R1 – PRIX DE NAY – 2000m (a1m 1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 21,000
1. SHERKANE – Caught the eye finishing third on debut over 2000m at Durtal but in late December.
Should run fresh after the layoff and is an outsider with a say
2. WELCOMETORO – Placed fourth over 2000m at Pau on the 25th of last month and can get
closer now. Strong place chance
3. LEGENDS BERE – Would be a shock result. Finished way back in thirteenth in a claiming race
at this track over 2000m on the 12th of December. Unlikely
4. KIND OF STAR – Is a tad off form, finished fifth over 1700m at Marseille Borely on the 31st of
October last year. Will probably need this run. Outside place chance
5. TREFLE VOLANT – Finished sixth on the 20th of January but ran a cracker before that in second
over 1950m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer. Progressive. More to come. The horse to be with. Win
6. ALMANSUR – Placed four from four, finished fourth over 2000m at this track on the 2nd of
January and should be very competitive. Strong each way claims
7. HAGET – Made a sparkling debut at this track on the 25th of January over 2000m finishing a
great third. Scope to improve and should go very close. Big runner
8. MERCURIUS – Is a son of Postponed out of Matauri Jewel whom was a two time winner. Watch
the betting trends
9. TOPSTAR – Son of The Grey Gatsby out of a Al Namix mare that might need a run or two to
tighten up. Watch the betting as race time looms
10. ICONIC STARS – Son of Cloth Of Stars making the debut and could find himself in the money.

Summary: TREFLE VOLANT (5) is lightly raced, has plenty scope and ran an absolute cracker in
his penultimate start. He makes his course debut, and with expected natural improvement to come,
could be difficult to get past. HAGET (7) made a smart debut at this track in late January and can
get much, much closer. Huge danger. ICONIC STARS (10) is a debutante by Cloth Of Stars out of
an Elusive City mare that could get into the action first up. Watch the betting trends. ALMANSUR
(6) has placed four from four, should win soon but for now has more of a place chance, than a
winning one.

1. GREENWOOD – Lightly raced, competing well, was a winner at Pau over 1600m in a Handicap
in penultimate and followed up with a third over 1600m. Huge chance
2. JONH SIX – Needs to build on latest sixth over 1600m in a Handicap at this course on the 19th
of December. Happy to ignore
3. ZALACAIN – Is hard to fancy, finished eighth over 1500m in a Handicap at Deauville on the 16th
of December. Pass by for today
4. GOLDENSIM – Took time for the first victory which came over 2000m at this track on the 2nd of
February in a Handicap. Selected to follow up. Win choice
5. MAIMOUNA – Include in larger quartet perms. Finished eighth over 1600m at this course on the
12th of January. Small place chance
6. PIANO MAN – Finished seventh over 1600m in Handicap class on the 12th of January and will
need to improve off that. Hard to fancy
7. AQUILON – Solid form, solid chance. Placed a creditable third over 1600m at Toulouse in
Handicap class on the 2nd of November last year. Can race fresh. Place chance
8. EUREKA – Was way back in the field in fourteenth place over 1600m in a Handicap at this track
on the 19th of December. Hard to fancy
9. DABIRADJA – Never far off the winners, finished eighth over 1400m in a Handicap last time and
can improve on that. Quartet suggestion
10. MONCAYO – Form is a tad erratic and will need progression on recent fifth over 1700m at
Pornichet on the 30th of January. Others preferred
11. WABAL – Finished seventh over 1400m at Mont-De-Marsan on the 5th of July last year and
should surely need this run. Happy to dismiss from all bets
12. MURANO – Placed fourth over 1600m at this course in a Handicap on the 12th of January and
can get much closer this time. Strong claims and a must for all bets
13. ALWAYS ON TIME – Ignore last run when thirteenth, judge on penultimate when second over
1600m in a Handicap at Pau on the 19th of December. Big place chance
14. BERGANO – Has shown nothing thus far, finished ninth in a claims race at Clairefontaine over
1400m in October last year. Ignore
Summary: GOLDENSIM (4) tested our patience for the maiden victory but did it last time in fine
style at the twenty second time of asking. He won a Handicap over 2000m at this very venue and
is selected to follow up. GREENWOOD (1) is lightly raced, making it well known recently that he is
progressive and cannot be taken lightly. He is a huge danger to the first choice. MURANO (12) has
been featuring fairly well in competitive Handicaps and has a strong place chance. ALWAYS ON
TIME (13) can be forgiven for the last performance and given an outside quartet squeak.

R3 – PRIX DE COARRAZE – 2000m (a1m 1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 21,000
1. AL AAMRIYA – Placed fourth in both starts, last time was over 2000m at this track on the 25th
of January. More needed for the win but can place
2. RAYO DE LUZ – Placed second in penultimate run, finished fifth last time over 2000m on the
25th of January. Good chance but prefer others for the win
3. FOSFORITA – Placed eighth on debut over 1400m on the 26th of January but will need huge
improvement on that to threaten. Pass by
4. BLUE CHANEL – An outsider that needs huge improvement. Finished only twelfth over 2000m
on the 25th of January. Hard to fancy
5. PRINCESS OF HEART – Lightly raced, will need to build on ninth place over 2000m on the 1st
of December last year. Others preferred
6. BATMOUN – Excellent debut when showing up in fourth over 1400m at this venue on the 26th
of January. Plenty scope to improve and can go very close. Serious contender
7. VILLA DES ARTS – Improving with racing and quickly but is returning from a rest. Excellent run
on the 2nd of November last year when second at Lyon Parilly over 2000m. Each way chance
8. DIANE SPIRIT – Scope to build on debut seventh over 2000m at this course on the 25th of
January. Strong place chance
9. MONA MALPIC – Can improve on debut sixth at this course over 1600m on the 8th of January.
Expect a lot more and include in the trifecta. Strong place claims
10. EAGLE MOUNT – Lightly raced, a tad erratic, placed fourth over 2000m in Handicap class at
this track on the 26th of January. Big runner
11. LUCKY LADY – Will need to improve on debut ninth over 2000m at Pau on the 2nd of January.
Small place chance if improving
12. KASPIA TRIP – She finished seventh on debut over 1600m at Bouscat on the 17th of
September and has not been seen since. Likely to need and unlikely to win
13. ES XARCU – Looks to be talented, finished third over 1600m at the second time of asking at
this track on the eighth of January. Could be hard to oppose
14. ALOVEMINE – Was fourth in a claiming race over 2000m at this course on the 12th of January.
Could be the value for the quartet
15. LA DIVA DU MAUPAS – Daughter of Morandi out of a Kheleyf mare that will more than likely
need the run. Watch the betting market but Unlikely on debut
16. LUNA LUPA – Daughter of Time Test out of a Giant’s Causeway mare that more than likely will
need the run. In saying that, best check the betting trends before taking bets
Summary: ES XARCU (13) is a lightly raced filly that seems to have progression and talent aplenty.
She has shown potential in both runs to date and could be very difficult to beat in this. She could
present as a possible banker. VILLA DES ARTS (7) ran the best race of his career last time when
improving a ton to finish second. He is a huge runner and the immediate danger to the first choice.
DIANE SPIRIT (8) has scope to build on her debut seventh and can be expected to get a lot closer.
BATMOUN (6) is a must for most bets based on her outstanding first up performance. She could
be absolutely anything.
