1. KERAN – Highly regarded colt who won on debut over 1100m at Tarbes before finishing 2nd at
Toulouse over 1200m on 23 October. Could pay to follow
2. ARIGATO – Last-start winner and the highest-rated runner in the race. Has changed hands after
winning a claimer over 1600m on this course 30 January
3. REVERSO – Consistent for the most part and has not finished far off the mark in either outing
this year after a 4-month absence. Finished 6th in a 1300m turf handicap at Deauville on 29 January
4. DAIQUIBERRY – Talented filly with the form and experience to fight for victory. Finished 5th in
a 1000m Group III last year as a two-year-old and finished 4th in her first start on PSF and over
1300m at Deauville on 19 January
5. NOVA KEN – Improving filly with sufficient means to stake a claim in a race/field of this nature,
having finished 6th in a competitive Class 2 race last time over 1500m at this venue on 15 January
Summary: Well-related KERAN (1) showed his quality as a two-year-old last year, winning on
debut before finishing 2nd when last seen in October, and it could pay to follow his progress on his
reappearance. Fifth in a 1000m Group 3 last year, DAIQUIBERRY (4) didn’t go unnoticed when
finishing 4th on her reappearance last month over this distance in her first start on this surface and
is likely to pose a threat. NOVA KEN (5) acquitted herself well in a competitive Class 2 last time
(6th) and also has the means to play a leading role. ARIGATO (2) completes the shortlist.

24 January. Could do better over this shorter distance
2. BOZA – Has to be ridden cold and delivered late, so needs the race run to suit. Runner-up over
1600m in a Class 3 PSF handicap on this course on 29 January but held up until too late on that
occasion. Winning chance
3. WHY CHOPE – Last-start winner over a PSF handicap on this course over 1300m on 10 January.
Will be stretched by this distance under a 2,5kg penalty
4. MOON FLOWER – Consistent filly with sound references, which include finishing 3rd in her only
visit to this course and a 3rd at Marseille-Vivaux in a Class 4 handicap on PSF on 9 January. Has
leading claims
5. PRINCE GEORGE – Finished 7th of 9 in a 1500m maiden on turf at this venue on 23 January.
Could get into the picture
6. SIGLO DE ORO – Was only 11th of 13 in the race won by WHY CHOPE (3) over 1300m on 10
January but is 3kg better off and does have a good record on this course at this time of the year.
WIll be competitive
7. TAG – Didn’t go unnoticed when 6th of 16 in a Class 3 handicap on this course on 5 February.
Place chance
8. LIMONCELLA – Finished a well-beaten 6th of 8 in a Class 4 claimer on the turf at this course
over 1500m on 1 February. Others preferred
9. MEHANYDREAM – Was not beaten far when 10th of 13 in a Class 3 turf handicap over 1500m
at this venue on 5 February. Has no more than a place chance
Summary: BOZA (2) will need the race run to suit but possesses a formidable finishing burst which
is likely to be good enough to account for this field. MOON FLOWER (4), who has performed
impeccably in recent weeks, wouldn’t be winning out of turn either and is likely to fight for victory.
SIGLO DE ORO (6) is used to winning races on this course at this time of year so could pose a
threat too. Last-start winner WHY CHOPE (3) may be stretched by this distance but also has the
means to play a role in the finish.

2. SKIMBLESHANKS – Wasn’t beaten far when finishing in midfield (8th) of 15 runners in a
handicap over course and distance on 20 January. Outsider
3. GET TOGETHER – Overcame an unfavorable trip to open her account on 20 January over course
and distance on 20 January. Ought to remain competitive under 2,5kg penalty
4. RECREATE – Finished 15th of 15 in a course-and-distance handicap on 20 January. Others
make more appeal
5. MALYA – Was a close-up 5th of 8 in a Class 3 handicap over track and trip on 30 January. Can
get into the picture
6. FASHION GREY – Has improved in 2 starts this year, finishing 2nd in both outings at this venue.
Was 2nd to GET TOGETHER (3) from a wide draw over track and trip on 20 January and could
turn the table here
7. SAIL ON – Finished a close-up 3rd in a field of 8 in a Class 3 handicap over 2000m on this course
on 30 January. Dark horse
8. DALKAVA – Stayed on well to finish 5th of 15 in the benchmark race on 20 January over course
and distance. Ought to get closer to GET TOGETHER (3) and FASHION GRAY (6)
9. ROSE D’ETE – Consistent sort with sound references, including a creditable 9th of 15 in the
benchmark race over course and distance, when she ought to have finished closer. Not taken lightly
Summary: FASHION GRAY (6) has finished 2nd in both starts on this course this year and will
open his account sooner rather than later. He was runner-up to GET TOGETHER (3) from a wide
draw last time but is good value to turn the tables on that rival on these weight terms. DALKAVA
(8) finished a close-up 5th in that race and is likely to pose a threat too. ROSE D’ETE (9) can get
closer, while SAIL ON (7) isn’t without a chance either.

1. FORCE TRANQUILLE – Consistent mare who recently showed her form at a higher level,
finishing 5th over 2000m in a handicap on this course. on 27 January. Keep safe
2. ROSISSIM – Consistent performer with sound references on both turf and PSF. Was not
disgraced when finished 6th on this course over 2000m on 30 January
3. GOOD QUESTION – Well-performed veteran in good form and physical condition. Runner-up in
back-to-back starts on turf at this venue last month – latest over 2500m on 30 January – so has
leading claims on PSF under Florent Guy
4. LIFE’S A BREEZE – An honest veteran who is seldom far off the mark but is more effective on
turf. Finished 8th over this track and trip on 20 January
5. DREAM OF EMERAUDE – Consistent for the most part and should appreciate reverting to PSF
after finishing 4th over 2000m on this surface at Marseille two starts back. Was 7th over in a 2150m
turf handicap at this venue on 23 January
6. ZEPHYR DE LA MARE – Inconsistent and remains a maiden but does have the joint-highest
rating of the runners in this race. Was 11th in a turf handicap over 2500m on 1 February but could
do better back on this surface
7. RAGGIO BIANCO – Modest veteran with just 1 win to his name from 45 appearances. Finished
14th in a 1900m PSF handicap at Deauville on 12 January
8. TORINOBELLO – Made no impression in his only start on this surface but did win a 2500m
handicap on turf last time at this venue on 1 February. Up 2kg for that win and is back on PSF now
9. RHEBOK – Maiden filly whose only reference on PSF was a debut 9th at Lyon-La Soie. Finished
8th in a turf handicap over 2500m at this venue on 1 February
10. REBEL D’ANS – Inconsistent veteran who has won over course and distance off a higher mark.
Not seen since finishing 5th over 2200m on turf at Amiens on 21 September
11. MY FLINDERS – Improved off her current mark to finish 3rd in a PSF handicap over 1800m at
Lyon-La Soie on 24 January. Must confirm
Summary: GOOD QUESTION (3) has finished 2nd in consecutive outings on turf at this venue
recently so is a serious candidate for victory reverting to PSF with Florent Guy engaged to ride.
TORINOBELLO (8), who the capable Jonathan Plassard rides, was a winner on turf recently and
could challenge if proving himself as effective on PSF. ZEPHYR DE LA MARE (6) should not be
condemned for his last performance and remains capable of staking a claim in a race of this nature,
especially with headgear now fitted. FORCE TRANQUILLE (1) is not without a chance either.

1. LORD OF THE ALPS – Soundly beaten in both starts this year at this venue – finished 10th on
PSF in a claimer over 2000m before finishing 9th over 2500m in a turf handicap on 30 January.
Outsider
2. JOEY UP – Returned to form last time with headgear refitted, finishing 4th over this course and
distance. Ought to be competitive if confirming that improvement
3. SHAMSABAD – Encountered traffic problems when finishing 10th in a handicap on the turf over
2500m at this venue on 30 January. Confirmed in this category and proven over course and
distance, he ought to fight for victory
4. SCENARISTE – Consistent veteran mare who has proven her form and well-being in recent
weeks. Finished 2nd over track and trip in a similar contest on 29 January and should have a role
to play here
5. GLACIER PEAK – Capable but currently out of sorts in handicaps – finished 7th in a 2000m PSF
handicap on 27 January. Not taken lightly dropped into this grade
6. CARLO BIRAGHI – Made a winning start on French soil over 3000m on turf at Fontainebleau
but has finished unplaced in his five subsequent starts – was 10th over 2150m on turf at Cagnes
on 5 February. Making his first start on PSF
7. MANDLYX LOVE – Made no impression on debut when finishing 13th over 2000m in a PSF
claimer n this course. Can be ruled out
8. QUIEN SABE – Lightly raced Nathaniel colt who was 5th on debut here over 2150m before
finishing 6th on turf at this venue over 2500m on 30 January. Making his debut in the claiming
category and on this surface
9. PALATINA – This well-travelled mare is the highest-rated runner in the race with sound
references at this level. Was 5th in the benchmark race on 29 January in her first start on PSF
10. MANADA – Finished 3rd behind SCENARIST (4) in the reference race over course and distance
on 29 January. Will be a factor
Summary: In four starts on this course, SHAMSABAD (3) has won and finished 2nd three times.
He has not been at his best/happiest of late on turf but retains sufficient means to win a race of this
nature reverting to PSF. However, SCENARIST (4) and MANADA (10), who finished 2nd and 3rd
respectively over track and trip on 29 January, are also likely to fight for victory. JOEY UP (2) was
4th in that benchmark race and ought to make his presence felt too.
