outing. Can make further progress and looks the one to beat

Needs a few to falter
6. ITSY BITSY – 5th in a Listed race last time and 2nd before that in a Listed race at Toulouse

Summary: A competitive race with all six of the runners closely matched. DOLLAR INDEX (3)
won easily by 5L when last seen in mid-January at Deauville and looks as though he could be
useful. He will need to improve and it is his turf debut, but he should have no issues with that. He
is a marginal choice ahead of the only filly in the line-up ITSY BITSY (6) who has proven form in
Listed Class. HAVRAS (4) and TIMBER LIGHT (1) are others to consider.

Summary: TIERCEVILLE (1) fluffed her lines last time after showing some talent when second
on her debut at this track in late October. She drops in class and is selected ahead of the more
experienced TEARDROP EXPLODES (2) who is a threat having run well when second last time
at Le Mans in early March. FRONDAISON (3) is also worth consideration and will be on the
premises. SPEEDY RECORD (5) heads the remainder.

Summary: NICE SPIRIT (5) is the best option in this event, she seems to be getting better with
race experience and could have the most to fear from GUALDA (6) who won last time at
Toulouse in a maiden in early March by a convincing 4.5L. She is also improving with racing.
GRAND SON OF CALYX (2) and GOLDEN STATE (3) both warrant respect and can fight it out
for minor honours.

Summary: MAHSOUB (1) could be the answer in this event for newcomers. He will be expected

will be expected to give a good account of herself on her first day at school. MEGHWA’AR (3)
looks good on paper and should have a say at the business end. LADY SAFANA (4) could also
be on the premises on her debut.

Summary: PIANINO (1) was a good second two runs ago in a competitive handicap at Toulouse
and is sure to have a say in proceedings. He is given the vote ahead of SHELBY (2) who was a
good second at Toulouse when last seen in early March in a Class 3 handicap. GIFT OF THE G
(6) is one for the each-way backers to look at. LARIS (3) won at this track last time and will need
a bit more to follow up but is one to keep safe.

4. TWILLY LIGHT – David Windrif-trained City Light to be ridden on debut by Eddy Hardouin. Not
one to be underestimated
5. PAMPELONNE – Giovanni Sias rides this City Light debutante from the stable of Alessandro &
Giuseppe Botti. Watch for now
6. POFIGISTE – Sommerabend debutante owned and trained by Mathieu Boutin who has
engaged Sophie Chuette to ride
7. OCEANE PEARL – Clément Guitraud rides this Attendu debutante owned and trained by

10. SPANISH ROSE – Showed a willing attitude when finishing 4th on debut over 1000m at
Marseille-Borély on 20 March. Would’ve benefited from that experience
11. LINESKY – Adrian Murray-trained Inns Of Court debutante worth keeping an eye on with
Tony Piccone engaged to ride
12. CHARISMATIC CHICK – Florian Guyader-trained Inns Of Court debutante from a stable
renowned for doing well with young horses. Will benefit from Marie Vélon’s 1,5kg allowance
13. TREVI – Made no impression when finishing 8th of 8 on debut over 900m at Lyon-Parilly on
17 March. Watch for now
Summary: A two-year-old claiming race to begin the meeting. LES MARQUISES (8), who
finished 3rd in a newcomers’ race over this distance at Lyon-Parilly last month, and SPANISH
ROSE (10), who was 4th over 1000m on her introduction, are likely improvers capable of fighting
for victory in this opening event. LA MOSCA (3) recovered from a slow start to finish 4th over
track and trip on her debut and needn’t improve a great deal to join that fight. YOUNG AND
PROUD (1), with Maxime Guyon engaged, has a bit to find on the form of his introduction behind
SPANISH ROSE (10) but cannot be underestimated either.

maintained consistency in both subsequent outings. Finished 3rd on his reappearance over
2100m on heavy ground at Toulouse on 4 March
4. ROADSHOW – Impressive winner on debut over 1500m on this course last year (30 October).
Has Group I entries in both the Prix du Jockey Club and Grand Prix de Paris
5. MAIA STAR – Overcame a tardy start on debut to run out a wide-margin winner over 2350m at
Machecoul on 25 February. Ought to confirm that promise by playing a leading role here
Summary: Well-bred Galileo colt ROADSHOW (4), out of Group II winner and Group I runner-up
Acapulco, was impressive when winning on debut on this course over 1500m in October. He
ought to have strengthened/improved since and is an exciting prospect on his eagerly anticipated
return over this distance, so it could pay to follow his progress. MAIA STAR (5) made a winning
introduction at Machecoul over 2350m and is likely to pose a threat in receipt of 1,5kg from that
rival. PURPLE MOOD (1), supplemented to run in this race after an encouraging comeback 2nd
over 2000m on this course, also has the means to play a leading role in the finish.

1. TRABUCO – Impeccable in three starts this year, built on the promise of his comeback 2nd
with consecutive Quinte+ race wins on the PSF at Deauville and over track and trip on 7 March.
Penalised another 5kg but has claims again
2. MOONWALK STEP – Consistent handicapper with sound references at this level and on heavy
ground, including a last-start 3rd on this course in a 3000m QUinte+ on 26 March. Dark horse
3. MONACO RULES – Progressive colt with three wins from his last four starts, including a laststart success over this distance on his handicap debut on heavy ground over 2000m at Toulouse.
Up 2,5kg for that win but can stake a claim
4. MORPHEWAN – Finished 3rd in a 2150m Quinté+ in his first outing for Patrice Cottier and won
a 2500m handicap at Cagnes in February. Could only finish 7th in a 2400m QUinte+ on this
course under a penalty on 16 March
5. CORTEZ BANK – Consistent handicapper who made an encouraging start for Elias Mikhalides
by finishing 4th in Quinté+ over this distance on very ground at Marseille-Borely on 27 February.

6. NASOMO – Won on debut in Germany in 2022 and finished 5th in a two-year-old Group II later
that year. Missed his entire 2023 campaign but didn’t go unnoticed in two comeback appearances
on the PSF – finished 8th over 1800m at Chantilly on 29 February
7. CHIAREGGIO – Proved his competitiveness several times in Quinté+ events last year and is
comfortable on heavy ground. Finished 15th in a similar event over track and trip on his
reappearance on 7 March – ought to improve
8. PICNIC ROYAL – Retruned from a 10-month absence to finish 11th on heavy ground in a
handicap over 2000m at Toulouse. Won an AFASEC race subsequently so ought to give a more
competitive account of himself here
9. MORSAN – Consistent veteran handicapper with sound references at this level and on heavy
ground. Didn’t go unnoticed when finishing 9th in an 1800m Quinte+ at Compiègne on 199 March
– dark horse
10. LADY CHAPEL – Consistent and lightly raced filly with sound references/form credentials,
including a PSF handicap victory at Lyon-La Soie before finishing 4th under a penalty in a 1600m
handicap on heavy ground at Fontainebleau on 2 March
11. KARAKORUM – Won a course-and-distance handicap on very heavy ground on 7 March and
proved his competitiveness under a 2,5kg penalty when finishing 2nd in a 2300m handicap at
Senonnes-Pouancé on 23 March
12. YQUELON – Showed early promise but was disappointing in handicaps late last year.
Finished an encouraging 6th on his reappearance in a 2000m handicap on heavy ground at
Toulouse on 4 March
13. EL MANIFICO – Well-performed veteran handicapper with sound references at this level (4
wins and 12 places), including a last-start 6th in a Quinte+ over track and trip on very heavy
ground on 7 March 14. RIDWAAN – Finished 3rd in a course-and-distance Quinte+ on 7 March but failed to confirm
that form/improvement when only 9th over 2400m on this course on 16 March. Can do better
reverting to this distance
15. KINGDOM – Inconsistent in PSF handicaps recently at Cagnes and made no impression in
his only appearance at this level over track and trip in 2022. Best watched for now after finishing
8th in a 2000m PSF handicap on 12 February
16. WAITARA – Non Partant
Summary: NASOMO (6), who finished 5th in a two-year-old Group II, has run two pleasing
comeback races at Deauville and Chantilly. For his first handicap, with “Monsieur Quinté+”
Stéphane Pasquier engaged, he could represent the value here. After consecutive wins at this
level, hat-trick seeking TRABUCO (1) has to concede weight to all but ought to remain
competitive and is likely to fight for victory. MONACO RULES (3), who made a winning
reappearance, fits a similar profile. EL MANIFICO (13) and MORSAN (9) have the means to
make their presence felt too. The shortlist is completed by MORPHEWAN (4), with Mickaël
Barzalona in the irons, and LADY CHAPEL (10).

2. ABISOLA – Has made two pleasing appearances on the PSF, including over 1600m at
Chantilly on her reappearance last month (5 March). Not taken lightly in her first start on turf
3. STARLIGHT – Finished 6th on debut at Chantilly over 1400m and failed to improve when only
10th over 1500m on this track when last seen on 10 November
4. MIELA – Runner-up on debut over 1400m in October at Cologne in Germany but only 7th in
both November outings on PSF on French soil. Absent since the latest of those at Deauville on
28 November
5. MONBE – Was more than 4 lengths adrift of CHIVERE (7) when finishing 5th on debut over this
course and distance. Can only improve
6. BUBBLE GUM – Entered in the Group I Prix de Diane and didn’t go unnoticed when finishing
5th on debut at ParisLongchamp over 1800m on 15 October. One to note on her reappearance
7. CHIVERE – Finished 3rd on debut over track and trip behind a runaway winner. Would’ve
gained plenty with the benefit of that experience
8. JIJI MY LOVE – Soundly beaten in both outings to date, on turf at Cagnes on debut (16th) in
January and on PSF at Chantilly last time (12th) on 5 March. Hard to recommend
Summary: CHIVERE (7) finished 3rd on debut over course and distance behind a runaway
winner so, with improvement expected given the benefit of that experience, will aim for victory,
especially with the aid of her rider Ambre Molins’ 1,5kg allowance. Group I Prix de Diance entry
BUBBLE GUM (6) would have come on appreciably from the experience of her ParisLongchamp
debut (5th) so could pose a threat. So, too, could MONBE (5) who finished 5th on debut behind
the slecetion. ABISOLA (2) showed enough in 2 starts on the PSF to warrant
respect/consideration in her first start on the turf.

2. OZAT – Well played on this course during his debut, he took a promising second place.
3. E BASTA LA – Finished a well-beaten 4th of 5 runners on debut over this course and distance
on 12 March. Others preferred
4. GOLDEN ROCK – Didn’t go unnoticed when finishing 4th on debut behind OZAT (2) and
NAXOS (5) over course and distance on 7 March. Keep safe
5. NAXOS – Showed a willing and determined attitude when staying on under pressure to finish
3rd on debut over course and distance behind OZAT (2) on 7 March
6. NOBLEMAN – Runner-up on debut over 1900m on the PSF at Chantilly, having led for much of
the way on 15 February. Will appreciate this shorter distance
7. EN PLEIN AIR – Consistent for the most part on PSF and his experience should stand him in
good stead, though ran his worst race in his only outing on turf (debut in 2023). Finished 5th over
1300m on PSF at Chantilly on 14 March
Summary: OZAT (2) failed to justify favoritism on debut but finished a promising 2nd nonetheless
and needn’t improve a great deal to open his account here with the benefit of that experience.
NAXOS (5) finished a length adrift of that rival over this course and distance on his introduction
and is likely to pose a threat with improvement expected. Supplemented NOBLEMAN (6), runnerup on PSF over 1900m at Chantilly on debut, and GOLDEN ROCK (4), who finished behind the
top two when 4th over course and distance on debut, ought to acquit themselves competitively
too.

2. MARHABA YA SANAFI – Last year’s Group I Poule d’Essai des Poulains (French Guineas)
winner. Proved he retains all his ability when winning over course and distance on his
reappearance on 7 March. Candidate for success
3. GREY TORNADO – A consistent, versatile performer with references on both the turf and PSF.
Finished 5th over 1600m on PSF at Chantilly on his reappearance 8 March – improvement
needed
4. TRIBALIST – A high-class performer with an impressive record on this course. Absent since
his failure (14th) in the Group I Hong Kong Longines Mile at Sha Tin on 10 December
5. TOPGEAR – Unbeaten in three starts in 2021 and missed the whole of 2022 but showed his
class by performing well at this level last year. Showed his form/well-being when 2nd to
MARHABA YA SANAFI (2) on this course on 7 March
Summary: Having never finished worse than 3rd in eight outings on this course, defending
champion of this Group III event TRIBALIST (4) is good value to redeem himself after an
unsuccessful trip to Hong Kong for the Group I Longines Mile. He will, however, have to be wary
of Group I winner MARHABA YA SANAFI (2) who made an impressive winning comeback on this
course recently. Runner-up that day TOPGEAR (5) proved his form and competitiveness to also
stake a claim in a race like this. BREIZH SKY (1) isn’t without a chance either.

4. MAKING DREAMS – Talented filly with serious references and her experience should stand
her in good stead. Last seen finishing 5th in the Group III Prix des Réservoirs on 18 October
5. ZUNA – Highly rated Group I Prix de Diane entry who was a convincing winner on debut over
1900m at Chantilly (PSF) on 1 March. Exciting prospect open to any amount of improvement
6. NADELIA – Debut winner over 1500m on the PSF at Deauville in December and has run well
defeat in 2 starts at Meydan (5th in both) this year. Returns to French soil after her 5th in the
Listed Jumeirah 1000 Guineas on 2 March
Summary: Group I Prix de Diane entry ZUNA (5) confirmed her lofty reputation with a debut
success over 1900m on the PSF at Chantilly and could, even in this stronger test of her mettle,
improve to remain undefeated. during her victorious debut but can win again. The danger comes
from across the Channel for this well-bred filly with JE ZOUS (2), second in a Listed at
Newmarket at the beginning of November, and MAKING DREAMS (4), very gifted and
experienced. NADELIA (6) is one to watch after a winter spent in Dubai.

finishing 3rd in a 3000m Listed race at Fontainebleau on 7 November – absent since

conditions races at a lower level, including a last-start success at Hyères over 2500m on 16
March. Has a lot more to do at this level
7. GOLDEN CALL – Caught the eye with an encouraging 3rd over 3000m at Fontainebleau on his
reappearance on 15 March. Can get into the picture
8. AMELIELYMPIQUE – Finished 3rd behind HOMO DEUS (2) in a 2400m Listed race at
Toulouse in November and an encouraging 4th on her reappearance at Cagnes on 15 January.

9. ANGEL GUIDANCE – Lightly raced unexposed Mastercraftsman filly who has shown her limits
at Listed and Group III level (finished 8th in both) – the latest over 2800m on this course on 7

Summary: HOMO DEUS (2) has thrived in his preferred testing conditions recently, winning all 3
starts this term, and can take advantage of the ground by remaining undefeated in 2024, despite
his lack of references over this marathon distance. SKAZINO (4), multiple Group winner, has won
twice on this track and has no stamina doubts so is likely to fight for victory. Veteran ALMACADO
GREE (3) was sparingly raced last year but warrants respect on his reappearance, while fellow
veteran FALCON EIGHT (1) has claims too. Good race!

5. MI C’INFILO – Hard-knocking handicapper with sound references on heavy ground. Finished
an encouraging 3rd in a turf handicap over 1800m at Compiegne on 19 March – keep safe
6. CLEVER ACTRESS – Won consecutive 2400m handicaps at Toulouse before struggling (10th)
under a resultant penalty off her current mark in a course-and-distance handicap last time (7
March)
7. ZOOM CHOP – Last-start winner of a 2100m Senonnes-Pouancé handicap on 23 March.
Comfortable on heavy ground so can make his presence felt once more under a 2,5kg penalty
8. LIGHTS COME ON – Consistent veteran mare with solid references in handicaps on heavy
ground, including a last-start 2nd on this course over 2100m on 21 March. Not taken lightly
9. BREATH OF FIRE – Finished 3rd in a handicap over track and trip on heavy ground last month
(7 March) and has been eased in the weights/ratings after finishing 5th in a 2500m claimer at Le
Croisé-Laroche on 22 March
10. USER KINDLY – Runner-up in consecutive turf handicaps at Marseille-Borely on heavy
ground before finishing 7th on the PSF over 2000m at Marseille-Vivaux on 14 March. Will
appreciate reverting to the grass
Summary: Ideally placed under bottom weight and comfortable on heavy ground, it could pay to
side with USER KINDLY (10) in this closing event. Top-weight MON RICIN (1) has regained
momentum and confirmed as much with a last-start success at Bordeaux so could fight for
victory. Consistent MI C’INFILO (5), after an encouraging (3rd) last start, and recent runner-up
LIGHTS COME ON (8) ought to acquit themselves competitively too. EXCITING (2) completes
