when last seen. Leading contender
2. MOONFLIGHT – Unplaced last time, 4th before that on January 20th at this track over 2400m
in a Class 4 race. Others preferred
3. RIDWAAN – Fair 2nd over 2150m in a Class 4 race on February 7th when last racing. Ought to
be thereabouts

be overlooked

racing. Makes limited appeal
9. YELLOWBLUE – 2nd two runs ago over 2400m at this track in a Class 4 race on January 20th.
Not the most reliable
10. L’ENFANT TERRIBLE – Has several unplaced runs, the latest over 2150m at this track on
February 7th. Hard to fancy

Summary: DEFINED (4) could be the best option for this claiming event. He was second at
Seville last time and can shade this from FORBIDDEN SECRET (1) who will be full of confidence
after a win on January 20th at this track over 2400m. RIDWAAN (3) is one for the each-way
players to take seriously and should be involved at the business end. GANIBET (6) is capable in
these type of races and should not be overlooked.

SELECTIONS
DEFINED (4) – FORBIDDEN SECRET (1) – RIDWAAN (3) – GANIBET (6)

R2 – PRIX HENRI ROSSI – 2000m (a1m 1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Class 2 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 53,000

1. CELESTIN – Good 2nd at Pau over 2000m in a Class 2 race on January 2nd when last racing.
Each way angle
2. BEMER – 4th at this track on January 21st over 1600m in a Class 1 race when last racing.
Outside place chance
3. SWISS BANK – Won at Pau over 2000m in a Class 3 race on January 14th when last
appearing. Ought to have a say
4. SAINT HELLIER – 4th last time at this track on January 27th over 2000m in a Listed race. One
to watch closely
5. BOSIOH – Has dropped with some unplaced runs to a lower mark than when he won over
1600m at Saint-Cloud in mid-June in a Class 2 race. Can get back on track
6. MAX VERST – 4th last time in a claimer at this track on February 1st over 2000m. Others make
more appeal

8. WOFF – Won last time over 1600m on January 29th at this track in a Class 3 handicap. Others
rate higher
9. LORENZO DE MEDICI – Fair 4th over 2500m at Deauville in a Class 2 handicap on January
5th when last seen. In the mix
10. ROYAL RIGHT – Won nicely at this track on February 1st over 2000m in a Class 4 race. Can
be involved again
11. RASCALLION – Unplaced last time after a hat-trick of wins with the latter of them over 2400m
on November 30th in a Class 3 race. In the handicapper’s grip
12. NOSDARGENT – Won last time at this track in a Class 3 handicap on January 27th over
2000m. Might need to drop a few kilo’s to be competitive
13. WHITE WHISKY – 5th last time in a Class 4 race at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on February 1st over
2000m. Consider
14. JACKSUN – Has four unplaced runs of late since a 2nd placed effort over 2400m in a Class 3
handicap at Lyon La Soie in October. Others preferred
15. ALPAGE – Won a Class 4 race at this track on January 23rd over 1600m when last racing.
Looks vulnerable
16. KHOCHENKO – 4th last time over 2000m in a Class 3 handicap at this track on January 27th.
Capable and one to watch closely

Summary: BOSIOH (5) scored at Saint-Cloud in the summer of 2023 and has dropped in the
weights after a few unplaced runs, off a very similar handicap he can score at nice odds. ROYAL
RIGHT (10) could be the main danger, he scored at this track when last seen in a less
competitive race and needs more but is more than capable. KHOCHENKO (16) is the each-way
option after a credible fourth last time at this venue. LORENZO DE MEDICI (9) heads the
remainder.

SELECTIONS
BOSIOH (5) – ROYAL RIGHT (10) – KHOCHENKO (16) – LORENZO DE MEDICI (9)

R3 – PRIX DES MAURES – 2150m (a1m 1/4) – TURF – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 23,000

1. VAL DE SEINE – Two unplaced runs of late, 2nd before that at Chantilly over 1900m on
October 31st in a claiming event. Consider
2. ZWEIG – Finished strongly when 2nd at Pau last month over 2000m in a maiden. Can play a
leading role
3. NIZAMABAD – Unplaced on both starts to date, the latter in a claimer over 2150m 14 days
ago. One to pass over
4. NORRIDOR – Last of 10 on his debut on the PSF 16 days ago over 2000m. Needs to show a
good deal of progress to have any say
5. HARRY GOLD – Unplaced on the sole run to date over 1800m on November 25th in a maiden.
Needs vast improvement to feature
6. MIRAGE DEUX – Unplaced over 2000m at Cagnes- Sur- Mer last time 16 days ago. Can
improve from that debut and make the frame
7. GABON – 5th on the PSF at this track 5 days ago over 1600m when not beaten far. Can make
an impact
8. ADORABLE – Only beat one other rival when unplaced on the sole run so far on the PSF 16
days ago. Makes limited appeal
9. MEAUTIS – 3rd over 1900m at Deauville in a maiden on his second outing last time on January
19th. Ought to be in the shake-up
10. MANLY – Fair 2nd over 1900m at Bordeaux Le Bouscat in a Class 2 race in mid-November
when last seen. Player

Summary: GABON (7) was not beaten far when he was fifth on the PSF 5 days ago at this track
and gets the marginal vote in this maiden from ZWEIG (2) who was given a fair bit to do by his
jockey last time when beaten a whisker into second place at Pau. Demuro takes over today and
he will make a bold show. MANLY (10) ran well when tackling a Class 2 race last time when he
was second and is sure to be in the mix as is MEAUTIS (9) who has plenty more to come.

SELECTIONS
GABON (7) – ZWEIG (2) – MANLY (10) – MEAUTIS (9)

R4 – PRIX DE L’ESTEREL – 2150m (a1m 1/4) – TURF – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 23,000

1. PRINCESS SHALAA – Nice debut 4th at this track on January 27th over 2000m. Can improve
a good deal for that experience and score
2. MILLION MILES AWAY – 5th on the PSF last time and a decent 4th before that at Le Mans
over 1950m in late October. In the mix
3. FINE ANYWAY – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 2000m in a claimer at this track 11
days ago. Hard to recommend

progressing and make the frame
5. SINDIA – 7th last time over 2150m in a maiden at this track at the end of January. Needs a few
to falter
6. MARGOT THE QUEEN – 5th last time was a better run than her debut, that was over 2150m at
this track 14 days ago. Can figure
7. CHINCHA ALTA – Fair 4th at this track in a maiden on January 20th over 2150m last time.
Merits consideration
8. BONNY WAY – Unplaced on the sole run to date at this track on January 21st over 1500m.
Unlikely
9. LUNA ROCK – Newcomer by U S Navy Flag, the dam was unraced. From a shrewd stable
who can ready a debutante. Monitor the betting for clues
10. BELHAD JELOIS – Newcomer by Alhadab, stable runners tend to improve for a run or two.
Sure to be better for this experience

Summary: PRINCESS SHALAA (1) made a pleasing debut 15 days ago at this track when
fourth. She can be much fitter for that outing and looks like the one to beat. MILLION MILES
AWAY (2) will do her best to make a race of it. She has experience and has shown she has
talent. CHINCHA ALTA (7) ran with promise when fourth last time and is one to consider each
way. TERRE BLANCHE (4) faired well at this venue when last seen and can not be ruled out.

SELECTIONS
PRINCESS SHALAA (1) – MILLION MILES AWAY (2) – CHINCHA ALTA (7) – TERRE
BLANCHE (4)

R5 – PRIX DE LA MENTHE POIVREE – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Class 4 Claiming – Flat – EUR € 16,000

1. RAIKU – Won over 1500m at Seville(ESP) when last seen in late January. One to pay attention
to
2. DRESSMAN – 3rd over 1950m at Dortmund (DEU) when last seen at the end of December.
Won before that at Koln (DEU) on October 28th. Player
3. PERDRIOLLE – Unplaced on the last two runs, won before that at Lyon La Soie over 2150m in
early December in a Class 3 handicap. Contender
4. JOSEPHINO – Good 2nd two runs ago over 1300m at Deauville in late August in a Class 1
race. Will be fit and ready after 6 months away from the track
5. ROI DE FLANDRE – Won over 1600m at this track in a Class 3 handicap when last appearing
in mid-January. Form pick
6. BLACK FALCON – 4th last time out over 2000m on the PSF on January 9th in a Class 3
handicap. Lightly raced and has more to come
7. APOLLON – Four unplaced runs of late, won before that at Vichy over 2000m in a Class 4 race
in late August. Unlikely

Makes limited appeal
11. TOTAL KNOCKOUT – Non Partant
12. SO GOLD – 6th last time over 1300m in a Class 4 event at this track at the end of January.
Hard to recommend
13. ANNASHABA – Unplaced in the sole run to date at this track over 2000m in a Class 4 race on
February 1st. Avoidable
14. NICOLASA – Has four unplaced runs since a 2nd on her debut over 1600m in November
2022. Makes limited sense
15. DENIA – 6th last time at this track in a Class 4 event on February 1st over 2000m. Others
seem more likely

Summary: JOSEPHINO (4) has had a break of almost 6 months away from the racecourse. He
will be fit and ready to go and his second placed effort in August over 1300m at Deauville in a
Class 1 race was a solid run. If emulating that performance he will be hard to beat. DRESSMAN
(2) could be the main threat after a credible third at Dortmund in late December. ROI DE
FLANDRE (5) is one to include in all of the place bets. RAIKU (1) is capable and should be on the
premises.

SELECTIONS
JOSEPHINO (4) – DRESSMAN (2) – ROI DE FLANDRE (5) – RAIKU (1)
