Race Preview

R1 – PRIX HUBERT DE CATHEU – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Class 2 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 53,000

1. PUREST TIME – Usually gives of his best and was 5th in a handicap last time out at Deauville
over 1300m on 19 October. Returns from a break and has a place chance
2. CHIRIMIRI – Picked up a 4kg penalty for last win so it was not much of a surprise that his last
two runs were modest and was 5th last time out in a handicap over this course and distance.
Might play a minor role
3. DENVER CHOP – His last win was at this track in October but he has been modest in two runs
this year with the latest being 8th in a handicap at Saint Cloud on 12 March. Can contest the
finish
4. O TRASNO – Disappointing of late and was 8th last time out in a handicap at Pau over this
distance on 18 February. Futter now and is capable of improvement
5. RAYSTEVE – Has been better on the PSF of late and was third last time out in a handicap at
Chantilly over 1400m on 1 March. Holding form and should be a threat
6. WHITE PLATIN – Unreliable and proved in need of last run when well beaten in a handicap at
Saint Cloud over 1400m on 2 March. Capable of contesting the finish when in the mood
7. INVESTISSEUR – Pulled off a hat-trick of wins last year but has been moderate this year and
was 6th last time out in a Conditions race at Marseille Borely over 1200m on 13 February. Can
improve back in a handicap
8. DROGO – Returned from a break as good as ever and won well in a handicap at Chantilly over
1300m on 29 February. Carries a 3,50kg penalty but can follow up
9. IMPITOYABLE – Disappointing last two runs and was 6th last time out in a handicap at
Toulouse over 1200m on 4 October. Could need this run returning from a break
10. TERRITORYWAR – Unreliable but bounced back with a handicap win at this course over
1100m on 6 March. Not out of it
11. FEEL YOUR POWER – Unreliable but was runner-up in a Conditions race at Chantilly over
1400m on 1 March. Can make the frame again
12. FRENCH DEFENSE – Disappointing last run when 12th in a handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer
over 1500m on 7 February. Capable of better but others are preferred
13. WILD WEST – Improving and won a handicap last time out at Deauville over 1300m on 6
December. Carries a 2.50kg penalty for that win but deserves respect
14. ISMAEL PAINT – Won two handicaps last year and was fourth last time out in a handicap at
this course over 1100m on 25 November. Might play a minor role atbest                                          15. PRADARO – Very consistent of late and was runner-up in a handicap last time out at this
course over 1100m on 6 March. Likes this course and has leading claims
16. FURIOSO – Unreliable and was only 6th last time out in a handicap at Saint Cloud over
1400m on 12 March. Fitter now and could play a minor role

Summary: A very competitive handicap. PRADARO (15) loves this course and is coming off two
runner-up performances and deserves a win. DENVER CHOP (3) has won at this course so
could be ready to strike again. RAYSTEVE (5) is holding form but does appear best on the PSF.
FEEL YOUR POWER (11) is unreliable but did run well at Chantilly last time out and can contest
the finish again.

R2 – PRIX DU ROCHER CASSEPOT – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 28,000

1. VERCORS – Returned from a break to win a handicap over this track and trip on 6 March,
Tackles stronger but can contest the finish
2. DESCARTES – Consistent so far and was runner-up last time out in a Conditions race over this
course and distance on 2 March. Tackles stronger this time
3. ZELASQUIN – Did all that was asked of him on debut winning a Conditions race at Chantilly
over 1100m on 4 June. Returns from a break but would not be a surprise winner
4. BALSAM – Has some ability but was last of five runners in a Gr.2. Last time out at Chantilly
over 1200m on 16 July. Returns from a break and is not out of it
5. DREAM WHISPER – Returned from a break to win on French debut in a Conditions race over
this course and distance on 6 March. Can follow up
6. VALDIVARA – Shows some promise and won her second start, a Conditions race at Deauville
over 1200m on 22 August. Scope for improvement and deserves respect
7. SUNNY ANGEL – Has been fair so far and was 5th last time out in a Listed race at Deauville
over 1100m on 19 October. Place chance returning from a break

Summary: An interesting race. DREAM WHISPER (5) won well on local debut and is will not be
a surprise if she follows up with another win. BALSAM (4) flopped in a Gr.2. race but is a Listed
winner and deserves respect. VALDIVARA (6) won well in her second start and could be a threat
returning from a break. ZELASQUIN (3) did all that was asked of him when scoring on debut and
could be up to this level.

R3 – PRIX DE LA DAME JOUANNE – 1800m (a1m 1/8) – TURF – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 20,000

1. WIKENDA – Holding her form and was third last time out in a Conditions race at Chantilly over
1400m on 8 March. Can contest the finish once again
2. TANTOMILE – Disappointing last two runs and was 7th last time out in a handicap at Toulouse
over 1600m on 26 November. Capable of better and can contest the finish
3. GRAND LILI – Yet to win a race and was 6th last time out in a Conditions race at Pornichet-La
Baule over 2100m on 16 February. Tries the grass and should be distance-suited. Go close
4. MADEMOISELLE MIA – Kept to the PSF so far and did show improvement when runner-up
last time out in a Claimer at Lyon La Soie over 2150m on 24 January. Can contest the finish
5. BAZIL – Showed some improvement when 6th last time out in a Claimer at Saint Cloud over
1400m on 12 March. More is needed to win this race
6. EXIGENCE – Her only win was over this distance but has only been modest since then and
was 7th last time out in a handicap at Pornichet-La Baule over 2100m on 2 March. Can make the
frame
7. DAROMY – Yet to win a race after 13 attempts and was 6th last time out in a handicap at
Pornichet-La Baule over 2100m on 2 March
8. IRINKA – Was not disgraced when 5th last time out in a handicap at Le Mans over 1600m on
11 March. Capable of improvement and could be the surprise package of the race

Summary: A very competitive looking race. GRAND LILI (3) has yet to win and has been kept to
the PSF so far but could find this course and distance to her liking. WIKENDA (1) is holding form
and could like this longer trip. TANTOMILE (2) returns from a break and does seem better than
the last two runs. EXIGENCE (6) has won over this distance and could contest the finish.

R4 – PRIX DES MARAIS – 2600m (a1m 1/2) – TURF – Class 3 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20,000

1. CHONBURI – Has struggled in her two starts this year and was well beaten last time out in a
handicap at Compiegne over 2400m on 10 March, Best watched for now
2. BARRAMEDA – Yet to win a race and was 6th last time out in a Conditions race at Machecoul
over 2950m on 3 February. More is needed to win
3. MAGIC LEG’S – Modest last run when 9th in a handicap at Lyon Parilly over 2400m on 20
May. Returns from a break and should need this run
4. TARCENAY – Unreliable and is on a very long losing run but was third last time out in a
handicap at Toulouse over 2400m on 20 March. Not out of it
5. MORNING SPIRIT – Modest form of late and was 6th last time out in a handicap at Compiegne
over 2400m on 10 March. Might play a minor role
6. AMIATA – Heavily raced of late and was fourth last time out in a handicap at this course over
2000m on 6 March. Deserves some respect
7. CHARLES LEGEND – Holding form and was fourth last time out in a handicap at Chantilly over
2700m on 16 February. Last win was on the turf and can make the frame
8. MY DARLING – Disappointing recent form on the PSF and was 9th last time out in a handicap
at Pornichet-La Baule over 3100m on 22 February. Can surprise back on the turf
9. ALMAZORA – On a very long losing run but does like this course and was runner-up last time
out in a handicap at this track over 3000m on 15 March. Competitive off this mark and should go
close
10. BAILEYS SANS DOUTE – Very unreliable and was 11th last time out in a handicap at this
course over 3000m on 15 March. Best recent run was on the PSF and others are preferred
11. RED SUGAR – Showed some improvement when fourth last time out in a handicap at
Compiegne over 2400m on 10 March. Could break a long losing run
12. JAZZMAN FLEURY – Yet to win a race after 38 starts and was 8th last time out in a claimer
at Compiegne over 2000m on 10 March. Others are much preferred
13. VINGTCOEURS – Fair third in a Conditions chase last time out at Landivisiau over 4200m on
8 October. Well beaten when last trying the flat so others are preferred

Summary: ALMAZORA (9) clearly likes this course and only had one ahead of her last time out.
She could be ready to break a long losing streak. TARCENAY (4) is also on a long losing run but
did run well when third last time out and can do even better this time. RED SUGAR (11) proved a
danger off her current mark and is clearly not out of it. AMIATA (6) was not disgraced when fourth
last time out and deserves some respect.
