1. HELIOPOLIS – Won 12 days ago beating one of today’s rivals by 1L, can be competitive again
despite a penalty for that success
2. ALESSANDRO – Two wins in October over 1850m at Agen and a decent 4th when last seen
over 1700m at Pornichet in December. Sets the standard
3. BEL ARISTO – Won a Class 3 race at Deauville when last seen in late December over 2500m.
In the mix
4. DEPUTY RULER – 3rd at Pornichet in a Class 3 handicap in early December over 2400m last
time. Others seem more likely
5. ROGUE ROCKET – Four unplaced runs of late, 2nd before that over 2000m at Salisbury
(GBR) in June. Makes limited appeal
6. SAISON FROIDE – Nice 2nd 12 days ago on the PSF in a Class 3 handicap over 2600m. Can
play a leading role
7. STONE DU LYS – Two runs so far both unplaced, the latest over 3100m in mid-December on
the PSF. Opposable
Summary : ALESSANDRO (2) won twice in October over 1850m at Agen and faired well when
last seen in December over 1700m at Pornichet when he was fourth. He gets the vote ahead of
SAISON FROIDE (6) who has been in good form herself having finished second over 2600m 12
days ago at Marseille Pont Vivaux in a Class 3 handicap. HELIOPOLIS (1) beat her in that
handicap 12 days ago by 1L and with a penalty the roles may be reversed. BEL ARISTO (3)
makes up the shortlist.

be overlooked
3. CADE’S – 2nd two starts ago at Agen in a Class 4 handicap over 1850m in late November.
One to consider
4. MILLIE LOU – 3rd at this track in a Class 3 handicap 12 days ago over 1600m. Bold show can
be expected
5. UNAMUNO – Has several unplaced runs since a win over 1400m at Dax in June. Needs to
bounce back to form
6. BLACK COSMO – Four unplaced efforts of late, 4th before that over 1600m in a claimer in
July. Others are more appealing
7. SHOWMAN – Three unplaced efforts of late, won before that at Vannes in a Class 4 race over
1500m in June. Hard to fancy
8. IMAGINE CHOP – Has five unplaced efforts, ran 3rd before that over 1200m at Dax in June.
Needs to get back to form
9. VIRIMOON ETOILE – 4th three starts ago over 1600m in a Class 4 handicap at this track in
early November. Unlikely
10. ATLANTA – Has been racing in Spain of late with some placed efforts. 2nd three runs ago
over 1500m in late September. In the mix
11. JUBILE – Will be better for a recent run after over a year’s absence. Won a maiden in 2022
over 1800m and was placed. Can feature in this class of race
12. BECHO – Two unplaced runs recently, 4th over 1400m in a Class 4 handicap at Le Mans
before that in November. Looks vulnerable
13. GOOD’ID – Four unplaced runs recently, 3rd at Tarbes before that over 1500m in a maiden in
October. Has work to do
Summary : JUBILE (11) is fragile having missed a year. A recent pipe-opener will have cleared
the cobwebs away and down in class he is the selection in a modest affair. ATLANTA (10) has
been racing in Spain of late with some placed outings and will be expected to give a good
account of herself. MILLIE LOU (4) is another to consider after a solid effort when third at this
track in a handicap last time. FULL GAIN (2) is worth a mention.
