Race Preview

R1 – PRIX DARSHAAN – 1900m (a1m 1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 38,000

1. JUNKO – Won a Group 1 at Sha Tin over 2400m on the 10th of December. He returns to France
with the highest ambitions and should go close
2. BUKHARA – Finished 5th at Milan over 2400m on the 15th of October. Facing a small but quality
lineup
3. DAWN INTELLO – Won a Conditions race at this track over 1800m on the 24th of January.
Performs well on a fibre sand track and can have a say
4. DOLAYLI – Won a Conditions race at this track over 1900m on the 15th of February. Recent
track winner who should have plenty of supporters

Summary: JUNKO (1) was a winner in December in a Group 1 at Sha Tin in Hong Kong who
returns to France and should be hard to beat. The main danger is DOLAYI (4) and appears the
winner will come from one of these two. DAWN INTELLO (3) is next best and performs well on the
PSF surface. BUKHARA (2) probably need to find a few lengths to win against these rivals returning
from a break.

R2 – PRIX BERING – 2700m (a1m 1/2) – ALL WEATHER – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 38,000

1. SOBER – Won a Group 2 at Deauville over 3000m on the 20th of August. Won this event last
year and can repeat that effort again
2. MEDIA STORM – Finished 5th at Deauville over 2500m on the 16th of December. Has done well
over 3000m and has place claims
3. ZARIR – Won A Conditions race at this track over 2700m on the 16th of February. The latest was
after a gelding. He made a good impression and is the main danger to SOBER (1)
4. SEVENNA’S KNIGHT – Finished 3rd in a Conditions race at Deauville over 2500m on the 19th
of October. Coming back from a break and was a Listed winner at 3 years old
5. GUINESS STAR – Won a Conditions race at Durtal over 2900m on the 1st of November. Facing
a small quality field

Summary: SOBER (1) will try to retain his crown as the winner of this race last year and ZARIR
(3) appears to be the main danger and the winner could come from one of these two. ZARIR (3)
could be the fitter of the two having already winning this year. SEVENNA S KNIGHT (4) and MEDIA
STORM (2) should fight it out for third place but it should be an interesting race.

R3 – PRIX DE LA FOSSE AUX CERFS – 1400m (a7f) – ALL WEATHER – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 20,000

1. WIKENDA – Won a Claimer at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1500m on the 7th of February. Full of
confidence and can contest the finish
2. QUEEN SINGER – Likes this surface and finished 5th in a Handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over
1600m on the 12th of February. Needs to show more but has place potential
3. GEE WHIZZER – Unreliable but finished 4th at Dos Hermanas over 1800m on the 18th of
February. Interesting jockey booking of Mickael Barzalona on his return to France. Might place
4. TANIS – Unreliable and finished 6th in a Handicap at Deauville over 1300m on the 13th of
December Delphine Santiago does the assisting and ran well at this track in penultimate start. Go
close
5. MAGIC PERSEVERANCE – Unplaced in a Handicap at this track over 1600m on the 13th of
January. Entrusted to Cristian Demuro and expecting some improvement
6. PAMELA BOUM – Yet to win but finished 5th in a Conditions race at Lyon-La Soie over 1800m
on the 8th of February. She has often faced well-composed fields and today could be her day
7. LA ROCHETTE – Finished 7th in Conditions race at Deauville over 1500m on the 24th of August.
Last raced in August and might need the run back
8. BATAREIKA – Finished 7th in a Claimer at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1300m on the 21st of February.
Others are preferred in this line-up
9. ROMANCE MARINE – Finished 4th in a Handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1500m on the 26th
of February. Yet to win but not far off the minor money and can surprise
10. RUMPLETEAZER – Unplaced in a Handicap at Deauville over 1900m on the 15th of November.
Might need the run back after the break
11. WAY TO MARBELLA – Showed improvement when 5th in a Conditions race at this track over
1600m on the 23rd of November. Been on a break and is capable of improvement. Not out of it

Summary: PAMELA BOOM (6) has faced fair field’s so far and on her return to Chantilly could be
the one to beat. TANIS (4) who is well weighted and deserves to be respected. WIKENDA (1) has
just joined Maurizio Guarnieris stable and can confirm the last victory. WAY TO MARBELLA (11)
showed some spark as a two-year-old and has a chance as well in a competitive race.

R4 – PRIX MONTJEU – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 38,000

1. BREIZH SKY – Unplaced at ParisLongchamp over 1500m on the 1st of October. Returns from
a break but does have a winning chance
2. FAST RAAJ – Did well when runner-up in a Conditions race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1600m on
the 11th of February. He dominated WALLY (5) in a Listed race. The horse to beat
3. ZALACAIN – Won a Handicap at Pau over 1600m on the 14th of February. Others are preferred
in this line-up
4. GREY TORNADO – Finished 6th in a Conditions race at Craon over 1650m on the 24th of
September. Can play a minor role in this field
5. WALLY – Very consistent so far and finished third in a Conditions race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over
1600m on the 11th of February. Performed well this winter with two victories and a third
6. MR MOLIERE – Unreliable and finished 5th at ParisLongchamp over 1600m on the 30th of
September. He might need the run back but has the potential to be involved

Summary: A small field but an interesting race. FAST RAAJ (2) has been very effective at this
course and did well when runner-up last time out. WALLY (5) is very consistent but does have
some ground to make up on the selection based on when they met. MR MOLIERE (6) is unreliable
and is returning from a break but is not out of it. BREIZH SKY (1) has ability and would not be a
surprise winner returning from a break.

R5 – PRIX ANABAA – 1300m (a6f 1/2) – ALL WEATHER – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 38,000

1. KING OF BAVARIA – 3rd at Deauville over 1300m in a Class 2 race last time on February 10th.
Needs a few of these to falter
2. LE CADEAU – Two unplaced runs of late, 4th before that over 1100m in a Listed race at Deauville
in April. Others rate higher
3. NATIONAL SERVICE – Won two runs ago over 1300m on January 27th in a Class 1 race and a
recent third in a Class 2 race on February 25th over 1500m. Player
4. CLAIM THE STARS – 2nd at Dortmund(DEU) over 1200m when last seen on February 18th.
Hard to recommend
5. TORPEN – Unplaced last time, won before that at Deauville over 1300m in a Class 2 handicap
on Boxing Day. Others more likely
6. SIAM PARAGON – Nice win at Deauville on December 3rd over 1500m in a Listed race and a
solid 2nd before that in a Listed race over 1400m in November. Leading form pick
7. GAMESTOP – Won two runs ago at this track over 1500m in a Class 1 race on October 12th.
Likes the track and one to keep safe
8. MGHEERA – Won at Deauville last time in a Class 1 race on December 28th over 1300m. Listed
placed before that. Consider
9. WHISPERING DREAM – Fair 4th at Deauville behind SIAM PARAGON (6) in December in a
Listed race when last seen. Each way option

Summary: SIAM PARAGON (6) was in great form at the end of 2023 with a win and a second in
Listed races at Deauville. He should be fit and ready after a nice break and can score. NATIONAL
SERVICE (3) could be the main threat having been in top form himself of late with a nice third in a
Class 2 race in late February over 1500m. GAMESTOP (7) is a course winner of a Class 1 race
last October and warrants respect. WHISPERING DREAM (9) makes up the shortlist.

R6 – PRIX MAURICE CAILLAULT – 1800m (a1m 1/8) – ALL WEATHER – Listed – Flat – EUR € 55,000

1. TIMBER LIGHT – Won a Class 2 race last time at Angers on November 22nd over 2000m.
Outside place claims
2. SIYOUKING – Won a Class 2 race at Pau on January 22nd over 1600m, after a win in a maiden
before that. Looks progressive and ought to be involved
3. DARLINGHURST – Won his last two races, the latter a Class 2 event over 1600m on February
19th. . Seeking a hat-trick and is in the mix
4. MONDO MAN – Won his maiden at Deauville on March 2nd easily and looks a useful progressive
type. Will be hard to beat
5. MEMPHIS TENNESSEE – Fair 2nd at this track in a Class 2 race on January 13th over 1900m
when last seen. Lightly raced and has more to come
6. WOOTTON VERNI – Won a Class 1 race on February 9th at this track last time when getting his
hat-trick. Useful performer who can not be overlooked
7. VEGAS – Unplaced last time, 3rd before that in a Class 2 race over 1600m in mid-July. Hard to
recommend
8. YOOX – Won a Class 2 at Deauville last time over 1900m on December 20th when last racing.
Might find one or two of these too smart
9. BATEAU BLANC – Unplaced last time, 3rd before that in a Listed race at Craon over 1650m on
September 2nd. Others look more promising

Summary: MONDO MAN (4) won his maiden by 4L on his second run when last seen on March
2nd at Deauville. He looks useful and is just preferred to DARLINGHURST (3) who is also getting
better with experience. He won well in a Class 2 race last time and will make his rivals work hard,
as will SIYOUKING (2) who is also getting better and will be on the premises. WOOTTON VERNI
(6) is dangerous to rule out in what is a very competitive race.

R7 – PRIX DE PUISEUX-EN-FRANCE – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Class 3 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 23,000

1. MARLOWE – Nice 3rd over 1600m last time at Cagnes -Sur-Mer on February 21st in a Class 3
race. One to pay attention too
2. NO CURE NO PAY – Has four unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 1900m in a Class 3
race on August 5th. Needs to get back to form
3. TELL ME WHY – 5th last time over 1600m in a Class 3 handicap in late February. Unreliable
and is best left alone
4. JIEPIES MELODY – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 1400m on July 29th in a handicap.
Others make more appeal
5. LE ROCKEUR – Nice 2nd over 1400m at Chantilly last time on February 24th. Looks ready to
get that first win
6. DOUBLE EFFECT – 2nd two runs ago in a Class 3 handicap over 1600m in mid-January. Merits
consideration
7. NEOWISE – 3rd last time at Pornichet on February 16th in a Class 3 event. Has yet to win but
has place claims
8. CRACK CITY – 3rd last time over 1300m at this track in a Class 3 handicap 8 days ago. Fit and
not to be overlooked
9. MON SIOUX – Unplaced last time, won before that at this track on January 13th over 1600m in
a Class 3 race. Unlikely
10. ADWAN – Decent 2nd last time at Chantilly over 1900m on February 15th in a Class 3 race.
One for the each-way backers
11. GAME ON – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 1300m in a Class 3 handicap on February
2nd. Others preferred
12. ELAUNEIL – Won last time in a Class 3 handicap on January 17th over 1600m. Can place at
attractive odds
13. PEARL HARBOUR – Has not troubled the judge for a long time, the latest unplaced run was
over 1300m on February 2nd. Out of form and can be passed over
14. PASTEL BLUES – Won last time in a Class 3 handicap at Pornichet over 1700m. Can make
the frame at nice odds
15. MALLORCA SUN – Four unplaced runs of late, 3rd at Le Mans before that on October 24th
over 1950m. Best avoided
16. CITY OF HOPE – Unplaced last time, 3rd before that at this venue in early February over 1600m
in a Class 3 race. Hard to dismiss
17. EVER READY – 5th two runs back is the best form on offer, that was at Chantilly on December
7th over 1900m in a handicap. Looks vulnerable

Summary: LE ROCKEUR (5) was a good second at this track last time in late February and looks
ready for a win. His main rival could be MARLOWE(1) could be the main threat to the selection. He
was a pleasing third last time and is sure to be thereabouts again today. ADWAN (10) ought to be
a threat and ran well at this track when last seen in mid-February. CRACK CITY (8) can also have
a say in proceedings.

on September 18th. Might find a few of these too smart
2. ALI – 2nd last time at Deauville was over 1300m in a handicap on January 6th, won before that
in December. More needed in a much better race
3. ACTION POINT – Nice effort when 3rd last time at Redcar (GBR) in a Listed race over 1200m.
Ought to be thereabouts
4. SKYLIGHT BROCHARD – Fair 2nd at Deauville over 1300m in a Class 1 race on February 10th
when last seen. Can make the top four
5. MCTENETT – 3rd at Deauville last time over 1300m in a Class 1 race on February 10th. Lightly
raced and has more to come
6. MICHIGAN FIRE – 3rd last time over 1400m at Saint-Cloud on November 17th in a Listed race.
More required in a stronger race
7. MR FLEURANT – Good 3rd over 1200m in a Group 3 race at this track last time on September
16th. Won before that. Player
8. SEE YOU AROUND – 2nd last time at Deauville over 1400m in a Listed race on November 5th.
Among the leading chances
9. DORABELLA – Won a maiden last time at Chantilly over 1600m on October 27th on her second
run. Should improve and has outside place claims
10. HAVANA BALL – Won last time at Wolverhampton (GBR) over 1200m on November 23rd.
English raider who can have a say
11. PARISIAN LEAH – Won at Chantilly on her second run last time over 1300m on February 23rd.

12. ALABAMA MOON – Won a Class 1 race at Deauville last time on February 10th over 1300m
and good placed form before that. One to pay attention too

Summary: MR FLEURANT (7) could be the best option in a competitive Listed race. He was a
pleasing third at this track last time in a Group 3 race when last seen in September on turf. ACTION
POINT (3) makes the journey from the UK and could be the main danger after a good run in a
Listed race last time when third at Redcar. HAVANA BALL (10) is another who makes the trip from
the UK and is one for the each-way players to look at. SEE YOU AROUND (8) heads the remainder.

17. MERCURISSIME – 3rd two runs ago over 1300m at Deauville on January 6th in a Class 3 race.
Might find this difficult

Summary: EL MEASTRO (3) is the tentative selection in a wide-open race. He should be nice
odds and is worth taking a chance on after a good run last time. GOLDENSIM (4) holds strong
claims to be involved at the business end after a couple of good runs of late at Pau which includes
a win two runs back. LINFASOMMER (1) is a possible each-way option despite having top weight
to carry. VARIYNI (7) is also worth considering from an each-way perspective.
