1. ANTAIOS – Has won last three in a row. Won on the 22nd of this month over 2400m at Bouscat
in a competitive Handicap. Serious claims again
2. JAAFAR – Ignore last run when eleventh, finished third over 2500m in penultimate at Deauville
on the 19th of January. Winning chance
3. MYKISS – Needs to build on current form. Finished eleventh over 3000m at Fontainebleau in a
Handicap late last year. Might need the run. Happy to ignore
4. PULSE – Was a winner three runs back over 2500m at Deauville. Finished eleventh over 2500m
at Deauville in a Handicap on the 26th of last month. Place chance
5. HUTTON – Makes his local debut. Finished fourth over 2100m on the 21st of December in
Belgium. Might need the run. Pass by for now as prefer others
6. ZARICA – Caught the eye when fifth over 2500m last time at Deauville in a claiming race on the
3rd of February. Strong each way chance
7. ZARQANA – Placed only eighth over 2500m in a Handicap at Deauville on the 10th of February
and much more required to threaten here. pass by
8. LOCAL WHISKY – Won four races back, finished eighth over 2500m at Deauville in a claiming
race on the 3rd of this month. Good chance
9. NABUNGA – Won well over 2400m in a claiming race at Pornichet on the 22nd of this month
and can follow up. Do not ignore from any bets
10. LORNE – Has been in some tough Handicaps and can build on recent tenth over 2500m at
Deauville. Strong place chance
Summary: JAAFAR (2) is a tad erratic but has served up some very good runs between some
below par efforts and on very best form looks the one to beat. He has been in some competitive
Handicaps and is the win choice. ZARICA (6) has had plenty racing but has racked up many
victories. She finished fifth last time in a similar class and should be a big danger. LOCAL WHISKY
(8) won four races back but has been a bit average since. In saying that, much better can be
expected from him today and he can be given a strong place chance. LORNE (10) is the value
suggestion for the quartet.

1. MUSIC IS HER NAME – Solid form, won penultimate, finished second over 2400m in a claiming
race last time at Pornichet. Strong each way chance
2. GREEN SPIRIT – Has fair overall form, finished sixth over 1900m in a competitive Handicap at
Deauville on the 3rd of this month. Should be right there. Chance
3. THE GREAT GABI – Hard to fancy on current form. Finished thirteenth over 2500m at Deauville
in late January in a Handicap. Would be a surprise winner
4. STEPASIDE BELL – Needs improvement on latest thirteenth over 2100m at Pornichet in a
Handicap on the 9th of this month. Happy to ignore
5. LIDISBARN – Scope to progress on latest fifth over 1900m at this track on the 15th of February.
Strong place claims. Has been in Handicap class.
6. VIZINDI – Placed second at penultimate, finished fifth in a Handicap over 2500m at Deauville on
the 10th of February and is one for the shortlist. Good chance
7. DSCHINGIS FEAR – Current form has been on the decline. Needs to build on recent twelfth over
2500m at Deauville in a weak race. Hard to fancy
8. VENICE – Current form has been on the decline, Finished downfield on the 5th of January over
2500m at Deauville in a Handicap. Improvement required to threaten
9. LIE HIGH – Placed only eleventh over 2200m at Amiens on the 13th of November last year. More
than likely will need the comeback race. Pass by
10. ROYAL MONARCH – Finished fifth over 2700m in a Handicap at this course on the 16th of this
month and has a strong winning chance. Win selection
11. SAN TEODORICO – Was a winner three races back, finished sixteenth over 1500m in a
Handicap race at Deauville on the 6th of January. More needed and can be ignored
Summary: ROYAL MONARCH (10) has been ultra-consistent in recent Handicaps and never too
far adrift the winners. His last run at Chantilly was good enough to warrant him a bright winning
chance. He is however testing our patience for the next win. Today could be the day! MUSIC IS
HER NAME (1) is back in hot form and looks to be the biggest danger to the first selection. She
can be expected to be very competitive. VIZINDI (6) has a strong place chance and can feature in
the finish. A must for the quartet. LIDISBARN (5) can get a lot closer than he has been recently
and has a first four chance.

1. GOLDEN PHARAOH – Fresh off a Handicap victory at Deauville over 1500m on the 10th of this
month. Can follow up. Respect and include
2. PARRHESIA – Placed fourth over 1600m at this venue on the 24th of January and can earn
again. An outsider with place claims. Include
3. EVERSTAR – Attractive third over 1900m in a claiming race at Deauville on the 4th of November
last year. Can race fresh and make a winning comeback. Good chance
4. TREIZIEME – Won well last time over 1700m in a Handicap at Pornichet on the 14th of
November. Can follow up if close to being fully fit. Big runner
5. STARZO FAL – Taking time for maiden win but did place fifth over 1700m in a competitive
Handicap at Pornichet on the 17th of December last year. Can go close to winning. Big chance
6. MR KODIAC – Can progress on latest fifth placing over 1400m at this course in a Handicap on
the 21st of November. Might need the run but can race fresh. Place claims
7. RUE DES ORTEAUX – Won penultimate well, finished fifth over 1900m in a Handicap at
Deauville on the 26th of January and can go very close. Big say
8. GRAND CITY – Lightly raced, improving quickly, finished third at Pornichet over 1700m on the
9th of this month. Strong each way chance
9. ELKABIER – Current form on the decline, needs to build on recent eleventh place at Deauville
over 1500m earlier this month. Others preferred for the selection panel
10. ZELDA REBEL – She has not shone at all in all three starts and will need serious improvement
on latest twelfth placing at Deauville over 1900m. Pass by
Summary: EVERSTAR (3) has run only eight times for five places and two wins. He more than
likely has a tad more to offer and should be very competitive for the win position. He has been
racing in weak company, as he does again today and could be too strong for the opposition.
STARZO FAL (5) has placed eight from ten attempts but has not yet achieved the maiden victory.
He has a bright chance of doing so in this field and must be respected for all bets. TREIZIEME (4)
was a winner last time and if he were to follow up, it would be no shock at all. Chance.

1. NOUR AYA – Can improve on recent eighth over 1700m at Pornichet on the 16th of February
but will need to. Outside place chance
2. SPACE QUAKE – Ran a fair race last time when fourth over 1600m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on the
21st of this month in Handicap class. An outsider that could place
3. GIN GEMBRE – Managed a fourth place last time over 1300m at Deauville and can get into the
mix again. First four chance
4. BIG RIVER – Running well, placed fourth in last two races. Last run was over 1600m at Lignieres
on the 18th of this month. Big chance
5. ROYAL EMERTHER – Improving locally and has strong claims. Placed a good third over 1300m
in a Handicap at Deauville on the 2nd of February. Strong each way chance
6. INVIOLABLE SPIRIT – Needs big improvement on recent ninth place over 950m in Belgium on
the 11th of January. Unlikely to win this
7. URI – Fair overall form, much better last run when fourth over 1300m in a Handicap at CagnesSur-Mer just the other day. Should be in the first four. Include in all bets
8. VEGA DREAM – Placed fourth at Pau over 1400m in a stiff Handicap earlier this month. Can
improve on that to get closer and could be the value. Consider
9. PLANTHALYA – Was a winner in penultimate run, finished fifth over 1600m at this course on
the 15th of February in a Handicap and should be competitive again. Good each way
10. SWEET AS – Placed fourth at penultimate start but then ran downfield over 1300m at CagnesSur-Mer over 1300m in a Handicap just the other day. Hard to make a case for
11. EXPLORAR – Won well last time over 1200m at Toulouse in a Handicap on the 6th of February
and can follow up. Each way value chance
12. JILBAAB – Erratic form, finished fourth in Belgium at penultimate but then seventh over 1300m
at Deauville in a Handicap. Much more needed for the win
13. HIS PRIDE – Excellent effort when second over 1300m at Deauville in a competitive Handicap
on the 2nd of this month and is confidently selected to go one better. Strong win
14. SONDERBAR – Needs to improve on current form and recent eighth over 1300m at Vittel.
Happy to ignore
15. SHAMASUN – Taking a long time for the next win. Finished fifth over 1300m on the 2nd of this
month at Deauville and will need to build on that to threaten here. Prefer others
16. CALY ROSAY – An outsider that will need serious improvement to threaten. Finished seventh
over 1600m at this course last time. More needed
Summary: HIS PRIDE (13) is taking time to find the winners enclosure but is certainly making big
threats of doing so soon. His last effort when second over 1300m in a Handicap at Deauville was
excellent. He is confidently selected to go one better and pass the finish line first. ROYAL
EMERTHER (5) is lightly raced and clearly getting better with racing and since relocating. His last
run was encouraging and he can improve further to go very close to winning. Big runner. BIG RIVER
(4) has finished fourth in his last two races and has massive place claims again. URI (7) has done
enough to warrant inclusion in all bets.

C5 – PRIX DE MONTSOULT – 1800m (a1m 1/8) – ALL WEATHER – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 18,000
1. MISSOURI – Won all three starts on French soil in claiming races on the turf but hasn’t been as
effective in either PSF outing at this level recently on this course. Could only finish 5th over 1500m
on 24 January – outsider
2. TIGRR – Unplaced (10th) in a 1500m Quinte+ on turf at Cagnes on 5 February but is more
effective on PSF and is in better physical condition than most of his rivals. Place chance
3. ALREHB – Consistent performer on the all-weather in England and finished an encouraging 2nd
in his first start on French soil over this track and trip on 24 January. Has a winning chance
4. GRYPHON – A sparingly raced six-year-old entire with the means to play a leading role in a race
of this nature, having proved his competitiveness by finishing 2nd here to the excellent Dolayli over
1900m on 15 February
5. SNUGGLES – Made no impression in either outing at this level and has finished unplaced in all
four starts on the PSF, including her most recent appearance (5th) over 1900m at this venue on 30
December. Others preferred
6. IFACH – Versatile and consistent performer with references, albeit without success, on this
surface. Should have more to offer after a pleasing 6th in a stronger race over 1600m at Cagnes
on his reappearance (21 Jan)
7. GALASHIELS – Lightly raced individual with the best references and highest rating of the runners
in this race. Has been off since finishing 6th in a 2400m turf Group III at ParisLongchamp in May
and this is his debut on PSF
8. SAMAPY – Consistent performer throughout his three-year-old season and confirmed his
competitiveness on PSF by finishing 3rd in a Quinte+ over this track and trip when last seen on 11
November 2022. One to watch
9. SWEET AUTHOR – Prolific performer at a lower level on the turf in Germany but has failed to
establish himself on PSF in all 3 outings on French soil (unplaced in each start). Finished 9th over
2700m at this venue on 16 February
10. NASOMO – Lightly raced colt who revealed considerable means in three starts as a two-yearold in 2022. Missed his entire three-year-old campaign and was only 9th on his 1900m
reappearance at Deauville on 5 January
11. SPEECHMAN – Consistent sort with references on both turf and PSF, although his only win
was on this surface. Absent since finishing 6th in a 1900m PSF handicap at this venue on 11
October
12. ELECTORATE – Five-year-old mare who has finished unplaced in her 2 starts, although at a
higher level in both outings. Was 7th over 2150m on turf at Cagnes on 5 February but ought to fare
better at this level back on PSF
13. JOUEUSE DE BLUES – Unreliable mare with inconsistent form references at a lower level on
both surfaces, including a modest 5th over 1500m on PSF at Mons in her comeback outing on 21
December. Hard to make a case for
Summary: ALREHB (3), runner-up behind the smart Dawn Intello recently, and GRYPHON (4),
who was 2nd to Dolayli on this track last time, set the standard here and are likely to find themselves
fighting for victory. IFACH (6) should have more to offer after a much-needed comeback outing, so
could pose a threat. SPEECHMAN (11) and GALASHIELS (7) complete the shortlist.

C6 – PRIX DE L’ALLEE QUINCONCE – 1300m (a6f 1/2) – ALL WEATHER – Class 3 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 23,000
1. SHAMYA – Has taken a particular liking to this surface and confirmed as much by finishing 2nd
over track and trip in a similar contest on 2 February. Will have a role to play
2. FUCHSIA – Consistent for the most part, competitive off her current mark and seldom far off the
action. Was 5th in a PSF handicap over this distance at Deauville on 2 February, so ought to make
her presence felt here
3. MAGIC SWORD – Unplaced in each of his 10 starts on PSF and is undeniably more effective on
the turf. Has not been seen since finishing 8th in a 1200m turf handicap at Fontainebleau on 7
November
4. MICOLEO – Won back-to-back PSF handicaps over 1300m at Deauville in December but has
struggled (unplaced) off this mark in both starts since – latest over 1400m on 19 January. Could do
better with 1,5kg off the back
5. MAAVAH – An honest veteran mare who has already proven her competitiveness on this course
and at this level. Finished 5th in a 1300m handicap at this venue on 9 December
6. MOWAEVA – Unreliable veteran performer who finished 3rd in a 1300m PSF handicap at
Cagnes on 11 February but 10th back at that venue in his last start over the same distance on 25
February. For lovers of outsiders
7. CRACK CITY – Won a 1500m PSF handicap at Deauville in December and has finished 3rd
twice in 4 subsequent starts, including his latest outing over 1300m on PSF at Cagnes on 17
February. Will tempt lovers of outsiders
8. TALLINSKI – An honest veteran with seven wins to his name from 92 appearances, albeit over
sprint distances and at a lower level on turf. Finished a modest 6th in a 1300m claimer on PSF at
Deauville on 18 November
9. LORD MONCHABLON – Won a 1400m PSF handicap at Deauville in November but has
struggled under a resultant penalty in six subsequent outings. Could only finish 11th in a 1600m
PSF handicap on this course on 15 February
10. HAPPY HUNTER – Finished a reassuring 4th off his current mark in a 1600m PSF handicap at
this venue on 9 February. Will be competitive if confirming that improvement
11. TOLLARD ROYAL – Returned to form off his current mark with a reassuring 4th at this level
over this course and distance on 2 February. Will fight for victory if confirming that improvement
12. ZIPPERE – Consistent mare with sound references on PSF and at this level, including a laststart over 1300m in PSF handicap at Deauville on 2 February. Has proven her competitiveness off
her current mark – keep safe
13. TOPINAMBUR – Unreliable veteran whose best references (all five wins) have been achieved
on turf. Was 6th in a 1400m turf handicap at Strasbourg in November but the booking of Cristian
Demuro catches the eye 14. PINK VALENTINE – Inconsistent mare but is not entirely incapable of getting into the picture
judged on her best references. Was 3rd in consecutive starts before a disappointing (12th) latest
over 1300m at Cagnes on 25 February
15. HYGROVE BEC – Versatile veteran mare with references on both surfaces, though is not as
sharp without blinkers fitted. Finished 8th on PSF over 1400m at Deauville when last seen on 4
November – for another day
16. VAUTRIN – Hard-knocking veteran who seldom finishes far off the mark but has no more than
a place chance here, having finished a well-beaten 11th in 1300m PSF handicap at Cagnes on 25
February. Others preferred
17. THE DIG – Finished 3rd in a 1300m claimer in his first start on PSF but unplaced in each of his
5 subsequent starts on this surface. Was 3rd in a 1200m turf handicap at Toulouse on 6 February
but best watched for now
Summary: TOLLARD ROYAL (11) dropped to his current mark when finishing an improved 4th in
a similar race over course and distance last time so, with Stéphane Pasquier engaged this time,
ought to confirm that progress. SHAMYA (1) has been impeccable in recent weeks and is likely to
fight for victory, along with ZIPPERE (12) whose last start (2nd) over this trip was encouraging.
FUCHSIA (2), who is at ease on PSF, and resurgent HAPPY HUNTER (10) also have the means
to play a leading role.
