Race Preview
R1 – PRIX D’IROULEGUY – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 21.000
1. WATHAB – Unplaced last time but has shown ability with two placed efforts over 1400m last
summer. Consider
2. CORONADO – Two placed efforts so far with the latter at this track over 1600m last month.
Leading chance
3. KISS ME JOHNNY – 6th in a claiming race over 1600m in September on the only run so far.
Best watched for now
4. CHAI D’OEUVRE – Two runs so far both at this track with the latest over 1600m in December
when unplaced. Makes limited appeal
5. SPIELMAN – Good debut 4th in May and although below par on the next run he has had a break
since July and will be fit to go
6. THOR LIGHTNING – Unplaced on the sole run at this track over 2000m in November. Needs
vast improvement to have a say
7. LEON DE BERCE – Has shown very little , the latest outing was over 1800m in late November
in a maiden. Hard to fancy
8. PORT GALLAND – 6th last time at this track over 1600m in a maiden in December. Can not be
ruled out
9. HOMME DE VALEUR – Has several unplaced runs, ran 4th over 1600m in October in a maiden,
which is the best on offer. Avoidable
Summary : CORONADO (2) has run with promise on both of his runs so far and faired well on the
track when third here in early December over 1600m. He gets the vote ahead of SPIELMAN (5)
who was below par last time but showed plenty on his debut in May when 4th over 1200m on turf.
WATHAB (1) has shown some ability and has been placed before. He could be the each-way
option. PORT GALLAND (8) looks best of the remainder.

1. FARIDA P – Won the last two runs, the latter at Mons Ghlin (BE) over 1500m in late December.
More required but warrants respect
2. JARIF – Has been in top form of late with two wins and placed form as well. Won a Group 3 AP
race at Milan(Italy) when last seen in October. Leading chance
3. CHOUF THE STAR – 4th at this track last time over 2400m in December. Has work to do to be
involved
4. RYSK TOUT – 3rd in a Group 3 AP race in November over 2100m last time and 4th in a Listed
AP race before that. Consider
5. ALRASHA – Good run when 3rd in a Group 1 at Saint-Cloud in an AP race last time in late
September over 2000m. Player
6. KAVALA DE BOZOULS – Has several unplaced runs since a win on debut over 1500m at Tarbes
in April. Might find this tough
7. MAYHAAB – Unplaced on the sole run to date over 1600m at this track in mid-December. Can
be overlooked
8. MIGUELITO – 4th last time over 2100m at Toulouse in late November when last racing. Others
make more sense
Summary : JARIF (2) has been in terrific shape and won at Milan(Italy) when last seen in a Group
3 AP race over 1800m in October. He can score from the filly ALRASHA (5) who competed in a
Group 1 AP race in September when a good third last time. FARIDA P (1) is talented and is one
for the each-way players to look at. RYSK TOUT (4) also warrants respect and ought to be on the
premises.

R3 – PRIX DE MONTAUT – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 21.000
1. ECLAT DES FLEURS – 5th at this track in December over 1600m on her sole run to date. Expect
progress and can make the frame
2. TAROB – Nice debut when 2nd over 1600m in December at this venue. Can improve and will be
tough to beat
3. CORDIALE – Three unplaced runs to date, the latter over 1600m in December. Hard to
recommend
4. MAHA DIVA – 4th last time after two credible runs before that. More required to win but is one
for the each-way backers to look at
5. BREZZAROSA – Has three runs all unplaced, the latest effort was over 1700m at Pornichet 12
days ago. Makes no appeal
6. JAKIMA – Nice 2nd at this track last time over 1600m in December. Has experience and ought
to be involved
7. SOMMERDANCE – Unplaced on the only run so far over 2000m at Pau in mid-December. Others
make more sense
8. ES XARCU – Nice 4th on debut at this track in December over 1600m and should come forward
from that outing
9. FOSFORITA – Newcomer by Hunter’s Light, from a good stable that can ready a newcomer.
Watch the betting closely
10. MONA MALPIC – Newcomer by Recoletos, can progress for this outing. Monitor the betting
closely for any support
Summary : TAROB (2) made a pleasing debut when second at this track in early December over
1600m and can go one better today. JAKIMA (6) has plenty of experience and shaped well when
second at this track in December over 1600m last time. She looks like the biggest danger. ES
XARCU (8) can improve from a credible effort when fourth at this track on debut and is one to
respect. ECLAT DES FLEURS (1) can make progress from her debut and can be in the shake-up.

R4 – PRIX PHILIPPE DE WATRIGANT – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – ALL WEATHER – Handicap – Flat – EUR € 13.000
1. EL INGRATO – Won four runs ago over 2100m in a claimer at Dax in September in a similar
race to this. Ought to be thereabouts
2. CADE’S – Two good recent runs with a win on November 20th and a good 2nd last time 7 days
after that success. Player
3. MARCHELO – Won twice at San Sebastian (Spain) last summer both over 2000m. Capable of
making the top four
4. AZUR AS WELL – 4th two runs ago at this track over 1600m in November and is looking for win
number 8. Hard to ignore
5. CHAAM – Won three runs ago over 2000m at Toulouse in a Class 4 handicap in October. Two
modest efforts of late
6. ROGUE STAR – Fair 4th last time in a Class 4 race in December over 2100m. Formerly trained
in the UK and can place
7. LOUIS SKI – Three unplaced runs of late in handicaps and a decent 3rd before that over 1600m
in October. Warrants respect
8. SUMMER EYES – 4th in a Class 3 race at Pompadour last time in August over 2200m. Might
find this difficult
9. STONEHENGE – Has had several unplaced runs of late, the latter over 2400m in a claimer in
November. Look elsewhere
10. TASHAAR – Has won 11 times and has recent placed form at this track in December when 3rd
in a Class 3 handicap. Live chance
11. ESPINACO – Has several unplaced runs over different trips so far and looks to be of limited
ability
12. GRAND COURGEON – Has shown very little since a 3rd placed effort in November in a maiden
over 2400m. Hard to fancy
13. WAYOFSPEED – 3rd three runs ago in a claimer over 2100m at Toulouse in November is the
best form of late. Vulnerable
14. WIRI WIRI – 4th two runs ago over 2000m in a Class 3 race in September. Did not feature on
her last run at this track in December. Others preferred
Summary : TASHAAR (10) is the tentative selection in what looks like an open race. He has placed
form recently at this track and can get win number 12 at the expense of possible main rival CADE’S
(2) who has been in good form with a win and a second within a week on the last two appearances.
Given a bit of time since then, he ought to make a bold show. LOUIS SKI (7) is capable of having
a say in a race of this nature and warrants respect as does AZUR AS WELL (4).
