5. FLYWIRE – A well-related Frankel colt whose half-sister Queen’s Jewel won at Group I level for
these owners, the Wertheimer brothers. Leading light

Summary: In this opening event for unraced two-year-old colts and geldings, the well-bred SAIDI
EL FAL (3) is the only runner with a Classic entry to his name so it could pay to side with him on
debut. Frankel colt FLYWIRE (5) carries the Wertheimer silks and has to be respected, while wellrelated TOTE BAG (2) is also likely to attract attention with Cristian Demuro engaged to ride. The
latter’s stable companion CHESS (1) was supplemented to run here so can’t be underestimated
either.

SELECTIONS
SAIDI EL FAL (3) – FLYWIRE (5) – TOTE BAG (2) – CHESS (1)

R2 – PRIX DU VAL SAINT-GEORGES – 1400m (a7f) – ALL WEATHER – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 28,000

1. DAMIEN – Won consecutive sprints on the turf as a two-year-old in 2023 but has not been seen
since finishing 5th over 1200m at Lyon-Parilly on 12 September and has no references on PSF.
Best watched for now
2. TORTISAMBERT – Finished an encouraging 4th on debut at Deauville over 1500m and
confirmed that promise by winning over 1300m at that venue on 2 February. Holds a Group I Poule
d’Essai des Poulains entry
3. FERRARI FEVER – Experienced colt with sound references, including consecutive victories in
handicaps at this venue over 1600m and last time out over 1300m on 24 February. Should have a
role to play
4. VERTBOIS – Improving last-start winner over 1300m on PSF at Deauville on 28 November. Also
holds a Group I Poule d’Essai des Poulains entry
5. SAXON GIRL – Made a winning reappearance in her first start on PSF over 1300m at Deauville
on 2 February. Takes on male rivals here but has to be respected given her entry in the Group I
Poule d’Essai des Pouliches
6. EXPERT ADVICE – Runner-up in consecutive outings on turf at this venue before finishing a
disappointing 6th over 1200m in her last start on 12 October. Best watched for now on her
reappearance and PSF debut

Summary: Good race. TORTISAMBERT (2) confirmed the promise of his debut (4th) in a
competitive field with a convincing success at Deauville on 2 February and ought to continue his
momentum. FERRARI FEVER (3) has raised his game to win consecutive handicap races on this
course recently and his experience ought to stand him in good stead. Like the selection, returning
VERTBOIS (4) also holds an entry in the Group I Poule d’Essai des Poulains. Improving last-start
winner SAXON GIRL (5) has to take on male rivals now but ought to acquit herself competitively
nonetheless.

SELECTIONS
TORTISAMBERT (2) – FERRARI FEVER (3) – VERTBOIS (4) – SAXON GIRL (5)

R3 – PRIX SERGE GORLI – 1800m (a1m 1/8) – ALL WEATHER – Class 4 Claiming Handicap – Flat – EUR € 16,000

1. L’IENISSEI – Last-start winner of a 1500m claimer on PSF at Deauville on 3 February. Should
have a role to play here
2. MANNE – Has proven her competitiveness off this mark in handicaps recently at Cagnes, where
she finished 4th in a 2000m PSF handicap on 12 February. Will be a factor at this level
3. PERDRIOLLE – Didn’t have the smoothest passage at the finish last time when finishing 6th in
a good 1600m claimer at Cagnes 12 February. Can gain compensation here
4. ROI DE L’AIR – Has better references in Germany but did finish 2nd in a claimer on PSF at LyonLa Soie in December. Didn’t go unnoticed last time when 5th on that course in an 1800m handicap
on 8 February
5. MINDSET – Absent since finishing 10th on this course in a 1900m claimer on 7 October. Best
watched for now on his reappearance
6. SOLIMAN – Bounced back to form with a reassuring 4th in a claimer on turf over 2150m at
Cagnes on 7 February. Efficient on PSF so ought to be competitive reverting to this surface off a
lower mark
7. STORMY AIR – A veteran of 52 starts with sound references at this level, albeit on turf, in his
last two starts. Finished 4th in the latest of those outings over 1600m at Clairefontaine on 16
October – best watched for now

Summary: PERDRIOLLE (3) was unlucky not to have achieved a better finishing position at
Cagnes last time (6th) but ought to fight for victory on these terms, as the joint highest-rated runner
in the race with the benefit of her rider’s 2,5kg allowance. She will, however, have to thwart the
likely challenge of MANNE (2) who has proven her competitiveness and aptitude for this track.
Last-start winner L’IENISSEI (1) is another with leading claims, despite conceding weight to all.
SOLIMAN (6) appeals most of the remainder.

SELECTIONS
PERDRIOLLE (3) – MANNE (2) – L’IENISSEI (1) – SOLIMAN (6)

R4 – PRIX DE LA SERPENTINE – 1900m (a1m 1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 27,000

1. ELIANTE – This Gleneagles debutante hails from the in-form stable of Francis-Henri Graffard,
so is likely to have her supporters
2. DREAM OF KMILL – Alexis Pouchin rides this Literato newcomer filly on debut for trainer
Anastasia Wattel. One to note
3. GRAND WHISPER – Gianluca Bietolini-trained Saxon Warrior filly to be ridden on her racecourse
debut by Jerome Mustard
4. SEEYOUAGAIN – The Gray Gatsby filly who Ioritz Mendizabal has been engaged to ride for
trainer Fabrice Chappet. Watch
5. GOT BEACH – Edouard Monfort-trained Ribchester filly to be ridden on debut by Hugo Besnier.
Not one to take lightly
6. AGORIA – Zoustar filly who ran with promise after overcoming a tardy start in a recent AFASEC
race. Keep safe
7. RESCUE – Cristian Demuro rides this Taj Mahal filly, who hails from the same maternal line as
Vazirabad, on debut for Pia and Joakim Brandt
8. MON IDOLE – Anastasia Wattel-trained Toronado debutante to be ridden by Theo Bachelot. Not
to be underestimated
9. ZUNA – This Kizuna debutante holds a Group I Prix de Diane entry and is none other than the
first foal out of Matematica, who was 2nd at Group I level as a two-year-old

Summary: As the only runner in this event for unraced fillies with a Classic entry (the Group I Prix
de Diane), well-bred ZUNA (9) could be the one to side with here. AGORIA (6) ought to benefit
from the ‘experience’ gained in a schooling race to stake a claim, while RESCUE (7) is another
likely to attract interest/support with Cristian Demuro engaged to ride. ELIANTE (1), prepared by
Francis-Henri Graffard, completes the shortlist.
