A lucrative card in terms of betting awaits punters at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday the 27th of September with 8 races carded on the poly track.

Lady Canton looks to have solid credentials for top honours in race five. The Paul Lafferty trained daughter of Canford Cliffs ran extremely well in her last and has always been highly regarded. She came from well back in a compact field only for the gaps to open late when finishing third in her last start.

She does meet some decent opposition here but you just get the feeling there is plenty more to come and she must be respected.

Giver’s Grace from the Carl Hewitson yard has plenty of ability and be could be very dangerous here with the inform rider Chase Majean up. She has shown solid form early in her career and is another who is highly regarded by her yard. She has run on poly before however majority of her starts have been on turf so there is a bit of caution.  It’s suggested the exacta and swinger bets could be the way to go with these two runners.

Flight Display in the fourth looks extremely progressive and could be the nearest thing to a banker for Pick 6 punters. She has made steady progress in all her starts and should relish the 1900m trip now. The Michael Miller trained daughter of Futura will be ridden by Tristan Godden again after running a good second in her last start.

The M J Odendaal trained Lemon Scent was a sudden improver in her last start and needs to repeat that performance to be competitive here as well as Mystique Rouge. Beyond these, others to consider are Ballycotton.

Race one looks to be a very competitive contest where many runners have decent winning chances. The narrow first selection goes to the Michael Miller trained Abaddon who made a sparkling debut at big odds. He is likely to have come on from that effort and looks to be a massive contender here.

Johan Janse Van Vuuren saddles Babylon with Gavin Lerena aboard. He hasn’t missed the frame in all three of his starts and was narrowly beaten in his last two starts. Lerena has a solid record when coming down to KZN and there is a lot to like about Babylon.

Victor Rail from the Alyson Wright yard is another who has decent form to win this. Although he has had many tries at cracking his maiden his form speaks for itself. He has the best draw and a top rider up in the form of Muzi Yeni. From barrier gate one he may just be well positioned to strike at the right time.

Just when you think the race ends there Palace Revolt will throw another spanner into the works for punters and form studiers. The Weiho Marwing trained individual has been making good progress with his last run being rather eye catching when narrowly beaten into third by Kaygee’s Delight. He does drop back in trip this time around and has a tricky draw to negotiate but can’t be ignored.

Wayne Badenhorst sends out Venerable in race three who has had his fair share of chances but this time he may have found the right field respectfully. Having said that he ran extremely well in his last start and gets the 4kg claiming apprentice who is back aboard. All he needs is a decent position and he will be closing them down into the closing stages.

The Fanie Bronkhorst trained Rockingthetimeaway the race eight runs well on the poly track and looks the horse to beat. She has a decent enough draw with a rider that knows her well so include her in all your bets.

Jazz Diva is holding good form ever since relocating to KZN and cannot be discounted. She has a decent draw and if things map out for her, she has a big say.

Gary Rich saddles Angelic Fort who jumps from a wide draw but must be included in larger perms. She has reasonable enough form to make her presence felt and gets a strong rider up in the form of Kabelo Matsunyane.

Overall, it looks to be a competitive card with plenty value on offer if doing your homework thoroughly.
