Coming off a recent Maiden victory, MILITARY FLAG seems poised for back-to-back wins in the 1250m Open Novice this Sunday.
Before his debut on November 12, MILITARY FLAG showcased considerable promise during the trials, demonstrating a strong finish from midfield to secure a commendable 2nd place, finishing just 1.25 lengths behind the winner. The three-year-old swiftly made amends three weeks later, living up to the high expectations with a commanding 5.25-length victory.
Despite a 4kg increase in weight, MILITARY FLAG has exhibited the qualities of a promising contender, hinting at the potential to ascend through the ranks in the upcoming months.
Balin’s streak to continue
Continuing his impressive form, progressive performer BALIN seeks his fourth consecutive victory in the upcoming 1200m Class 4 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
BALIN maintained his flawless local record by securing a hat-trick of wins over 1100m here on December 2. The seven-year-old gelding triumphed with remarkable ease, extending his lead to 3.25 lengths as he pulled away from the competition.
Although BALIN had never clinched a victory in thirteen previous starts at Class 4 level races in Singapore, his fortunes have drastically changed since joining the Simon Dunderdale stable last year. Formerly known as Healthy Star, this horse seems to have hit peak form and appears poised to continue his winning streak as he moves up in grade this weekend.
