The progressive performer ANSU has rapidly climbed through the classes in six local starts and appears well-positioned to achieve a hat-trick of wins in the 1400m Class 3 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

ANSU will be entering the race with back-to-back wins on his home track over 1300m and 1400m, the latest being a leading performance in his first attempt in Class 3 company. The five-year-old received strong support from the market, securing victory with 50kg after the 3kg claim for apprentice Tuan Ammar.

Upon arriving in Malaysia, ANSU had a record of one win from ten starts, breaking the maiden tag on debut back in January 2021. Since joining Simon Dunderdale earlier this year, this former Kiwi galloper has found his stride and is expected to add to his winning tally this weekend.
