Race Summary: Small fields throughout the day but it has not made this card any easier. PISTOL PETE looked good on debut and could follow up. ADDRESS THE NATION found his best stride late and could have more to offer. Trainer Johan Janse van Vuuren has won many races with newcomers against winners so do not be surprised if that is the case with CYMRIC. The Vercingetorix colt makes his debut but would not be a surprise winner. FINAL TRY did not show much on debut but is capable of improvement. VALIEVA makes her debut in a tough race.

Race Summary: EMBLEM OF THE SUN found betting support on debut but showed signs of inexperience. She is likely to be a lot smarter in her second start. YOU BRING ME JOY has shown good improvement in each start and won a nice race last time out so is sure to be right there at the finish once again. INTRO has been fair in both starts but does need to find a few lengths to win the race. JET SET LADY makes her debut but could be ready for this. PEACE OF MIND showed vast improvement in her second starts and should fight out the finish.

Race Summary: Those who have run are only average so it may pay to be with Mike de Kock-trained Silvano newcomer ROWYAANA. Progeny of this sire gets better as they age and go over further but she is likely to be a natural if running this distance. DHOW SOLO disappointed last time out but she may still prove best of those who have raced. ENCHANTING LADY has run well enough in her last two starts to be a lively danger. There are three other newcomers carded and What A Winter filly WINTER IN PARIS might surprise.

Race Summary: A weak race and anything is possible. STREWN SKY has been fair in two starts and could be the best of them but he is returning from a lengthy break and his fitness will need to be taken on trust. The Sean Tarry-trained pair of AND ACTION and VAN MEIJEL have been disappointing so far but could be up to winning a race like this. CAPTAIN BARBOSA has been disappointing in four starts but is back sprinting and could be the surprise package of the race. GREEN FAME is bred for further but returns from a break and may have strengthened up enough to be a threat.

Race Summary: VOLARE E MAMBO has run two promising races so far over a bit shorter and should be better suited to this 1800m so could be the right one. DONNA MO is holding form and could contest the finish again trying a bit further. ARCTIC VIXEN is holding her form but does tend to lack a strong finishing kick. The last run from DARLING HARBOUR is best ignored so she should be right there at the finish. CITY LIGHTS and DYNAMIC LASS may have to do a bit more to win but are capable of taking home some money.

Race Summary: MARAUDING HORDE has been expensive to follow so far but has only found one better in both his starts. His debut effort was good and he should be hard to beat. DARK SILVER was a bit of a disappointment last time out over the 2000m but could do better over this shorter distance. FORCE DE DIEU has been holding form and can contest the finish yet again. REMAINS OF THE DAY is holding form and deserves some respect. JUDGEMENT DAY is very one paced but does have a place chance. IRISH LOVE showed improvement last time out and is a danger to these rivals.

Race Summary: BARBARESCO showed us what he is capable of when chasing home Main Defender last time out. He is clearly the one to beat but it is worth noting that he has run by far his best races in defeat. SILENT WAR has been much improved this season since blinkers were removed and he will be a threat under top weight. HOME OF THE BRAVE picked up a six-point penalty for his latest win which does look a hard sentence. FUNKY MUSIC is holding form well and did win the last time he went this distance. TIRPITZ has won over this distance and is coming off a good last run. JUST NUISANCE is hat-trick seeking but is another carrying a six-point penalty for a narrow last win.

Race Summary: Some competitive races to end the card. SILVER TUDOR does not always show his best, but he did last time out and could follow up in a tougher race. MOONSHININGTHROUGH is holding form and deserves a win but it will not be easy as she will need to shake off many challengers. I AM GIANT was a bit of a disappointment on a soft track last time out but could bounce back to score. AUSSENKEHR has been disappointing in his last two efforts but is clearly not out of it. MOUNT PILATUS is consistent and would be foolish not to put him in all the exotics. MAX THE MAGICIAN returns from a break but could be the surprise package of the race.

Race Summary: MID WINTER WIND quickened nicely to win his maiden recently and is clearly improving and may have the scope to deal with these rivals. CORNWALL was a disappointment when only fourth last time out but is capable of better and is a danger. THERE SHE GOES is improving but this is a tougher task for her. WHAT A TIGER seems at best at the Vaal but does also run some good races at this track so cannot be ignored completely. PONTIAC was a bit unlucky last time and blinkers for the second time could do the trick with him.
