Progressive performer, GOLDEN KING, appears on track to break the winning drought in the 1500m Supreme B contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

GOLDEN KING has not won since March last year but is coming off successive minor placings at Group One level last month. The five-year-old caught the eye with a fast-finishing second-place finish in the 2000m G1 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor before a short head defeat in the 2000m G1 Penang Gold Cup last start.

GOLDEN KING is well-placed at the weights and looks like a genuine chance to atone this weekend.

UNLEASH THE DRAGON is on the six-day back up following his third placing last Saturday over 1200m. The gelding settled midfield in the run and closed off well, momentarily hitting the lead at one point in the home straight before weakening.

UNLEASH THE DRAGON hasn’t won for almost 11 months but comes off three successive minor placings and deserves to break through.
