Having secured five consecutive wins, the talented performer PASIR PINJI appears to be the formidable contender in the upcoming 2000m G1 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor in KL this Sunday.

The seven-year-old has been absent from the scene since triumphing over his rivals in the 1600m G1 Selangor Gold Cup on September 17, clinching victory by half a length from barrier 13.

With a total of six wins this season, PASIR PINJI has outshone his opposition, despite the two-and-a-half-month hiatus. Despite this being his first attempt at the 2000m distance, PASIR PINJI, known for his remarkable acceleration, is expected to be a formidable force and will be difficult to beat.

In the Class 3 1200m contest, progressive five-year-old MISTY SWIFT seems poised to secure a third consecutive victory in Malaysia.

After triumphing against Class 4 opposition during his local debut on October 22, the Shane Ellis-trained gelding dominated in a 1200m Max Two Stakes race here a fortnight ago.

MISTY SWIFT toyed with his rivals, displaying impressive form as the grey surged ahead in the final stretch to win by an astounding 11.5 lengths, remaining untouched.

As he carries the top weight against Class 3 competition this weekend, the gelding is expected to sustain his ascent through the grades.
