Summary : An opening event for unraced two-year-olds in which Jean-Claude Rouget is strongly
represented with 3 runners and likely to dominate, with ZWEIG (1) slightly preferred ahead of
stable companion GARCILASO (2), who is well bred. AYALA (8) is also likely to go well on debut
in the colors of the Pilarski family. The third string to the Rouget bow, ES XARCU (10), should not
be underestimated either.

SELECTIONS
ZWEIG (1) – GARCILASO (2) – AYALA (8) – ES XARCU (10)

R2 – PRIX DE BERNADETS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 23.000

1. ANTARES – Has improved with each outing and finished 3rd at this venue in her latest start
last month. Not taken lightly
2. LINA – Only narrowly beaten by a good filly when finishing 2nd at Toulouse lst time out. Repeat
of that performance here will maek her hard to beat
3. MADAME LYDIA – Has not shown anything to get excited about in her three outings, finishing
unplaced on each occasion. Others preferred
4. PRINCESS OF HEART – Would have gained plenty from the experience of her debut (8th) but

7. PAGANY – Unreliable but not incapable of getting into the picture judged on her best

here

Summary : LINA (2) improved to be only narrowly beaten at Toulouse in October and will be
difficult to beat if reproducing that performance here. LADY OF NABEUL (8) has the form and
experience to pose a threat, so warrants respect. SOLENA (9) finished an encouraging 4th on
debut and is likely to improve with the benefit of that outing, so also has legitimate claims for a
spot on the podium. ANTARES (1) and SILPENY (10) complete the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
LINA (2) – LADY OF NABEUL (8) – SOLENA (9) – ANTARES (1)

R3 – PRIX DE BIZANOS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – ALL WEATHER – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 14.000

1. CHIEF’S APP – Unreliable but not incapable of getting into the picture judged on her best
references. Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
2. MONA LISA – Struggling to regain any form or spark the improvement needed to be
competitive here, so unlikely to trouble the judge

1600m last time. Ought to do better stretching back out to this distance
5. VERDINA – Inconsistent but did finish 2nd three starts back and was a winner four outings ago.
Unreliable but not incapable of having a say

12. LA FILLE DE BERLIN – Winner four starts back but has struggled since, finishing unplaced in
3 consecutive outings.
Needs to reaffirm
13. CAVANI KAIZEN – Has been holding form at a lower level but faces a tougher task now, so
others are preferred. Watch for now
14. PEDROZIO – Has maintained a good level of form and consistency for new connections,
never finishing out of the first four since joining Frédéric Sanchez. Keep safe
15. BILWAUKEE – Unreliable but has won twice at this course, so is not incapable of staking a
claim here judged on his best references. Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
16. WINO – Has looked distinctly ordinary for some time now, so her chances are limited even at
this level. Ignore

Summary : LIEBE KINDER (9) has finished 2nd in three of his last five outings, including in two
consecutive starts recently, so wouldn’t be winning out of turn and he is good value to reconnect
with success here. JUSTE BERE (4) let the side down over 1600m last time but is better than that
effort suggests and, on the strength of his earlier form, should bounce back over this distance to
pose a threat. BLACK GAIA (3) is drawn widest of all but has the means to stake a claim too.
PEDROZIO (14) and LA CATELLA (7) are also capable of getting involved.

SELECTIONS
LIEBE KINDER (9) – JUSTE BERE (4) – BLACK GAIA (3) – PEDROZIO (14)

references. Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
4. MY HOPE – Consistent for the most part and is competitive at this handicap value. Will make
her presence felt
5. SPANISH LIGHT – Runner-up on his handicap debut over 2000m from an outside stall gate.
Can open his account if as effective over this trip
6. KADANCE DE BOZOULS – Out of sorts but seldom finishes far off the mark on a going day.
Has only a place chance here in a race of this nature

two starts back, should have a role to play. Respected
9. ROI MERCURE – Struggling to regain any form or spark the improvement needed to be
competitive here, so unlikely to trouble the judge
10. GRAND COURGEON – Finished 3rd at Bordeaux over 2400m recently and remains
unexposed on this surface – his one run on PSF yielded a 6th. Not taken lightly
11. EVAMIS – Has looked distinctly ordinary for some time now so her chances are limited, even
at this level. Ignore
12. COCOON QUATRE – Inconsistent, more effective in claiming races and has no references on
this surface. Best just to watch for now
13. OAK WOOD – Unreliable but seldom finishes far off the mark on a going day. Hard to trust but
is as hard to rule out

Summary : In his last five starts, SPANISH LIGHT (5) has been 4th and 3rd twice before
finishing 2nd in consecutive outings. He wouldn’t be winning out of turn and is good value to open
his account stretching out to this distance for this handicap. He will, however, have to thwart the
likely challenge of top-weight THE TOP GATSBY (1), who will enjoy the benefit of Marlène
Meyer’s 1,5kg allowance, as well as LANCEUR D’ALERTE (8) who finished 3rd here 2 starts
back and is better than his most recent outing suggests. MY HOPE (4) completes the shortlist.

SELECTIONS

R5 – PRIX DE BUROS – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 23.000

last time but did not enjoy the run of the race on that occasion. Capable of better
2. DADAS BOY – Placed over 1200m in the United Kingdom so is dangerous to dismiss
stretching out to this trip now. Beware
3. AGOSTINO MASUCCI – Showed enough to work with when finishing 4th on debut and would
have gained plenty from that experience. Dark horse
4. NOSS DEMRAUD – Hard to make a case for having finished unplaced in both outings, so is
best watched for now. Others preferred

outings. Should make his presence felt if confirming that progress
6. DELIRIUM TREMENS – Changed hands after improving to finish an encouraging 3rd at

on with the benefit of that experience. Dark horse
11. SNATCHER – Failed to confirm the promise of his debut 4th when only finishing 6th here last
time over track and trip. Has scope to do better
12. NASHVILLE – Philippe Sogorb-trained Kheleyf gelding to note on debut with Anthony Crastus

Best watched for now
14. ULTRATREIZE – Simone Brogi-trained Ultra colt making his debut with Anaëlle Mekouche
engaged to ride, with the 2,5kg allowance a help. Watch for now

Summary : LOUSTIC BERE (8) overcame a tardy start by running on to take a fast-finishing 2nd
on debut at Bordeaux and will need only to jump on terms here to fight for success.
MOTADARREK (9) is also likely to improve following a decent introduction in which he finished
an encouraging 6th, so could pose a threat. EL KALBITO (5) improved in his last start to finish
2nd at this venue and ought to make his presence felt if building on that progress, while
DELIRIUM TREMENS (6) appeals most of the remainder.

SELECTIONS
LOUSTIC BERE (8) – MOTADARREK (9) – EL KALBITO (5) – DELIRIUM TREMENS (6)

1. BARBAGGIO – Likely to improve with the benefit of an introductory outing (6th) but is best

as hard to rule out
5. GOLDENSIM – Consistent sort with sound form credentials, having never finished worse than
4th at Pau. Will be a factor

though has no more than a place chance
7. GRIS DE PERLES – Absent since last April having finished 5th in both outings. Has scope to
improve with freshness on his side, so could well surprise
8. SNOBBISH – Runner-up on debut in Madrid, Spain and is likely to improve on his first start on
French soil. Respected
9. SAFO DE MITILENE – Showed signs of improvement when finishing 4th last time but will need
to raise her game to get a look in here
10. LA MAZEL – Fetched €60,000 this summer having started her career in the United States.
Finished 2nd last time before being disqualified and is good value to make amends here
11. NICOLASA – Has looked rather ordinary in her two appearances this year, finishing 7trh on
both occasions. Best watched for now
12. LUXU – Struggling to regain any form or spark the improvement needed to be competitive
here so isn’t likely to trouble the judge
13. FULL COLOUR – Boasts the joint highest rating of the runners engaged in this race and has
finished 2nd in two of her last three starts, including her most recent outing. Winning chance
14. VERSION COX – Consistent filly with sound form references on the turf. Not one to be
underestimated stepping onto PSF for the first time
15. WIRI WIRI – Has shown signs of improvement in minor events recently so will need to raise
her game even further to get a look in here

Summary : LA MAZEL (10) started her career encouragingly on American racetracks and was

open her account here and is taken to get the better of FULL COLOR (13), who has the form and
form and experience to fight for victory. GOLDENSIM (5) would not be winning out of turn either
and has the means to pose a threat too, which also applies to LE CORSAIRE (2) who finished
3rd on debut and should improve with the benefit of that experience.

SELECTIONS
LA MAZEL (10) – FULL COLOUR (13) – GOLDENSIM (5) – LE CORSAIRE (2)
