Ipoh-trained TEOCHEW KID seems poised for a triumphant comeback in the upcoming 1400m Enrich Stakes A event this Sunday.

TEOCHEW KID is stepping back into a more favorable grade, a level where he demonstrated success just three starts ago by claiming victory over this track and distance on September 23, maneuvering through soft going conditions.

Subsequently, the seven-year-old was outclassed in his next assignment – the G1 Coronation Cup – but he bounced back with an impressive second place in the recent Listed Charity Cup.

During the Charity Cup, TEOCHEW KID unleashed a swift late burst as he charged home from last position at the half-mile mark, narrowing the gap to a mere 4.75 lengths.

With a record boasting two victories out of four attempts at this course and distance, the gelding is expected to present a formidable challenge and will be a strong contender to emerge victorious.

Trainer Tan to Prove a point

Six-year-old contender PROVE IT is set to build upon his commendable track record at Ipoh as he gears up for the upcoming 1400m Class 5 event.

Under the guidance of trainer Tan Eng Peow, this entire has exhibited promising performances, securing a victory earlier this year in August during a 1300m Class 5 contest held at this very track.

Demonstrating consistency, PROVE IT has sustained a commendable form leading up to this event, signaling an imminent triumph.

His recent performance, finishing in second place in Selangor a fortnight ago while maintaining an outside position alongside the race leader, showcased his competitive spirit and readiness for victory.
