France Form Sheet – 27th October

Race Preview

R1 – PRIX ISONOMY – 1800m (a1 1/8m) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 60.000

1. GANASS – Consistent colt with sound form references in conditions races and handicaps,
although has yet to open his account. Outsider
2. GO DADDY – Confirmed the improvement of his previous start (2nd) by registering a maiden win
last time. Has more on his plate here
3. SOSIE – Showed a professional attitude when winning on debut at this venue over 1600m and
would’ve gained plenty from that experience. Keep safe
4. DE SICA – Smart prospect who finished 2nd in a Group III event over this course and distance
last month. One to beat
5. RELEASE ME – Confirmed the promise of her debut 2nd when hardly exerting herself to win her
last/next start. Open to any amount of improvement
6. WAR CHIMES – Ran a better race than her finishing position suggests when 7th in the Prix Haras
Bouquetot at ParisLongchamp last time. Trainer saddled a Group I winner last weekend

Summary : DE SICA (4) proved his debut 2nd was no fluke by winning next time out and confirmed
his abundant promise with a good 2nd in a Group III contest over this track and trip last month, and
need only perform to that level to resume winning ways in this Listed event. Unexposed debut
winner SOSIE (3) may lack experience but revealed sufficient quality when winning first-up over
1600m at this venue to suggest that he could have a career in pattern races. He could pose a threat
along with last-start winner RELEASE ME (5), who finished 2nd on debut and receives a 1,5kg sex
allowance here. David Menuisier, who had a festival last weekend, runs WAR CHIMES (6) whose
chances can’t be ignored either after a creditable showing in the Prix Haras Bouquetot.

SELECTIONS
DE SICA (4) – SOSIE (3) – RELEASE ME (5) – WAR CHIMES (6)

R2 – PRIX LA KOUMIA – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 16.000

1. LEON DE BERCE – Unplaced on the only run so far over 1500m at Tarbes this month. Can
improve but is hard to fancy
2. CITYBOL FAL – Unplaced on the only run to date over 1600m in August. Showed promise and
can be on the premises
3. TEARDROP EXPLODES – Fair 3rd at Craon over 1650m in September in a maiden race. Ought
to play a lead role
4. PICANES – 5th last time over 1350m at Cholet 20 days ago. Has experience and can make the
frame
5. WHILAND – 5th on the only start over 1600m at Nantes this month. Progress expected but needs
a few to falter
6. HILLSBORO – Two runs both unplaced, the latter over 1650m at Craon in September. Needs
more and others are preferred
7. HARMONY GREY – Showed promise when 6th over 1500m at Saint-Cloud 22 days ago on the
sole run. Respect
8. LOVE MARIA – Credible 4th at Craon on the only run so far over 1650m in September. Can
make the top four
9. MARQUISE VERA – Unplaced in two runs so far, the latter over 1600m at Vichy last month.
Might find this too much
10. GRAPPA – Unraced by Elvstroem, from a good stable who knows the time of day. Market
influence will be informative
11. L’AGORA GAME – Newcomer by Zarak, will improve a good bit for this debut outing. Best
watched for the time being

Summary : HARMONY GREY (7) is expected to take a big step forward after a credible debut at
Saint-Cloud where she showed a nice bit of promise. She holds solid claims in an open-looking
race. The daughter of Seabhac, TEARDROP EXPLODES (3) looks the type to keep improving with
racing and rates a live danger. GRAPPA (10) has a taking profile and can be on the premises on
her debut. PICANES (4) is also worth considering for a place.

SELECTIONS
HARMONY GREY (7) – TEARDROP EXPLODES (3) – GRAPPA (10) – PICANES (4)

R3 – PRIX MIESQUE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – GROUPE III – Groupe – Flat – EUR € 80.000

1. MONTEILLE – Improved with each outing to win at the third attempt and subsequently finished
2nd in a Listed race. Can get into the picture
2. GEOLOGIST – Finished 3rd in a Group III event at Deauville during the summer and returned to
winning ways recently with a Listed race success in Germany. Sets the standard
3. TAMFANA – Unexposed last-start winner who showed promise on debut (3rd) at Ffos Las before
confirming it at Kempton (on PSF). Unknown quantity
4. SHADY LADY – Beat re-opposing subsequent winner SANS VOIX (7) at Craon before finishing
a respectable 6th at Group II level last time. Keep safe
5. HARD TO RESIST – William Haggas-trained representative of the King and Queen of England.
Has sound references and will also appreciate the drop back in distance
6. MA MOME – Continues to push her limits, winning five of her last nine outings including her last
two starts. Races off a career-high mark with more on her plate now
7. SANS VOIX – Highly regarded filly and last-start winner, with two victories and a 2nd from three
outings. Has plenty scope to improve even further
Summary : A competitive renewal of this Group III event, but one that could go the way of
GEOLOGIST (2) judged on the form of her 3rd in the Group III Prix Six Perfections at Deauville this

summer. Promising SANS VOIX (7) is unexposed but has already revealed serious means, by
winning two of her three starts, and could fight for victory on the evidence of her impressive
Bordeaux success recently. SHADY LADY (4), who beat the latter at Craon, was not disgraced in
a Group II contest last time and should also have a role to play. Mickaël Barzalona, in the Royal
colours of the King and Queen of England, rides HARD TO RESIST (5) whose chances cannot be
discounted either after finishing 4th in a Doncaster Group II last month.

SELECTIONS
GEOLOGIST (2) – SANS VOIX (7) – SHADY LADY (4) – HARD TO RESIST (5)

R4 – PRIX D’ECOUFLANT – 3000m (a1 7/8m) – TURF – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 22.000

1. MIRZANN – 2nd last time over 2400m at Saint-Cloud on October 10th. If staying the extra
distance he can be involved
2. LUC SUR MER – Fair 4th in a Class 2 race in late August when last seen. Lightly raced and has
plenty more to come
3. MISTER POWER – Unplaced the last two runs, won before that over 2600m in August. Looks
safely held
4. FLAMINGWAY – Won at Moulins when last seen in May over 2800m. Needs to progress to get
involved
5. MAZOURKA – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 3000m at Dieppe in May. Needs to
improve to trouble some of these
6. CYANE – Won over 2300m last time in late September in a handicap at this track. Course form
and has solid claims
7. SEA BREAKER – 5th in a Class 1 race two runs ago at Toulouse over 2400m in September.
Should relish the step up in trip
8. MARY COVE – Unplaced on the only run over 1800m in a claimer 18 days ago. Looks out of her
depth
9. SWEET FORTUNE – Won over 3000m last time in mid-September in a handicap. Can make
presence felt

Summary : With a step up in trip by 600m, if MIRZANN (1) manages to relax and stay he might
just edge this from SEA BREAKER (7) who did well when she finished fifth in a Class 1 race two
runs ago at Toulouse last month. CYANE (6) won at this track last time over 2300m in late
September and is likely to stay this 3000m journey. SWEET FORTUNE (9) has won over this trip
and can have a say at the business end of the race.

SELECTIONS
MIRZANN (1) – SEA BREAKER (7) – CYANE (6) – SWEET FORTUNE (9)

R5 – PRIX DE L’AVENUE DE CONDE – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. BRIO – Showed his inexperience on debut but ran on well to finish 2nd once the penny had
dropped. Has a winning chance
2. PRINCE A RIO – Has shown enough (finished 4th on debut and 3rd last time out) to get a look
in here. Not to be underestimated
3. WELCOME CHARLY – Made the expected improvement to finish 3rd last time after a pleasing
6th on debut. Must eke out more progress to have a say here
4. BLUE STARLIGHT – Open to any amount of improvement after an encouraging 4th on debut.
Ought to improve with the benefit of that experience
5. SHAMROCK GLITTER – Finished a promising 3rd on debut and ought to have gained plenty
from that experience. Will have more to offer
6. OURO PRETO – Was a promising 2nd in each of his first two starts before finishing downfield in
the lucrative Prix Haras Bouquetot last time. Should fare better here
7. PROMETHEAN – Did not go unnoticed when finishing 5th on debut and will be wiser to the task
now. Can get into the picture
8. FIRST LOOK – Well-related Lope De Vega colt acquired for €340,000 last summer. Represents
a powerful stable so will attract interest from the outset

Summary : BRIO (1) took time to unwind but ran on well once the penny had dropped to finish 2nd
on debut and should, with the benefit of that experience, improve over this slightly longer distance.
So, he gets the nod to go one better here at the expense of well-related (nephew of Group I winner
Left Hand) newcomer FIRST LOOK (8), who is respected on debut for André Fabre. OURO PRETO
(6), despite his failure last time, should also have a role to play if bouncing back to his earlier form
(twice 2nd). SHAMROCK GLITTER (5) and BLUE STARLIGHT (4) complete the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
BRIO (1) – FIRST LOOK (8) – OURO PRETO (6) – SHAMROCK GLITTER (5)

R6 – PRIX BERNARD GUY – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 16.000

1. DRIP – 5th last time over 2250m at Niort on October 15th in a Class 4 race. Can not be ruled out
of this
2. AQUITAINE – Nice effort two runs ago at Evreux when 4th over 2500m in September. Off a
reasonable handicap rating she can be competitive
3. JACQUES COEUR – Ran well when 5th at Les Sables last time over 1950m on October 14th.
Ought to be thereabouts
4. NIPPER – Has dropped to a decent handicap mark. 5th at Compiegne in mid-September gives
him claims to be competitive
5. NUAGE GRIS – Credible 4th last time over 1700m in late September, 2nd before that over 2150m
in a Class 4 race. Can make the frame at nice odds
6. BLACK MORNING – Good 2nd last time over 1800m at Compiegne on October 6th. Knows how
to win and has solid claims
7. JULDIKO – 5th two runs ago over 2150m in a Class 4 race, has been inconsistent and is best
watched
8. TYTAN – Nice run when 3rd at Compiegne on October 13th over 1800m in a Class 4 handicap.
In the mix
9. LIBERTE CHERIE – Won four runs ago over 2400m in a Class 4 handicap in March. Below par
since and needs to get back on track
10. SPINNING MIST – Has several unplaced runs of late over different trips. Looks hard to be
enthusiastic about
11. ESPOIR LONGUEEN – Nice run two runs ago when 4th over 2500m at Saint-Cloud in late May.
Capable of being involved
12. ARMORIGENE – 4th three runs ago over 2200m at Amiens in late September. Has dropped in
the ratings but is hard to fancy
13. ANTAIOS – 6th last time over 2400m at Nantes in a Class 4 handicap in October. Has work to
do to feature
14. ALF A STAR – Won two runs ago over 2400m at Le Lion D’Angers in a Class 4 handicap in
March. Has not been seen since April and is best watched for now
15. MULTAMIS – Has four unplaced efforts this year, the latter over 1700m 25 days ago. Hard to
recommend
16. STUNT KITE – Not seen since May 2022 when unplaced over 2500m in a Class 3 handicap.
Might need this run off a long absence

Summary : BLACK MORNING (6) knows how to win these type of races. With luck in running, she
can be too smart for her rivals. AQUITAINE (2) has eased in the ratings and can make her presence
felt after a good effort two runs back when fourth at Evreux. TYTAN (8) merits consideration after
a nice run at Compiegne when third over 1800m on October 13th. NIPPER (4) has also dropped
in the ratings and can not be ruled out of being involved.

SELECTIONS
BLACK MORNING (6) – AQUITAINE (2) – TYTAN (8) – NIPPER (4)

R7 – PRIX DE LA RUE D’AUMALE – 1600m (a1m) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. MOZAFAKA – Ought to have come on with the benefit of an introductory outing, so could improve
on that 5th place finish
2. DORABELLA – Revealed serious potential when an eye-catching 3rd on debut and should fight
for victory here if making any improvement. One to beat
3. ALIMARA – Caught the eye when finishing 2nd on debut in a good field and ought to have
improved since. Confirmation expected
4. QUENDRESA – Well-related filly (half-sister to Hooking) who has been absent since July but has
shown enough to warrant respect. Beware
5. GOOSEBUMPY – Promising Siyouni filly who confirmed the promise of her debut (4th) by
subsequently finishing 3rd. Has claims
6. LEPSA – Fetched €190,000 in August last year and has made a pleasing start to her career.
Finished 3rd in her last start after a debut 4th and should have more to offer
7. XIOMARA – Unplaced (9th) on debut and, although likely to improve with the benefit of that
experience, is best watched for now
8. ETINCELLE – Finished a well-beaten 9th on debut so is unlikely to trouble the judge here on that
evidence. Others preferred
9. DIDJIE – Has scope to improve after two satisfactory outings, finishing 5th on both occasions.
Has only a place chance
10. WORD’S OUT – Well-bred filly (closely related to Group II-placed Eternal Hope) from the
powerful Fabre stable, Warrants respect on debut

Summary : DORABELLA (2) caught the eye when finishing 3rd on debut at Bordeaux and ought
to play a prominent role in the finish with improvement expected following that promising
introduction. WORD’S OUT (10) is the only newcomer in the race but is bred to be useful so could
defy her inexperience by fighting for victory. ALIMARA (3) is also likely to improve after an
encouraging debut display and is another to factor in. GOOSEBUMPY (5) and QUENDRESA (4)
have both the form and experience to make their presence felt too.

SELECTIONS
DORABELLA (2) – WORD’S OUT (10) – ALIMARA (3) – GOOSEBUMPY (5)

R8 – PRIX RABELAIS – 2100m (a1 5/16m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 20.000

1. MAT LA FRISTOUILLE – Won last time over 2400m at Pornichet 25 days ago in a Class 3
handicap. Might be in the handicappers grip
2. LAURENT – Unplaced the last twice, a nice 2nd before that at Dieppe in July over 1800m. In
the mix
3. KALEO PALACE – Has been in good form of late, the most recent effort was a 2nd at Vichy over
2000m last month. Sets the standard
4. KINGDOM – Won two starts ago at Compiegne over 2000m in a Class 3 handicap in September.
Player
5. LA ROSELIERE – 2nd two starts ago at Compiegne behind KINGDOM (4) in September. Can
make the top four
6. RIMSKY – Two unplaced efforts of late, won before that at Loudeac in April over 2850m. Has
work to do to figure
7. KINGSTON NARCISSUS – 5th last time in a Class 3 handicap over 2000m at Vichy, in
September. In the shake-up
8. DELTA SPIRIT – 4th two runs back in a Class 4 handicap at Le Mans over 1950m in September.
Merits consideration
9. KING MOTIF – 5th last time at Compiegne 14 days ago over 2400m in a Class 4 claiming event.
Hard to fancy
10. CRISALSA – Won two runs back at this venue in late September over 1600m in a Class 4 race.
Vulnerable
11. JYCROIS BELLEVUE – Won last time at Toulouse 23 days ago over 2400m in a Class 4
handicap. Can not be overlooked
12. TOP GLORY – Four unplaced efforts since winning at Parislongchamp in June over 1850m in
a Class 3 handicap. Unlikely
13. RONCHEROLLES – Unplaced last time, won before that at Le Mans over 1950m in a Class 4
handicap at the end of September. Others rate higher
14. COEUR DAVIER – Several unplaced efforts this year over various trips. Has dropped in the
ratings but needs to get back on track
15. SPATIAL MERIT – 3rd last time over 2200m in a Class 4 handicap at Amiens 18 days ago.
Might find this difficult
16. COMTESSE VERA – 3rd last time in a Class 4 handicap over 1950m at Les Sables 13 days
ago. More required in a better race

Summary : KALEO PALACE (3) could be the answer in a very tricky handicap to end the card. He
has been consistent recently. He gets the vote ahead of LAURENT (2) who is a live contender and
can bounce back to form after a couple of below-par efforts of late. KINGDOM (4) won two runs
ago at Compiegne and another competitive effort can be expected from him. LA ROSELIERE (5)
has been in good shape this season and can not be discounted.

SELECTIONS
KALEO PALACE (3) – LAURENT (2) – KINGDOM (4) – LA ROSELIERE (5)

R9 – PRIX DU LABYRINTHE DE BUIS – 1500m (a7 1/2f) – ALL WEATHER – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 16.000

1. LOVE AFFAIR – Confirmed on this track and in good shape following an improved 4th last time.
Has a winning chance
2. FULL GAIN – Unreliable but seldom finishes far off the mark on a going day. Hard to trust but is
as hard to rule out
3. URI – Has regained momentum recently and, interestingly, did register the only success of his
career on this PSF. Keep safe
4. AL RASSOUL – Bounced back to form last time with a win, his second in four starts. Has less
margin but rider’s 1,5kg allowance will help
5. TAG – Showed signs of improvement last time and could get a look in here if building on that
progress. Outsider
6. VALENTO – Unreliable but seldom finishes far off the mark when in the mood, so could get into
the picture here though has no more than a place chance
7. RUBIS GOLD – Struggling to regain any form or show signs of improvement needed to be
competitive here, so unlikely to trouble the judge
8. SINSINSIN – Seldom far off the mark and was unlucky not to have finished even closer last time
(8th). Upset potential
9. HIS PRIDE – Unreliable but not entirely incapable of getting into the picture judged on his best
references. Best watched for now though
10. BLACK PANTHER – Was never really able to express herself when finishing unplaced earlier
this month and remains capable of better. Not taken lightly
11. EMPIRIC – Has regained momentum, finishing 4th in consecutive starts recently. Drawn wide
but could get into the picture
12. MEHANYDREAM – Unreliable but seldom finishes far off the mark when in the mood, so could
get into the picture here though has no more than a place chance
13. ENJOY THE SILENCE – Struggling to regain any form or show signs of improvement needed
to be competitive here, so unlikely to trouble the judge
14. SORRENZA – Veteran mare maintaining a respectable level of form and consistency. Needs
to improve to win but has sound place prospects
15. ERNAN CORTES – Has looked distinctly ordinary for some time now, so his chances are limited
even at this level. Ignore
16. COVADONGA – On a long losing run and is unlikely to buck the trend on the evidence of her
last five starts. Overlook
17. KOREM – Sparked improvement to finish 4th in his last start and could have a say under a light
weight if confirming

Summary : LOVE AFFAIR (1) won twice under Christophe Soumillon at the start of the year and
is good value to confirm recent improvement at this handicap value, so she gets the nod ahead of
URI (3) who has regained his momentum and is proven on this track. BLACK PANTHER (10) is
better than his last start suggests – unlucky not to have finished – and she remains capable of
staking a claim in a race of this nature. EMPIRIC (11), like AL RASSOUL (4), is unreliable but has
the means to get involved too.

SELECTIONS
LOVE AFFAIR (1) – URI (3) – BLACK PANTHER (10) – EMPIRIC (11)

R10 – PRIX DE LA VIEILLE ROUTE – 1100m (a5 1/2f) – TURF – Class – Flat – EUR € 19.000

1. EXCALIBUR – Lines up in good form and physical condition having proved his competitiveness
at this value in a handicap recently. Has a role to play
2. KING ROBBE – Confirmed the improvement of his previous outing (2nd) by finishing 2nd on this
straight course last time. Will be a factor
3. PRADARO – Unreliable but not incapable of getting into the picture judged on his best
references. Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
4. WRONG COLOUR – Won her first start in this category beating older rivals. Has changed hands
since and is capable of following up for new connections
5. TRUE ROMANCE – Struggling to regain his form or spark the improvement needed to be
competitive here, so is not likely to trouble the judge
6. WILD SHERIFF – Seldom finishes far off the mark and has the means to get a look in here but
has no more than a place chance
7. TALLINSKI – Finished 2nd to WRONG COLOR (4) at this venue earlier in the month and he
ought to remain competitive
8. TASHBEEH – Non Runner
9. FLEUR DE BAILEYS – Unreliable but not incapable of getting into the picture judged on her best
references. Hard to trust but is as hard to rule out
10. CRISTAL MARVELOUS – Has been rather ordinary in her last three starts, finishing unplaced
on each occasion. Chances are limited even at this level
11. IL RITORNO – Struggling to regain his form or spark the improvement needed to be competitive
here, so is not likely to trouble the judge
12. TATSTHEWAYTODOIT – Seldom finishes far off the mark and could get into the picture here
but has no more than a place chance
13. DONN CLIFS – Inconsistent although seldom far off the mark. Makes his return here after a
layoff so is best just to watch for now
14. WONDERFUL WORLD – Has blown hot and cold in Germany and across the Channel but has
shown sufficient means to be competitive on French soil
15. MARIE’S PICNIC – Unplaced in both outings this year but is not entirely incapable of resurfacing
in a race like this judged on her best references. Beware

Summary : WRONG COLOR (4) was imperious in her first start against older rivals last time when
making a winning start to life in the claiming division, and he is good value to follow up that success
with another for new connections. Proven at this level, KING ROBBE (2) retains the means to pose
a threat and could fight for victory after finishing 2nd in his last two outings. EXCALIBUR (1) has
enjoyed a good spell in the handicaps and has nothing to prove in this grade either, so should also
have a role to play. WONDERFUL WORLD (14) is another to watch closely in his first start on
French soil. TALLINSKI (7) has displayed commendable consistency and cannot be discounted
either.

SELECTIONS
WRONG COLOUR (4) – KING ROBBE (2) – EXCALIBUR (1) – WONDERFUL WORLD (14)
