
4. EL MEASTRO – Unplaced last time, 3rd before that in a Class 3 race on February 19th over
1500m. Has decent placed form at this track and can be the one to beat
5. JOH SPIRIT – 4th last time at Salon Provence in a Class 3 handicap on April 3rd. Course winner
over 1600m in November 2023. Outside place chance
6. AGRI – Fair 4th in a Class 3 race over 1500m on February 19th and has won at this track over
1600m previously. Can not be discounted

handicap. Ought to be thereabouts after a 7 month absence
8. ETERNEL – 5th two runs ago in a Class 3 handicap over 1500m on February 26th. Makes limited
appeal

Summary: EL MEASTRO (4) could be the best option in this race. He was a decent third two starts
ago at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in February over 1500m and has good course form at this track.
BELAFONTE (3) is capable of making an impact despite four tame efforts of late. ASHIKTASH (2)
is one for the each-way backers to take seriously in this eight-runner event. AGRI (6) is a winner
at this track and warrants respect.

SELECTIONS
EL MEASTRO (4) – BELAFONTE (3) – ASHIKTASH (2) – AGRI (6)

March 17th. Hard to fancy
4. CALADBOLG – Did well when 2nd at Chantilly over 1600m on March 28th in a maiden on the
sole start. Can make progress and be on the premises
5. GLANCE OF STARS – Unplaced on the only run over 2000m at Saint-Cloud on March 21st.

improve and has outside place claims
9. GRETZKY – Nice 3rd at Chantilly over 1900m on March 18th on his second start. Looks the likely
winner

Summary: GRETZKY (9) has run well on both his runs so far and was a pleasing third at Chantilly
over 1900m in mid-March last time. He is the selection ahead of OURO PRETO (7) who has been
a bit below par in the last two runs but was a promising second at Chantilly last September and
can get back on track in this. ZRYAN (1) has been second on the last two runs and needs to be
respected. MEKHXIMAA (2) can also be involved and can only improve from his latest run.

SELECTIONS
GRETZKY (9) – OURO PRETO (7) – ZRYAN (1) – MEKHXIMAA (2)

R5 – PRIX DESIR DE MAI – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Maiden Race – Flat – EUR € 21,000

to recommend

Looks vulnerable
3. BALTIC EMPRESS – Promise when 6th on the sole run to date over 1900m at Deauville on
December 3rd in a maiden. Can be involved
4. SAMOTHRAKI – Fair 4th at Toulouse over 1600m on March 20th on the only run. Can be fitter

chances

and ought to be thereabouts

and looks a leading player
9. YAKAMOUN – Credible 3rd at this track over 1600m on March 17th on the only run so far. Will
be more streetwise this time and can feature
10. DAKOTA GIRL – 3rd over 1400m at Munich-Riem (DEU) on the only run on August 12th. Others
rate higher

Summary: Some promising types line up in this maiden event. BEST OFFER (8) caught the eye
when fourth at Saint-Cloud in early March and will know more this time after that pleasing run. She
can score from DIVIDE AND RULE (7) who ran well at this track last time and could give the
selection the most to do. YAKAMOUN (9) is also one that can step forward from a pleasing debut
at this track when third. She will be more focused today. BALTIC EMPRESS (3) heads the rest.

SELECTIONS
BEST OFFER (8) – DIVIDE AND RULE (7) – YAKAMOUN (9) – BALTIC EMPRESS (3)

R6 – PRIX JEAN MALLEN – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20,000

Place contender

having a presence
9. SOKNA – Won a handicap at Fontainebleau over 1800m on March 15th when last seen. More
required with the rise in the handicap

Summary: INTUITION (6) could be well handicapped after three runs in maiden events. She is
given the vote ahead of TECUMSEH (7) who has also shown talent in three runs so far himself and
ought to be involved at the business end. FALBALA (8) is also lightly raced and can not be ruled
out of the top three. PRINCESSE COLUMBIA (3) is already a winner and can not be ruled out of
having a say in the finish.

SELECTIONS
INTUITION (6) – TECUMSEH (7) – FALBALA (8) – PRINCESSE COLUMBIA (3)

Summary: FASHIONABLY (11) finished an encouraging 4th on debut on this course and is likely
to fight for victory, as improvement is expected with the benefit of that experience under the belt.
NATIVE PEARL (7) has Group I entries to her name and is, despite two disappointing previous
outings, ought to acquit herself competitively in a race of this nature. Runner-up to the excellent
Calandagan on debut, SILVER SPUR (5) has legitimate claims too on his reappearance having
been gelded. PEBBLESSHINYBRIGHT (10) and VEGA (9) complete the shortlist.

2. MANOIR – Fourth last time out in a Handicap at Pornichet-La Baule over 1700m on the 27 of
March. A versatile sort who performs on the sand and grass. Should make a bid for victory
3. LA VUELTA – Improving and was third in a Handicap at Compiegne over 1600m on the 29 of
March. Can make the frame
4. LAMAJESTIK – Probably needed the last run and was 8th in a Conditions race at Compiegne
over 2000m on the 10 of March. She has been placed on this track in Claimers and can earn

over 1400m on the 2 of April. Yet to place and others are preferred

Summary: After finishing 4th in a tougher race on the PSF at Chantilly last time, it could pay to
side with LA TOUR DU BOIS (6) who proved her efficiency on turf last year when 4th on debut at
Le Pin au Haras on soft ground. She will, however, be tested by MANOIR (2) whose consistency
and versatility will stand him in good stead. LA VUELTA (3) confirmed the improvement of her
previous start (5th) with an encouraging 3rd last time and is likely to make her presence felt too
with a repeat of that performance. Of the rest, ROUDOUDOU (1) appeals most.

SELECTIONS
LA TOUR DU BOIS (6) – MANOIR (2) – LA VUELTA (3) – ROUDOUDOU (1)

R9 – PRIX DU PARC BARBIEUX – 1800m (a1m1/8) – TURF – Class 4 Race – Flat – EUR € 14,000

on the 29 of March. Should make a bold bid
8. NUIT FAUVE – Unplaced in a Handicap last time out at Chantilly over 1900m on the 28 of March.
Others are preferred
9. LOVER WITH A G – Holding form and was 5th in a Conditions race at this track over 1800m on
the 22 of March. Probably needed the latest and can go close

Summary: MANDRES (7), the joint top-rated runner in the race, ought to capitalise on these
favourable conditions by opening her account, especially with the benefit of her rider’s 1,5kg
allowance. She will, however, have to thwart the likely challenge of LOVER WITH A G (9), another
joint top-rated entrant whose rider also takes 1,5kg off the back. DORIANELLO (6), a winner on
this track last year, makes the trip for this commitment with legitimate ambitions too. TATOO (3)
completes the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
MANDRES (7) – LOVER WITH A G (9) – DORIANELLO (6) – TATOO (3)

March. Performs well at this track and deserves to be respected
15. INVIOLABLE SPIRIT – Finished 8th last time out in a Claimer at this track over 1100m on the
22 of March. Three unplaced attempts this year

Summary: Veteran TALLINSKI (9) caught the eye with a reassuring 3rd at Chantilly last time and
has sound references at this venue – albeit without success – so is marginally preferred in this sprint
handicap. Veteran GLICOURT (14), twice a winner over this course and distance, is ideally
positioned in the starting stalls and has the means to play a leading role too, having finished an
encouraging 4th over this track and trip last month. ISEULT (3), after a much-needed comeback
run, veteran mare CRISTAL MARVELOUS (1), and MAGIC SWORD (2) could also resurface in a
race of this nature.

SELECTIONS
TALLINSKI (9) – GLICOURT (14) – ISEULT (3) – CRISTAL MARVELOUS (1)

March.Consistently poor form and happy to ignore
3. BARBUDA – Modest last two runs and was 9th in a Handicap last time out at Deauville over
1300m on the 15 of December. Been on a break since and has sufficient means to fight for the
victory.
4. SWEET AS – Unreliable and was 8th in a Handicap at Deauville over 1400m on the 10 of
April.Well-drawn and will be an advantage but is not the most consistent sort
5. TWO TWO TWO – Unplaced in a Handicap last time out at Deauville over 1400m on the 10 of
April. Disappointing last three efforts, but placed fourth at this track in October. Consider
6. ILLUMINATING – Was 8th in a Handicap at Mons over 950m on the 23 of November.Long losing
streak and best to pass by

8. HIS PRIDE – Unplaced in a Handicap last time out at Chantilly over 1300m on the 29 of February.
More is needed to win

improvement in the latest
15. LILLY BIRD – Unplaced in a Handicap at Pornichet-La Baule over 1700m on the 27 of March.
Poor form and others are preferred

Summary: This is another wide-open handicap and cases can be made for several runners.
However, it could be worth siding with veteran ASTURIAS ROAD (10) whose 3 career victories
were all achieved over this course and distance. BARBUDA (3) is, like the selection, also favourably
positioned in the starting stalls, so has legitimate ambitions here on her seasonal reappearance.
TWO TWO TWO (5), although out of sorts, isn’t incapable of making her presence felt either, having
finished 4th over track and trip last year off a mark 4kg higher than her current rating. SWEET AS
(4) and JAVA JAMES (12) appeal most of the remainder and are competitive for the places.

Summary: Inconsistent of late, although particularly efficient with Australian blinkers, TEMPO (6)
seems the most likely winner of this race, especially if judged on the form of his last start (2nd) in
a 1300m PSF handicap at Chantilly last month. RUE MIA (8) fits a similar profile, though, having
finished 3rd on the turf at Chantilly last Monday, so should fight for victory. WAHAYEB (11) lines
up here in good form and physical condition with legitimate ambitions too, after finishing 3rd over
course and distance on her handicap debut last month. Last-start winner WAITING CALL (9) ought
to remain competitive despite a resultant penalty.
