2. LONDON ROYAL – Won a Class 4 race at Machecoul last time on February 3rd over 1650m. Live chance.
3. ABONDANT – Unplaced on the last two runs, 3rd before that in a Class 2 handicap over 2250m in late April 2023 and a win before that at Saint-Cloud in March. Can feature.
4. LIKE MAGIC – 6th last time at Deauville over 1500m in a Class 3 race on October 18th. Tries further but others are more likely.
5. LAMENTO – Non-Runner.
6. NIGHT HOLY – Non partante.
7. VICTORY VERTICAL – 3rd two runs ago at Mons-Ghlin (BEL) over 2100m on December 21st. Hard to recommend.
8. SHE’S COSMIC – 2nd last time at Dortmund (DEU) on February 18th over 1950m, highly tried in Listed and Group races races before that, which include a 4th in a Group 3 race. Player.
Summary: After being tried in Group and Listed races and a good second last time at Dortmund (DEU) SHE’S COSMIC (8) has solid claims to score. Her main rival could be ABONDANT (3) who has been a bit below par of late but was a good third last April before that and scored at Saint-Cloud in March 2023 in a Class 2 race. LONDON ROYAL (2) and JAAFAR (1) both have claims to make the top three and are likely to be each way prices.
SELECTIONS
SHE’S COSMIC (8) – ABONDANT (3) – LONDON ROYAL (2) – JAAFAR (1)
R2 – PRIX D’ABBEVILLE – 2200m (a1m 1/2) – TURF – Class 4 – Flat – EUR €14,000

3. BLACK MORNING – 2nd two starts ago over 2400m at Craon in a Class 4 handicap on December 3rd. Consider each way.

9. NOBLE ANGEL – 3rd four runs ago off a 1.5kg higher rating on September 28th over 1950m at Le Mans. Can be competitive.
10. ENTROPIA – Non partante.
Summary: Unplaced last time but a decent third before that in a competitive Class 3 handicap gives BONNIE HOPPS (4) a decent chance of returning to the winner’s enclosure. KARIOITAHI (2) is a danger as she was narrowly beaten two runs ago when fourth in a Class 3 handicap at Chantilly in December. BLACK MORNING (3) can blow hot and cold but is talented on her day and ought to be thereabouts. LEWIS CHOP (5) heads the remainder.
SELECTIONS
BONNIE HOPPS (4) – KARIOITAHI (2) – BLACK MORNING (3) – LEWIS CHOP (5)

1. MAKE A WISH – 2nd last time over 2000m in a Class 2 race on February 25th and a winner before that in late January over 2000m. Might find a few too smart.
2. BELLE DE SABA – Fair 3rd in a handicap last time over 2150m on February 25th. Ought to be thereabouts.
3. MARCHE D’ALIGRE – Beaten 1.5L when a pleasing 2nd at Angers last time on November 22nd over 2000m in a maiden. Leading contender.

5. ALTHURAYA – Won on November 22nd in a maiden at Angers over 2000m on the latest start. One to keep safe.
Summary: MEAUTIS (4) was a decent second last time in mid-February in a maiden over 2150m and gets the marginal vote in this ahead of his main threat MARCHE D’ALIGRE (3) who was also a pleasing second when he last appeared at Angers over 2000m in a maiden event in late November. ALTHURAYA (5) is also one to pay attention too after a narrow success when last racing at Angers on November 22nd in a maiden race.
SELECTIONS
MEAUTIS (4) – MARCHE D’ALIGRE (3) – ALTHURAYA (5) – BELLE DE SABA (2)
R4 – PRIX DE VULAINES-SUR-SEINE – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Maiden – Flat – EUR €18,000
1. ARFAN – Well beaten on the sole run so far at Chantilly over 1400m on February 24th. Others seem more likely.
2. MARZOUK – Placed on the last four runs, the latest when 3rd at Le Mans over 1950m on October 24th. Can get a deserved success.
3. DRUIDE – 5th last time, 2nd before that at Deauville on January 19th over 1500m in a maiden. One to pay attention too.
4. JUNGLE DE FONTAINE – 4th at Angouleme over 2000m on October 29th in a maiden on the only run to date. Looks vulnerable.
5. VIKING D’AUMONT – Well beaten at Chantilly on his only run over 1900m on February 29th. Makes limited appeal.
6. PORTREATH – 3rd last time at Mons-Ghlin (BEL) over 1500m on December 28th. Can make the frame.
7. ZANONA – Fair 5th at Compiegne in early July over 1600m in a maiden race on her latest run. Merits consideration.
Summary: MARZOUK (2) has had a lot of chances to score and is frustrating, although this looks like a decent opportunity to finally get his head in front. DRUIDE (3) can make the selection work hard for success and looks like the biggest rival. ZANONA (7) merits consideration after a promising fifth at Compiegne over 1600m in a maiden when last seen in July 2023. She will be fit for her return from 8 months away. PORTREATH (6) is worth a mention.
SELECTIONS
MARZOUK (2) – DRUIDE (3) – ZANONA (7) – PORTREATH (6)

6. MINDSET – 6th last time at Chantilly in a claimer over 1800m on March 1st in a Class 4 race. Others rate higher.
7. HEYTESBURY LANE – Has several unplaced runs of late, the latest over 1500m in a Class 3 handicap on February 5th. Hard to fancy.
Summary: Former Class 2 winner ANOBE (4) should be too smart for his rivals in this claiming event. He was a credible sixth in a stronger race last time in early March at Chantilly. MYSTERY (3) looks to be the main threat after a win in a claimer at Marseille Borely in late February when last racing. GRECIAN STAR (1) merits consideration as this is a drop in class for him. JELIEL (5) looks best of the rest.
SELECTIONS
ANOBE (4) – MYSTERY (3) – GRECIAN STAR (1) – JELIEL (5)

7. TAYBET – Three unplaced runs lately, 2nd before that over 2000m in a Class 2 race on May 11th. Place chance.
Summary: NEW RULER (2) ran well when second at Nimes last time in mid-February when narrowly beaten. He can go one better in this. COW BOY (1) looks like a threat, he was below par last time but a good winner before that on January 29th in a Class 3 handicap at Cagnes-Sur-Mer. LE GAST (4) can also have a say at the business end after a credible third-placed effort last time over 2500m in early February. LIXI (3) makes up the shortlist.

7. SANTO – Three unplaced runs of late, 4th before that in late October on debut over 1900m. Unlikely.
8. SEMPER FI – 6th last time over 1700m at Pornichet on February 9th in a maiden race. Makes limited appeal.
9. DAY TRADER – 2nd two runs ago at Deauville over 1900m in a handicap on January 26th. Ought to be involved.

12. LEPANTO – Has had six unplaced runs so far, the latter at Machecoul over 2350m in late February in a maiden. Pass over.
Summary: WAR OF THE ROSES (2) might just edge this after a good effort when third at Pornichet in mid-February last time. His main rival looks to be the filly RUBY IN THE ROCKS (1) who has been knocking at the door of late with two second-placed runs. DAY TRADER (9) looks like the best option each way and ran well when second two runs ago at Deauville in late January. SOKNA (6) also warrants respect.
