MAGICAL RIVER showed a lot of improvement in her second start and could be ready to win. MILLON REASONS was not disgraced on debut and can contest the finish.

JET BUND was a disappointment last time but is clearly capable of better and should fight out the finish. ‘O CAPTAIN could improve and play a minor role. MASTER OF DEFENSE is threatening to win a race and should be in the mix. PIPER OF HAMELIN showed improvement last time around and could have more to offer.

Race Summary: A tough start to the Pick 6 and it is probably best to go wide and include many runners. MENTALITY MONSTER was not disgraced on local debut and should be even better this longer distance. PLAYER X was unreliable in KwaZulu-Natal but can win a race like this on local debut. MO FLO has been much improved of late but does go a lot further this time. WOLFRAM, JOE HARMAN and BELLE’S FIRST WAVE are all battling maidens but would not really be surprise winners of this weak race.

Race Summary: A competitive handicap and TRIP TO BARBERTON is in the last-chance category. She has run some nice races on the turf without winning but perhaps can get a winning turn soon. ON THE GUEST LIST is unreliable but ran well last time out and will be a serious threat. TRUMP MY QUEEN disappointed on the Polytrack last time out but can bounce back to score on the grass. GET IT DONE, LADY WRITER and TURNTHEBEATAROUND are three others worth considering in large permutations.

Race Summary: A competitive handicap but we did like the way PEDRO has finished off his races on the turf and gets the top choice. STORM COMMANDER is better than his last run would suggest but is badly drawn. AFRICA’S ROCK is holding form but needs to do more to win. MEETATTHEWINDSOR was a surprise winner last time out and the form has not really worked out but he is not one to be left out. WATCH TOWER and SLAINTE MHATH are two who could be better than their merit ratings suggest.

BUSH TRACKER has been best around this distance and can contest the finish. PRINCE OF FIRE is surely better than his last run would suggest and can go a lot closer this time. It is hard to see anything else winning, but MHLABENI is course-and-distance suited and could earn some minor money. INHERIT THE RAIN is not an easy ride but could play a minor role.

DAWN OF GOLD is holding her form well and can fight out the finish yet again. BEAU KALA was touched off last week by a much-improved runner so deserves the utmost respect. WHATABALL showed improvement in her latest start and could be the surprise package of the race.

WAR LAUNCH put in an improved performance last time out and can score off this merit-rating. GLOBAL GODDESS is consistent and should be right there at the finish yet again. WE ALL CHOMIES would prefer it a little bit further but can earn some money.
