Racing takes centre stage at Eagle Farm this Saturday, with the Brisbane Racing Club playing host to a bustling 10-race program. Presently graded as a Soft 5, the track awaits further rain forecasted, ensuring it remains Soft. The rail will be positioned at +4.5m for the entirety of the circuit.

In the sixth race of the day, all eyes will be on the promising Lee Freedman-trained three-year-old gelding, Flag Hall, as he vies for his fourth career win in the $125,000 3YO Quality Handicap over 1200m.

Flag Hall returned from a four-month spell with an impressive performance at Ipswich over 1100m on March 9, leading from the start and widening the gap in the straight to secure a convincing 3.8-length victory as the overwhelming favourite. Under Freedman’s guidance, Flag Hall has raced seven times, never failing to finish in the top three, boasting three wins and four minor placings.

Despite a four-week hiatus between races, Flag Hall’s race fitness appears in good order, thanks to a promising trial between runs. Jockey Boris Thorton will take the reins for the second time, benefiting from a favourable barrier draw in gate 4. With this advantageous position, Flag Hall is poised to secure a prime position along the rail early on, setting the stage for the run of the race.
