1. LAZZAT – This Jérôme Reynier-trained Territories gelding is the foal out of his dam, Lastochka.
Must be respected
2. BRUANT – Le Havre colt out of a mare whose progeny to have run on a French racecourse have
all won. Not taken lightly
3. ALMAGUER – Well-bred Zarak colt acquired for €150,000 last spring. One of the more likely
types here with Cristian Demuro engaged to ride
4. ROOFTOP – Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Le Havre gelding, who cost €75,000 in August 2022.
out of Listed winner Lbretha. Keep safe
5. MAITRE DU JEU – Harry Angel colt trained by Fabrice Vermeulen, who has engaged Baptiste
Hobart to ride. Can get into the picture
6. FAST TRACKER – Churchill colt to be ridden on debut by Tony Piccone for trainer Henri-Alex
Pantall. Not one to be underestimated
Summary : Jean-Claude Rouget saddles three of the six runners in this opening event for unraced
three-year-old colts and geldings so could hold the key to success. Preference, however, is for
well-bred Zarak colt ALMAGUER (3) who is probably the stable elect with Cristian Demuro
engaged. LAZZAT (1) represents the formidable Jérôme Reynier stable and, as such, cannot be
underestimated. He could emerge a bigger threat to the selection, whose stable companions
ROOFTOP (4) and BRUANT (2) are bred to be useful and likely to acquit themselves on debut.

1. INATTENDU – Recently changed stables following his easy last-start success at Lyon-La Soie
in this grade. Should have a role to play
2. POUP’S – Consistent for the most part and was not beaten a long way when finishing 5th in a
claiming race at Marseille-Vivaux last time. Keep safe
3. MALLORCA SUN – Unreliable but seldom finishes far off the mark on a going day. Could get
into the picture here if judged on his best references
4. GO JOHNNY GO GO GO – Has never finished worse than 5th in her 12 outings at this level, so
is likely to be competitive once more
5. SELKET – Inconsistent and was disappointing last time, though did have excuses that day.
Cannot be written off
6. QUEEN KAHINA – Was only narrowly beaten, having led for much of the way, when finishing a
reassuring 2nd in a similar contest last time. Will be a factor with a repeat of that performance
7. BALAGAN – Showed signs of improvement/a return to form when finishing 5th last time. Has to
build on that effort to find the frame here
8. IRBIS – Out of sorts and is not likely to trouble the judge here on the evidence of his recent
displays. Others preferred
9. MAFALDA STORY – Has already won at this venue and recently finished an encouraging 4th in
a benchmark race at Marseille-Vivaux. Winning chance
10. ZAVADREAM – Unreliable although not incapable of getting a look in here judged on her best
references. Outsider
Summary : Veteran mare MAFALDA STORY (9) has rediscovered her form dropped to her current
rating and has won at this course before, so is good value to make a winning return to the claiming
division. INATTENDU (1) is a specialist in this category and ought to acquit himself competitively
in his first start for Guillaume Courbot, so could fight for victory. QUEEN KAHINA (6) finished a
reassuring 2nd in a benchmark race at Marseille-Vivaux last time so is also expected to play a
leading role if confirming that improvement. POUP’S (2) is another capable of staking a claim here.

2. ROXANA OF CECCA – Perrine Cheyer, with the benefit of a 1,5kg allowance, rides this Bow
Creek filly on debut for François-Xavier Belvisi
3. JIJI MY LOVE – Bow Creek debutante to be ridden by Benjamin Marie for trainer François-Xavier
Belvisi. Best watched for now
4. BATAREIKA – This Georgios Alimpinisis-trained De Treville filly is probably one to keep an eye
on for now. Frederic Ferdig-Zimmermann rides
5. PARVA SCURRA – This Practical Joke filly of American origins represents the formidable stable
of Jean-Claude Rouget. Keep safe
6. DELPHINE – One of three Jean-Claude Rouget runners in the race. Coralie Pacaut rides from a
good draw with a 1,5kg allowance
7. CORALBA – Dabirsim debutante to make note of with Maxime Guyon engaged to ride for trainer
Christophe Escuder
8. HERA – Shalaa filly likely to have her supporters here with Ioritz Mendizabal engaged to ride
her for trainer Fabrice Vermeulen
9. CHIARANIYA – This daughter of Toronado will be ridden on debut by Hugo Besnier for trainer
Edouard Monfort. Outsider
10. LAURE MANCINI – Fabrice Vermeulen-trained Dabirsim filly acquired for €50,000. She is the
full sister to talented Célestin and was supplemented to run here
11. QUITE RIGHT TOO – This daughter of Invincible Army will be ridden on debut by Jacky Nicoleau
for trainer Nicolas Caullery
12. LA PERRALIERE – Zarak debutante to be ridden by Baptiste Hobart for trainer Fabrice
Vermeulen. Dangerous to discount
13. BONNY WAY – Didier & Pauline Prod’homme-trained Galiway filly, who is closely related to La
Mandola, has been pleasing connections in her work back home. Beware
14. ALBINE – Well-bred New Bay filly acquired for €62,000 at auction. Will likely garner plenty of
interest on debut
15. DARI RIVER – Yann Barberot-trained Dariyan filly making her debut with Anthony Crastus
engaged to ride. Dark horse
16. COEUR D’ARGENT – This well-related Masar debutante is a niece of the speedy Group I
winner Brando. Will attract attention
Summary : Well-bred COEUR D’ARGENT (16), who is related to Group I winner Brando, has an
attractive pedigree and could be worth siding with in this event for unraced three-year-old fillies.
Jean-Claude Rouget’s charge, who is one of three in the race from the stable, is likely to fight for
victory with another well-bred newcomer in ALBINE (14), a daughter of New Bay. AL MINYA (1)
and BONNY WAY (13) have revealed ability on the tracks in the mornings, so are others to consider
for the leading places.

1. WILD CITY – Finished 2nd and ahead of LOUIS DE LA KLAUSS (2) over 1500m two starts back
but had those placings reversed last time. Ought to play another leading role despite this drop in
distance
2. LOUIS DE LA KLAUSS – Was only narrowly beaten by WILD CITY (1) when finishing 3rd last
month last month and has since turned the tables on that rival. Could confirm that form with victory
here
3. INKARA – Twice finished 5th in three outings across the Channel. Remains open to improvement
so has to be taken seriously in her first start on French soil
4. BELLAELO – Has been unreliable of late but did finish 2nd three starts back, so could have a
role to play here on that form
5. DASHKA – Seldom far off the mark on her best form but has been relatively inconsistent to this
point. Outsider
6. ROAST CHESTNUT – Inconsistent but has shown enough to be competitive in a race of this
nature. More of a place chance than a winning one, though
7. ABIAT – Miroslav Rulec-trained Rio de la Plata debutante to be ridden by Fabrice Veron. Best
watched for now
Summary : LOUIS DE LA KLAUSS (2) and WILD CITY (1) are very closely matched on the form
of recent meetings over 1500m at Marseille-Vivaux. However, the drop back to this shorter trip is
likely to better suit the former who edges the verdict as a result. INKARA (3) isn’t taken lightly,
though, and could pose a threat in her first start on French soil. BELLAELO (4)’s experience should
stand him in good stead so he could have a role to play too.

1. PERLE ROUGE – Won a nice race at Listed level over 2000m last time out beating a useful field
and he will be competitive again. Include in the play
2. BEMER – Finished runner up two starts back but failed to follow it up with anything useful and
could find this out of his zone. One to pass by
3. WALLY – Well performed individual that has won twelve times already and looks to have more
wins in the tank following a facile win last time out over 1600m. Will go very close
4. NATIONAL SERVICE – This gelding has been tested at a reasonably high level and will
appreciate the drop in class which could see him find form again. Should run well
5. DAR TOUNGI – Arrives in solid form having won over 2000m at his most recent outing and is
very much on the up. Can make his presence felt
6. AZOV – Won over 2000m last time out at Class three level but rises in division and will find it
more challenging. Others make more appeal
7. ELECTORATE – Arrives in France having had four starts in the USA and tasted success over
1700m at Aqueduct. Will find it tougher
Summary : WALLY (3)is in terrific form and sets the standard on current form figures. Represents
a powerful combination and is the one to beat. NATIONAL SERVICE (4) drops in class and could
show what he is capable of against some useful rivals. PERLE ROUGE (1) is in some hardknocking form and the drop in trip should not be an issue so he’ll be right on top of them. DAR
TOUNGI (5) rises in class but seems to be capable and could could get involved.

1. MOONWALK STEP – Arrives in terrific form having won three times from his last four outings
but steps up in trip and has to carry 63.5kgs which won’t be easy. Vulnerable under top weight
2. BARBADIN – This gelding has not been at his best for some time but continues to drop in the
ratings and drops in class which could make a big difference to his claims. Capable sort
3. FASHIONSPAN – Winner over this trip at her last two starts and could certainly be up for the rise
in division. Can go well
4. WINTERLAND – Comfortable winner of her last start over 3000m and now tries slightly further
which should be ideal. Should go close
5. VOILA POURQUOI – He ran a nice race four starts back when finishing 3rd and if able to
reproduce that form here, he could pose a threat. Each way chance
6. AUEN ADVENTURE – Finished 4th two starts back over 3000m and comes into this with a nice
light weight which could suit him. Winning chance
7. TURANIA – He has been runner up at his last two efforts and may struggle to turn the form
around with a reopposing rival. Others preferred
8. ANNA CARIBEA – Finished 3rd over 2500m last time out and now goes over extra yardage for
the first time in her career. Others make more appeal
9. MIXOLOGIST – Finished 6th in his first outing for 2024 and he will need to show big improvement
if he is to challenge. One to pass by
Summary : AUEN ADVENTURE (6) slots in light and looks to be a major player with some fair
form to his name at this level. BARBADIN (2) has been disappointing but could bounce back to
form against this lot. WINTERLAND (4) won very well and can only build on that performance.
VOILA POURQUOI (5) is capable of getting involved if putting his best foot forward.

1. HAYEJOHN – Arrives in solid, consistent form and comes right into the race with the apprentice
claiming 1.5kgs. Bold bid expected
2. MAMAMOUCHI – This filly is in a very good space at present and continues to run good races
which should see her competing strongly again. Include in the play
3. RED CHARM – This filly hasn’t been at her best for some time and will need to show a new side
of herself before her supporters give up. One to pass by
4. SIDEDREAM – Showed very good improvement when running an absolute cracker to finish 2nd
and shouldn’t have an issue with the drop in trip. Winning chance
5. WRONG COLOUR – Finished 8th over 1500m and will need to do more in order to get involved
in this contest. Others make more appeal
6. AVERSA – Finished 14th four days ago and needs to show a lot more to pose a threat now down
in trip. Hard to fancy
7. ETERNEL – This colt is steadily dropping in the ratings and his last win came at this venue but
isn’t one to fancy on current form. Hard to recommend
8. BELL SONG – She has finished 5th in her last two efforts but is nicely weighted here which could
see her run a positive race. Each way chance
9. TELL ME WHY – Finished a fair 4th over 1500m at his most recent effort and slots in light which
is an advantage. Upset type
10. SYMBOLE – Seldom far off the action and is dropping in the ratings but isn’t one that stands
out as a potential winner. Outside place chance
11. WAZIERS – Remains a maiden after twenty one outings but is seldom far off the action and
should get involved for the minor money. Place claims
12. RISKI CHOPE – Finished 2nd two starts back but failed to produce similar last time out which
shows her inconsistency. One to pass by
Summary : SIDEDREAM (4) bounced back to some of her better form with a pleasing 2nd last
time out and can build on that performance. HAYEJOHN (1) has got encouraging form and gets a
slight relief off his back with the apprentice aboard. MAMAMOUCHI (2) brings the right credentials
into this and should be right on top of them at the line. WAZIERS (11) is honest and not one to
discount for the places.

R8 – PRIX DE SERANON – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 38.000
1. CAMBRONNE – This colt is very talented and has won seven times. He won his last start over
1900m and will be looking to add to that win tally. One to beat
2. IFACH – Finished fairly close up in 6th position last time out but will need to up his game if he is
to pose a threat to this lot. Easy to oppose
3. KOVROV – He has done all of his racing over 1600m and has been tested at a useful level which
holds him in good stead here. One of the leading lights
4. IZASTEP – Finished 7th last time out over 2000m and will need to do a bit more on that
performance to have a chance of earning. Others make more appeal
5. LE SAGE – He has won twice and been super consistent in his career thus far so could likely get
involved for the minor positions. Place chance
6. DHANGADHI – Finished 2nd in his first effort for the year but now debuts in France and will have
his work cut out. Would be a surprise winner
7. A TASTE OF HONEY – Won with a bit in hand in her debut effort in France over 1400m but faces
tougher opponents and will be tested. Unlikely winner today
8. PIENSA EN MI – Finished 6th over 1600m at her most recent outing and wasn’t too far behind
the reopposing Kovrov but will need to show more. One to pass by
9. PRECIOUS SEA – This filly has been knocking on the door for that next win having been runner
up in three of her last four starts and will be hoping for a bit more luck. Should run well
Summary : CAMBRONNE (1) is thriving at present and sets a very high standard for his rivals to
aim at. KOVROV (3) could well be the immediate danger given that he is at home over this trip and
has solid form to work with. PRECIOUS SEA (9) meets Cambronne on 1kg better terms and could
get closer. LE SAGE (5) has been a model of consistency and could take the rise in class in his
stride.
