Race Preview

R1 – PRIX LYPHARD – POLYTRACK CHALLENGE – 1900m (a1 3/16m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 52.000

1. LORD CHARMING – Not disgraced when sixth in Rome last time out. Improving and has won
three in Germany this year. May be best on turf but has a winning chance
2. MONTY – Disappointing this year in that he has yet to win but he has run some fine races and
is clearly not out of it
3. DAWN INTELLO – Not disgraced when fifth in Rome last time out. Last win was on this surface
in September. Should contest the finish again
4. ONLY THE BRAVE – All his best form has been in Germany. Only fifth last time out in France
and needs to do more to win this race
5. CENTRICAL – Disappointing last three starts. Won three in a row before that and could be the
surprise package trying the PSF
6. MR DE POURCEAUGNAC – Always gives of his best and won his latest start. Has also won
over this course and distance in 2020. Not out of it
7. INTEGRANT – Very consistent and won over this course and distance in August. Not disgraced
when third over this track and trip last time out and should fight out the finish
8. CICCIO BOY – Unreliable and was only sixth over this course and distance when carrying a
penalty. Might place
9. CLAYMORE – Won once in 2021 and again in 2022. Only modest in three starts this year but
has made the trip from the UK and deserves some respect
10. PALAIS DU LOUVRE – Needed his comeback run after a break when tenth last time out.
Fitter now and was in good form before that. Can upset
11. ZALACAIN – Modest last run when fifth. Last win was a claimer and he needs to do a lot
more to beat these rivals
12. MERKUR – Clearly unreliable and was only eighth at this course last time out. tries the PSF
and could improve but others are preferred
13. BABALA – Disappointing last run when eighth. Has some ability but may be best watched
trying this surface for the first time
14. WINTER’S LOVE – Well beaten last time out. Won a handicap over this distance on this
surface before that. Capable of improvement but others are preferred

Summary : INTEGRANT (7) is proven over this course and distance and gets a narrow vote to
beat a competitive field. MONTY (2) has not won this year but has run well in better fields than
this and can score if in the mood. DAWN INTELLO (3) and LORD CHARMING (1) were not
disgraced in Italy last time out and neither would a be a surprise winner in this line-up and they
deserve respect.

R2 – PRIX DE BAGNOLES DE L’ORNE – 1300m (a6 1/2f) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. LEGACY – Eighth on debut on the Chantilly Turf in October. Capable of improvement but is
best watched this time
2. GOLDEN GLOBE – Seventh on debut at this course earlier this month. Capable of
improvement but others are preferred
3. BROTHERS OF LILY’S – Fit and has some fair form. Fourth over this track and trip last time
out and can fight out the finish
4. SEABISCUIT DU RHEU – Did not show much when ninth on debut. Drops in distance and tries
the PSF but others are preferred
5. VERTBOIS – Fair fifth on debut and was not disgraced when third over this course and
distance last time out. Likely to do even better this time. Big chance
6. VERCORS – Not disgraced when fifth in both starts over a similar distance on the turf. Tries the
PSF and can do even better this time
7. CALL THE SHOTS – Runner-up on debut earlier this year. This is likely a tougher race but
deserves some respect. Place chance
8. MASTERPLAN – Runner-up in Germany in August but has only been modest in three runs in
France. Others are preferred
9. SOVER FAL – Runner-up twice in six starts including on this surface last time out. This looks a
tougher task. Might place
10. ENSYAABY – A two-year-old colt by Footstepsinthesand out of Jewel Of The Nile who is
making his debut. Can win
11. IGNOL – A two-year-old colt by Guignol out of Indyca who is making his debut. Watch the
betting
12. WOOTTON MELODY – A two-year-old colt by Wootton Bassett out of Sage Melody who is
making his debut. Watch the betting

Summary : VERTBOIS (5) showed some improvement when third over this track and trip last
time out. He does look the one to be wit this time. BROTHERS OF LILY’S (3) was not disgraced
last time out and should contest the finish again. VERCORS (6) has been fair in two starts and
could improve trying the PSF. ENSYAABY (10) makes his debut and could be ready to score.

R3 – PRIX DE SWORD BEACH – 1300m (a6 1/2f) – ALL WEATHER – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 18.000

1. KHARKIV – Placed third at this track in July. In seven attempts since has not troubled the
judge. Place prospects
2. PRIMO VIOLINO – Has struggled all year without winning but won over this course and
distance last year off a higher mark. Can bounce back to score
3. BIENNE – A winner of her latest start and the third win of her career. One to consider for the
win here
4. GORDINI ROAD – In six attempts is yet to feature and more is needed before selecting. Other
runners are preferred
5. LE CHAT BOTTE – A winner of a class D event earlier this month, followed up with a unplaced
run at Chantilly. Place prospects
6. BLOOD CHOPE – Runner up in latest and was in the money three of last four events. Can be
involved at the finish
7. ACHKI – A gelding that has not placed since two runner up positions in April. Does have three
victories and thirteen places to his name
8. HIS PRIDE – Has had eight attempts this year and has not placed. Last two efforts resulted in a
fifth place and is getting better
9. BLUES BIRD – A filly that is yet to win a event. She has one place from eleven attempts and
others are preferred here
10. CALY ROSAY – This mare has been struggling since a third place in May. She was a runner
up at track in March
11. MEHANYDREAM – Last six have been unplaced. Was a winner seven runs back. Must
improve on recent to feature here
12. LILLY BIRD – A mare that won three starts back but has not been consistent. Would be a
surprise winner here
13. EXCLUSIVE BEAUTY – Form is below standard and has not placed this year. Improvement is
needed before selecting
14. HUDA – Form this year is poor and not much confidence can be given. Others preferred here

Summary : PRIMO VIOLINO (2) has struggled throughout this year but did win over this course
and distance last year off a much higher mark so could be of value this time. BLOOD CHOPE (6)
is in good form and should fight out the finish once again. BIENNE (3) won her latest start but
struggled in a handicap before that. HIS PRIDE (8) could be ready to hit the board.

1. VAUTRIN – Track and trip third in latest start and is a eight time winner overall. Can be
involved at the finish once again
2. COOLMEEN ROYAL – Last six efforts have been unplaced and other runners are preferred for
this event
3. ALBEDO – Last seven efforts have been lacking and until improvement is shown is one not to
follow
4. NAUGHTY ANA – Latest effort was after a two month break and in her penultimate run placed
third over 1300m
5. INVIOLABLE SPIRIT – This gelding will be having his third run back from a break and should
be fitter. Place prospects
6. SPACE FORCE – This gelding has won three times overall. Placed third in penultimate run and
can trouble the judge. Place chance
7. AKENATOR – A gelding that placed third in latest in September. Has been on a short break
and if not needing the run can make the frame
8. TARAMANA – Latest effort was first up from a five month break and might still need the run
before making the frame
9. SALSA CHIC – A winner back in April but subsequent runs have been below par and others
are preferred here
10. WHY CHOPE – A four time winning filly who has not placed in last four runs but has some
ability and could get into the action
11. BARBUDA – A filly that has not won yet. Is consistently not far off them and can feature in this
event
12. UP TO THE MOON – Latest effort for this filly was after a three month break and can be
sharper this time round
13. RED NUDE ROUGE – This mare has had three runner up positions in a row and latest was at
this track. Showing good form and can go close
14. POLIVATE – Penultimate start was her first victory and followed up with a third at this track.
Can be involved at the finish

Summary : RED NUDE ROUGE (13) deserves a win after three runner-up runs and could go
one better this time. BARBUDA (11) has yet to win a race but can contest the finish. POLIVATE
(14) is improving and should be involved with the finish once again. AKENATOR (7) returns from
a break but has ability and would not be a surprise winner.
