in a handicap before that. Capable of making the frame
3. CHIRIMIRI – 5th two runs ago over 1200m on November 7th in a Class 2 handicap, has won
at this track in 2023. Among the leading chances
4. DENVER CHOP – 5th last time over 1200m in a Class 2 handicap at Fontainebleau on March
25th. Can make the frame
5. O TRASNO – Three unplaced runs of late, 4th before that in a Class 2 handicap on November
7th over 1200m. Place chance
6. RAYSTEVE – Good 3rd at Fontainebleau last time in a Class 2 handicap on March 25th over
1200m. Live chance
7. FORCHESTER – Unplaced on the last two runs, won before that in a Class 2 handicap on
January 15th. Ought to be in the shake-up

12. WILD WEST – 4th last time, won before that over 1300m at Deauville on December 25th in
a handicap. Merits consideration
13. KOUTSOUNAKOS – Two unplaced runs of late, won the two races before that, the latter at
Chantilly on September 9th in a Class 3 race over 800m. Looks unlikely
14. PRADARO – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 1100m at Fontainebleau in a Class
3 handicap on March 6th. Among the leading contenders
15. SISTER OF LOVE – Won at Fontainebleau over 1200m last time in a Class 3 handicap on
March 25th. Can not be discounted
16. KHAN – Three unplaced runs recently, 2nd before that at Chantilly over 1200m in a Class
2 handicap on September 16th. Outside place chance

Summary: RAYSTEVE (6) is the tentative selection in this open handicap. He was a good third
last time over 1200m in late March. The main danger could be WILD WEST (12) which is the
mount of Christophe Soumillon and was a pleasing fourth last time in the same race as the
selection when not beaten far. CHIRIMIRI (3) won at Chantilly last September and has been
running credibly of late and is one for the each-way backers to take seriously. PRADARO (14)
makes up the shortlist.

2. SOMMERBLITZ – Won last time in a claiming race over 1800m on March 3rd at Lyon La
Soie. Hard to recommend
3. AL DAAYEN – 3rd at Lyon La Soie last time over 2150m on March 24th in a Class 2 race.
Might find this too much
4. WILL SCARLET – Won well last time over 1400m in a Class 2 race on June 15th. Will be fit
and ready after an absence
5. BELIEVER – Won over 2150m in a maiden last time on January 20th at Cagnes-Sur-Mer.
Can not be ruled out
6. PALAZZO – 4th last time in a Class 2 race at Chantilly on March 14th over 1600m. Has more
to do in a better race
7. CABERNET FRANC – Fair 3rd over 1600m at Chantilly on November 14th in a Class 2 race
on his last run. In the mix
8. RETOUCH – 2nd last time at Chantilly over 1800m in a Class 2 race on October 4th. One to
keep safe
9. ROSE JAIPUR – 2nd over 1800m in a Class 2 race at this racecourse on October 4th when
last seen. Others rate higher

Summary: After 10 months away from the track, WILL SCARLET (4) will be ready for this
outing and this son of Masar should make up into a useful three-year-old. STANGHELI (1) was
a decent third in a Class 2 race when last seen in September and looks like the main danger.
CABERNET FRANC (7) is in the mix and has plenty of improvement to come having only raced
twice so far. BELIEVER (5) makes up the shortlist.

12th over 1400m. Makes no appeal

Summary: CITY OF GOLD (2) has every chance of following up on recent success at
Senonnes in a maiden when last seen on March 23rd. GOLDEN GLOBE (9) could be the one
that makes him work hard for the win. He was a credible fifth at Chantilly when last seen 16
days ago. BOMBEY (1) is also worth considering and could be the one to back each way having
scored at Nancy last time. RUE MIA (7) is also worth a mention.

Leading contender
2. ACTION POINT – Nice 2nd at Chantilly in a Listed race over 1300m on March 8th. Makes
the trip from the UK and is one to consider
3. SAJIR – Good form last season, ended the year with a win in a Listed race at Chantilly over
1400m on October 7th. Can score on seasonal return
4. MR FLEURANT – 4th at Chantilly over 1300m in a Listed race on March 8th when last seen.
Can not be discounted
5. SYMMETRIC POWER – 4th over 1100m in a Listed race at Chantilly last time on March 18th
over 1100m. Might find this a bit too much
6. BALSAM – Won a Class 2 race over 1200m at Fontainebleau last time on March 25th. More
is needed in a better race
7. LA BELLE POETE – Won at Toulouse over 1200m last time in a Class 1 race on March 11th.
Others make more appeal
8. DOROTHY LAWRENCE – 2nd two runs ago over 1200m in a Group 3 race at Salisbury
(GBR) on September 7th. Looks vulnerable
9. GOT TO LOVE A GREY – Won a Listed race at Chantilly over 1100m last time on March
18th. Can improve and play a lead role
10. JASNA’S SECRET – Possibly needed the run at Chantilly on March 28th when she was
3rd in a Class 1 race over 1400m. Will strip fitter and ought to be thereabouts

Summary: SAJIR (3) was a useful two-year-old and this looks like a nice race to start his 2024
season. He will be fit and ready for this return to action and sets the standard. CLASSIC
FLOWER (1) has had a recent run when second over 1100m in mid-March and will be better
for that run, she was beaten that day by GOT TO LOVE A GREY (9) and it will be competitive
between the pair again. MR FLEURANT (4) can also play a lead role at the business end.

In good form and has been a runner-up in three of the last four starts. Not out of it

previous winner on the PSF at this track. Improved in the latest effort and can make the frame

Poor recent efforts and others are preferred

6. ENJOY THE SILENCE – Winner of a Handicap at this track over 1900m on the 28 of March.
A recent winner on the sand but he is versatile. Can double up
7. GRISBI – A good second in Handicap at this track over 1900m on the 28 of March. Christophe
Soumillon takes the rein and will need his skill from the widest barrier. Can go close
8. LA FILLE DE BERLIN – Third in a Handicap at Bordeaux-Le-Bouscat over 1900m on the 16
of March. Improved in the latest effort and is fit. Might place
9. TICKLISH – Finished 9th in a Handicap at Lyon-La Soie over 1800m on the 6 of April. Can
at best play a minor role
10. SORRENZA – Second at Mons over 1500m on the 9 of April. Seldom far off them and the
owner is in good form. Respect
11. TARAHUMARA QUEEN – Unplaced in a Handicap at Deauville over 1900m on the 12 of
January. Would be a shock winner

negative

placed once in fifteen starts.Can surprise

Summary: GRISBI (7) will be ridden by Christophe Soumillon from the widest gate of 17. Will
need all of his assistance and should be involved in the finish. ENJOY THE SILENCE (6) is one
of the dangers and is a versatile sort. COVADONGA (14) was close up behind these two and
deserves to be respected. GOLDEN BEACH (1) is consistent in handicaps and can go close
again.

has won three times this year, so has gone up in the weights. Super consistent and deserves
to be respected
4. MORHIB – Fourth in a Handicap at this track over 1600m on the 4 of April. Improved in the
latest and does enjoy the heavy ground. Can be involved in the finish
5. SICILIA – Was fourth in a Handicap at this track over 1600m on the 30 of March. She
performs well on the sand and grass. Possible value of the race
6. PERMENTON – Was 5th in a Claimer at Le Croise-Laroche over 1100m on the 22 of March.
Probably needed the last start and can improve by stepping up in distance
7. ROUVRAY – Disappointed when last seen in a Handicap at this track over 1600m on the 30
of March. Showed some improvement in the latest effort and can surprise on the grass

Can go one better. SAMAGACE DU VIVIEN (13) is one of the dangers and has been close-up
recently. Has sufficient means to fight for the victory. ROUVRAY (7) can improve on the grass
surface. MORHIB (4) is another with claims at the win.
